We really enjoyed working with Luis on our home remodeling project. After our initial contact, he came out to the property to assess and provided us quotes for different sub projects, as well as areas that needed to be addressed from the inspection report. The property was old and he was also able to give us his honest opinions on which ones we should prioritize given our budget. Regarding the kitchen remodel, he also provided a rough rendering of the kitchen to ensure we were all on the same page. Even though we ended up deciding to reconsider our approach on the remodeling (due to no fault from Luis but mostly our indecisiveness), he had demonstrated kindness and immense knowledge spanning different areas of the renovation. My husband and I worked with another then 5 star Yelp contractor for our whole house remodel. It was a nightmare and after 2 years and nearly triple our original contract budget, we were left with an unfinished house (no bathrooms, no fireplace, uninhabitable, and parts that were finished was poorly done), over $100k worth of added debt (contractor didn't pay subs), and the contractor filed for bankruptcy. It was a horrible experience but we were lucky to have found Anna from DesignZone. She helped us navigate through this process (filing the complaint, talking and negotiating with existing subs, and more!!). The good: they built a great spare bedroom in our house. Vitaly was responsive once I lost my patience after four months of no action. The price was also very good. The bad: my original project manager wouldn't communicate unless I initiated. Wasn't proactive on the permit process. Once the work started under a new project manager it went ok except the process alignment for the subcontractors was pretty bad. Electricians showed up and didn't know what they were suppose to do due to a lack of communication. Painters would show up before wall texturing did their job which meant painters had to come back another time. Electrician wasn't scheduled to come back to finish so I just did it myself. New ceiling fan wasn't covered so I had to remove texture and paint from it myself. And my stairs were damaged which although they fixed it, the repair job was incomplete and sloppy. Communication was just not as good as it should be. Still four stars because of the value and Vitaly's responsiveness and it's his business. read more

When Chris came out to do measurements and the estimate he never made us feel like our job was too small ( we had 2 other companies who did) and he gave us a couple options for our budget. After choosing our plan I did have a few questions and would call the office and speak with Lissette she never made me feel as if I was bothering her and was always very helpful. Luis the main contractor and his crew were amazing and kept an open line of communication throughout the whole process. We moved to Las Vegas about a year and half ago, and since moving we have found it extremely difficult to find trust worthy contractors to do some remodeling we have needed in our home. Looking for bath remodeling companies we were becoming very discouraged, the several companies we interviewed didn't give us the confidence we needed to hire them. Their estimates kept changing always being higher with very few additions. After reading their reviews we found a company, Design Zone Remodeling, and thought we would try again to accomplish this project and find the contractor that would give us professionalism, knowledge and above all honesty. After meeting Anna, from Design Zone Remodeling, we felt we had finally met the company that would do the job professionally and honestly. Finding a good GC was tough, we received several quotes (one was even arrested this year for ripping off his clients) to remodel our bathrooms, and prices were all over the place. We ended up selecting Design Zone, it first started with a visit from Vitaly, he provided a reasonable quote, it was also a big plus that he was from NYC (like me). One thing that I appreciated was that they gave some design suggestions for our master bath which ended up looking great. As were deciding who to move forward we appreciated that they were not constantly calling us to try to close the deal, they knew it was a big decision and provided the courtesy to give us space. When it came to job, it started in the end of September, I want to highlight that their project manager Luis Romero was amazing to deal with, he was available, and provided great updates. Want to also highlight that there were no surprise "we need to show you something" and charge us for something that we might not have needed, basically we paid what we were quoted (with the exception of getting some additional electrical work). My project included kitchen backsplash and tiling upgrades, fireplace and living room beams and tile installation and building an entire bar in the dining area. So it wasn't a small project, either you didn't write any of this down during our first two calls or your blatantly lying. 3. I never expected a "free" rendering nor did I ask if it was included, I asked if you do them and what the price was, as no one does them free I just didn't expect the price. 4. When I called back ( the third time) and said yes we'd like to move forward to see what our options are ( because as i said above you recommended us not needing it) it wasn't an intent to waste anyone's time as I appreciated the level of work you provide on your site and videos and thought we'd probably be ok. 5. Not sure why you're throwing the free consultation in my face since that is what you advertise and I would think it's normal for people to get multiple quotes before moving forward with any project. Maybe you didn't intend to but your final call was very condescending, and now you are trying to paint the conversation in a way that alleviates you of responsibility when it literally could've just been an apology and we could have moved forward but as I said previously you've clearly shown how you communicate to clients. One of the construction companies wouldn't do the doors & window and wanted to put in a prefab shower. Being a new resident I had no idea where to start but Luis provided a great list of businesses we could get supplies. Once we purchased everything the workers picked up the items on the way to our house for installation. I've wanted to replace my sink for a while but the sink I had was an odd shape. It was built into the counter top so it was glued between the stone countertop and the cabinet. It seemed like an impossible task for me. Recently I found a sink that I loved. It has a cup washing feature, water purification faucet, the standard faucet and it also has a shower for rinsing vegetables. I ordered this sink with no idea how it could be installed without destroying my marble countertop. I called Design Zone Remodeling and they had an available appointment very quickly. When they arrived the foreman immediately started measuring and within an hour they had the old sink out and the marble countertop cut. They dropped the new sink in and for the first time I got to see this dream come true. I also had 3 visible holes in the countertop from my old faucet and 2 soap dispenser. The foreman told me he could fill these holes with some kind of product and I won't notice the difference. Well, he was right. The entire job took just over 4 hours and well worth it. I couldn't be happier with my house! These guys are AMAZING! I have purchased my three-bedroom house back in August 2020... well, to say that it wasn't in its best condition is nothing to say. I did my research and found DesignZone Remodeling: Anna and her team listen to my needs and wants, were straight to the point with their recommendations and suggestions, and completed a wonderful and inexpensive job in a very short period of time. They have transformed my house from a smelly, dirty litterbox to a cozy place where I always want to return to (or never leave actually). They did a fantastic job of wall-painting - I asked them to add a personal touch and paint each room in different colors, which they accomplished without any questions. They upgraded my floors from stinky old carpet to a beautifully wooden laminate (including stairs and closets!!). They have also changed my kitchen countertops, painted kitchen cabinets and doors, renovated tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Besides that, they were extremely helpful in providing the best recommendations for wall paints, tile, laminate, etc. They even told me which samples to get, what type of paint would work for what type of walls/ surfaces, why laminate would be better for my needs over other types of floorings, AND which stores to go to get all of those products. DesignZone team is without a doubt the top notch construction company in Las Vegas. While I know construction and remodeling projects usually take a long time, my project actually went pretty fast, literally every day I saw steady, noticeable progress. My project manager Max was regularly on site always checking the work and making sure all fixtures I bought myself will fit and work as intended, as well as all of our design decisions and changes, so they don't interfere with anything. Also Max would answer calls literally any time day or night whenever we had an issue (although I tried my best not to take advantage, but issues will always arise in projects like this). We come from California and our house is a modern style home with design that's somewhat unique for Las Vegas area (where most homes are beige or gray stucco boxes), and there were a lot of challenges to get permits approved since materials that we are using are not popular in the area, and Max with his boss Vitaly helped us greatly with that. Chris and Datali came out to give us an estimate to remodel both our master bathroom and hallway bathroom. They were terrific and got us an estimate the next day that was competitive. We asked for some more info. about the design and how best to tile around our shutters in a walk in shower and was hooked up with Luis who would be assigned to our remodel project. He came out a 2nd time and after some discussion , we decided to scrap our plan for a walk in shower and instead go with an inlaid bathtub ( Luis said a standalone tub couldn't be done in our remaining space). Luis assured us a tub would be less costly than a long. walk in shower. He came back to us with a much higher estimate for adding a recessed light , a switch, and said the original estimated was wrong because it didn't have enough tiling. I repeatedly pointed out to him that there is less tiling involved with the tub install ( you don't tile under or behind a tub) and he would talk in circles not addressing why he had jacked up the original estimate. Then I asked why Luis wrote an estimate with no sq footage noted as the original estimate had? He said it was an oversight . We were going to hire this contractor and was ready to sign a contract and pay the 50% down payment if not for the gut check we got from dealing with Luis who would have been our project lead. As another reviewer noted , their estimates are not always in line. Ask for datali or Chris if you want to deal with this company and pay close close attention to your estimate . We ended up going with another general contractor after dealing with Luis. He was also wrong that a standalone tub wouldn't fit in our space because it's been done . DesignZone Remodeling did a fantastic job! We have a townhouse that had an old plastic tub/shower. We looked all around for someone who might be able to make our shower look like a "grown-up" shower. We went through a couple of shower people who never called back or who wanted us to do the legwork. DesignZone was a brilliantly organized one-stop-shop for the bathroom, from the plumbing to the electrical to the tiling. Everything was well organized and happened in a timely and efficient manner, with great communication every step of the way. They even came back after they realized there was a crack in one of the tiles... Love and appreciate the attention to detail.
