Date of Visit: 7/29/2025 Wednesday…read more Stop No.3 on the Foodie Trail After having a wonderful morning driving the back roads of NC I finally came to the Bay Bridge Tunnel (BBT). After crossing it was getting close to noon and again I investigated another place, this one. After reading a couple reviews and viewing some pics, after all I am a dive connoisseur, I needed to stop here on my way north. After navigating US13 I found the place, just how it appeared on line. Made my way inside and from the moment I entered I knew it was a locals and I was welcomed. I started with a Rolling Rock in a bottle not an oil can. Not even looking at the menu I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The bartender even read some specials to me but no I didn't take her advice. She had mentioned spaghetti and meatballs w/garlic bread. The burger take a bit to cook, it was a fat one. The burger arrived and it looked great w/LTO. Then someone ordered the special and it came out. Don't get me wrong the burger was grand but I did just have a burger the day before and spaghetti and meat balls looked better. Next time I'll listen. The burger was cooked properly and the fries were crisp and puffy. I would order again for sure. Lesson learned, take the special when out of town. Peace.

The food is consistently good, if not excellent, the service is friendly and when we belly up to the bar Tracy takes great care of us! The atmosphere is unique, happy and irreplaceable. I'm especially happy now that brunch is back because when we have family visiting, Sunday is now marked by spending time with them vs. hours in the kitchen! Something Different is a gem.

What a great find in the cute town of Urbanna!…read more Stopped in for a late lunch on a beautiful afternoon and it was still packed inside. After eating the yummy food, I can see why it was still busy! Drinks has a fresh squeezed limeade and hubs had a beer and we both enjoyed them. Shared the pulled pork sandwich and tried both BBQ sauces and all of the above was excellent and a good portion of pork. The house made chips were also good and we got a side of their homemade ranch and honey mustard to dip the chips in! Dessert did not disappoint as we also shared the amoretto pecan pie! So good! They make all desserts in houses and it was hard to choose just one! Just means we have to go back to try another one! Service at first was a bit slow due to the restaurant being packed, but our server was kind and sweet, as well as apologized for a little bit of a wait. There is a large dining room, with a few high top tables and a mixture of large and smaller tables for seating, as well as a large bar area. Will be back to try more of the yummy food and pies!

Hands down the best happy hour in the city. I'd argue it's probably the best restaurant too. The…read moreraw oysters are killer, as are the cocktails. The best thing they ever did was to bring the short rib back! I recommend this place to literally anyone who asks for a rec. Be prepared for a wait unless you get to HH early on a random weekday.

I think this time was even better! We arrived around 230 on a Saturday, lucky for us happy hour started at 3 and we had a 30 minute wait for 6 people. Literally perfect timing because no one was waiting before us and about 10-20 minutes later the waiting area became packed for that 3 o clock happy hour. Side note: happy hour is from 3-7, 7 days a week! The service was phenomenal, the whole staff was so nice and accommodating. While we waited for our table, we were able to order a cocktail from one of the waitresses. We also had a baby with a stroller and they made sure we had plenty of room once we were seated at our table. The food was amazing, I'm a fan of cooked oyster but i decided to be a little spontaneous and try them raw. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and clean tasting these oysters were. It reminded me of eating sashimi. My wife and father in law had the lobster rolls, they both loved them! My son had the double cheeseburger from the happy hour menu, literally cannot beat this deal. $6 double cheeseburger with fries on the boardwalk is unimaginable lol. I had the Nashville hot chicken, which was good but maybe could've used a little more flavor. But the quality of the sandwich as a whole was spot on. I really don't have any complaints, this was the highlight of our day. My in laws live in Wisconsin but they travel a bunch and they said that these oysters were some of the best they had ever had. They would never see 1$ oysters where they live, so I'm glad we were able to come here and create this memory together. If you've ever debated whether taking the trip to the strip is worth it, it is! Definitely check this place out!
