After experiencing roof water damage decades ago I regularly get my roof inspected about every 5 years. I learned that with wind and rain, tiles shift get broken, tar underneath crack and water seeps in. This year I went on Yelp I did my research and with excellent reviews we decided to go with Kenco. On Saturday 12/27 late evening I decided to just put in a request for a quote not expecting a respond until maybe the next business day. I was surprised that Kenco immediately contacted me, we set up an appointment for that Monday. They worked with my schedule. Ronnie came out and inspected my roof said that there were 2 broken tiles that needed to be replaced and that some areas needed to be sealed. With several days of rainy weather work had to postponed. But as soon as there was a break in the weather Ronnie and crew came out and did the job. Ronnie kept in contact throughout the process to keep me updated. At the end he sent me pictures and a video of what was done. Cost was very affordable and we are definitely happy with the job done. I had an appointment for them to come give me a quote to install a new pool liner. The appointment time was supposed to be between 2pm and 5pm. At 345pm I called to make sure they were still coming because I saw a couple cars stop by my house and keep going, they said yes, your appointment is confirmed. They never showed up and never called. I had eight companies quote me for replacing five windows (retrofit) and a patio door at my property and Kenco Remodeling won my business. I was only interested in the Anlin Series Windows (Bay View) which made it difficult to find companies that offer that product (HomeAdvisor paired me with companies that did not install Anlin products, even when noted). For those not familiar with ordering windows nowadays, especially Anlin, the individual that measures your windows or doors is also a salesperson so expect a presentation of the products and up selling (if a company asks for an hour block of your time, or ask to have your spouse present, it is going to be a long presentation), almost as bad as buying a car at the dealership. Luckily Kenco, specifically Kenny who did the measurements recognized that I already knew what I wanted so he didn't try to up sell me or do a presentation, which was a relief. Kenny was friendly and on time, and provided a competitive quote. I tweaked my request on the options for the windows and doors a couple times after Kenny's visit and he was always quick to respond to my emails and provided updated quotes same day. With those factors in mind, the windows and door were ordered through Kenny. Ken from Kenco scheduled with me for a final measurement of the windows and door before production. Windows took roughly eight weeks to be made by the manufacturer, which was expected since the other companies that quoted me stated eight to ten weeks. Once the windows arrived at Kenco, I was scheduled for next day installation. John and his crew were on time (9am), courteous, and quick, job was done same day. They didn't use the cheap silicone from home depot that has shrinkage, they left no gaps between the frames and the windows and doors were leveled so they slide effortlessly. Not only am I happy with my new windows and door but I am grateful to everyone at Kenco Remodeling. Will definitely use Kenco for the next property! read more

We hired Kenco to install 12 new windows and a slider door. They were not the cheapest quote, but were reasonable, professional, and timely in their email communications. So many installers were slow to follow-up or didn't at all - Kenco was great. We had one minor hiccup with a window measurement- the manufacturer messed up - but Kenco was responsive with the fix and made it right. Ultimately, I think Kenco also delivered and installed the windows about 4-6 weeks faster than the other estimates we got and they were spot on with their estimate. I requested quotes from several companies for a job replacing some old yellow mosaic windows for our new house. Kenny came by to do some initial measurements and give us a quote. He was timely, really friendly, and thoroughly walked us through the process of the replacement. Out of all the people we spoke with, we liked the interaction with him the most, so ultimately decided to accept his bid - it was neither the highest nor lowest out of our options. I did ask if he would match a competitor, but he very transparently told me why he couldn't do that and explained the windows of the competitor were made from re-grind vinyl and had a much lower energy efficiency rating, something that was popular among flippers. Overall his bid seemed very fair to me and at least I gave it a try, so we decided to proceed. The reason I wasn't able to give a full 5 stars for this installation experience is because there are definitely areas of communication that could be improved. While my interactions with Kenny have been rgreat and he was always very responsive, this did not extend through the entire pipeline. After agreeing to move forward, I was told the production team was going to reach out to me the next day to schedule a time to get exact measurements, but I had to follow up after a week because I still hadn't received any communication. They gave me a call shortly after. It was about a month and a half after when I had received communication again from them that the windows were finally ready to install. Honestly I wasn't too sure if my project was still happening because I hadn't heard from them at all, but turns out one of the windows were back ordered which was why it took so long, and it was totally fine, but would have been nice to be given a small heads up on where we were at with the process. Now that the windows were ready, I was able to schedule a time to get the windows installed. Very unfortunately the day we scheduled ended up being the one day it was 100% projected to rain. As the day got closer, I wasn't sure if the weather was going to be a problem so I reached out to Kenny to ask if we needed to reschedule. He said the installer would play it by ear and call me if he couldn't do the job. Our time slot rolled around and still no call, so I ended up having to message Kenny to check in if that meant the job was still happening. The installer decided it was a no-go so we rescheduled for following day. I don't live at the residence, so luckily I had confirmed that before leaving the house, instead of waiting there at the scheduled time. I do wish the installer could have at least notified me instead of me having to call the company to confirm if he was coming or not. The following day we arrived at the house during the new installation time frame, but after waiting 30 minutes, then the full hour, still no word from the installer. I was unable to reach Kenny immediately, but the installer did give me a call eventually and said he was going to be 45 minutes late (the time slot he was supposed to be here had already passed) and can we reschedule for the following week instead. I had already taken time off work and waited an hour, so I wasn't thrilled to have been given such short notice just to possibly have to go through this again. Luckily Kenny called me back, and was very understanding of the situation once I had explained it to him, and he promptly notified me that the installer would still be coming to finish the installation. There is definitely a huge disconnect between the person you interact with for the project and the person actually completing the project work. Long story short, my new windows are very beautiful and seem to be well installed so I am very relieved at least the project is now complete. As long as you have some patience and are OK with being proactive with communication, I would recommend working with Kenco. read more

After requesting different contractors to replace my windows I decided to go with these guys. The windows they offer are great, energy efficient and they reduce the street noise! I'm in love with the patio door frame, it looks really nice and modern. Because I live in a HOA community, I had to get them bronze in the outside but I was able to keep it white in the inside (before that it was all bronze). They also offer to communicate through text which I appreciate as I'm not fully available at work to pick up calls. read more

Recently replaced a Garden Window over kitchen sink + 2 large non-opening windows with an 8-foot wide sliding door on the back of my home. We bought our home in 2014 and knew we'd need to replace the roof sometime in the future, and the future has arrived! Very strong winds and rain in JAN/FEB 2021 caused numerous roofing shingles to finally give up, we found them scattered around in the front and backyards! Rather than putting this off any longer and risking water damage, we soon had five estimates for a new roof and KENCO's estimate was for the same job as the other four companies but was a few thousand dollars less expensive than the most expensive estimate! Of course, KENCO Remodeling got the job and we couldn't be more pleased! If I could give more stars, I would! We didn't have to wait long for the roof work to be scheduled, but then it was delayed by one week due to more rain earlier this month (MAR 2021). KENCO's crew showed up on Monday Morning as scheduled and didn't waste any time, the entire roof job was completed by Thursday Afternoon and it looked beautiful! The roofline's profile was changed for the better because all the old technology vents were removed and the newer "under-the-shingles" ventilation system was installed! That, and the new Owens-Corning "Cool" Shingles, will help to keep our roof from heating up as much as it used to so our home will naturally be cooler on the inside on those hot summer days that will be here again soon! Kenny and crew followed COVID-19 protocol too, we had no worries! After trying to unsuccessfully sell our house early in 2019, we decided to do some major renovations -- including over 20 new windows, sliders and a custom french door. After meeting with several different companies, doing a lot of research, and getting multiple quotes, we ended up hiring Kenco Remodeling, and I have to say that a year later I couldn't be happier with our decision. Although their pricing was highly competitive (which was part of the decision), what really sold us was their attention to detail, their efficiency, and professionalism. They were easy to deal with, friendly, showed up when they said they would and delivered on time & on budget. Quality of product, price and professionalism were exactly what I wanted, and I love the windows and doors. These things are solid and look awesome! Ken T the sales person, Ken M the project manager and Charlie the foreman on the job They are very professional easy to get along with and will help by listening to what you want and making suggestions. We had made some changes as construction was progressing . Contractors don't like change orders in the middle of a job. Kenco is probably the same but they sure didn't act like it. They did them with no complaining and made suggestions to help with those changes. They suggested dimmers on the recessed lights, a shelf for the microwave to get it off the counter, a different way to layout the backsplash, they helped with the layout of the new floor we had placed throughout the whole house and more items. They helped us with new fencing by suggesting "The Fence Company". Mike and his company did a fantastic job with our custom fence. They made a few trips to our house to see what we wanted replaced and measuring the property. Our property is next to a HOA brick wall. The HOA would not let us extend the brick wall Mike and his crew helped us make a decision as what to do to protect our property since we do have a pool and need to secure the back yard for safety reasons. The installed new vinyl fencing in the back, side and front. The fence is awesome. We won't have to worry about replacing it for years to come Also Jeff from Unison plumbing.
