Best consignment store out there! I love it. I've never had a bad experience and I've been shopping there/consigning items for years now. The staff has not changed (and that's saying a lot for retail/resale business) - they are bright, cheerful, attentive, thoughtful and I've experienced some of the best customer service there. The racks are always full of GREAT stuff! I get compliments all the time on my daughters' outfits and I'd say about 80% of their wardrobe is from Hissyfits. It's a win-win shopping there. I get to dress my girls in amazing clothes/shoes/accessories and I don't have to pay full-price PLUS I get credit for the stuff I bring in to sell! Awesome place! We found some huge bargains on some brand new high end clothes and to top it off we left a bag with the cashier and forgot it. We drove all the way back home to Las Vegas and I called 2 days later when we realized we had forgotten our mechandise...they had it and let our friends pick it up. I have been a customer of Hissyfits for years now. I have 4 kids and this store has been my all time favorite place to shop for things for them. Their Instagram is so helpful for me since I can't always go browse the store and I find the coolest most unique items there that I never would have even known existed unless they sold it. Prices are very reasonable, even on a tight budget this store has helped me get clothes, shoes, furnishings, books and AMAZING toys that are fun and educational for my kids. Their items are always high quality, great brands and if I am looking for something particular or a specific size and they don't have it, I can wait a week or two and they will have something that is exactly what I was looking for. Because of their diligence and courteous manner, not only did I pick up my FB purchase (Yes, if you follow them on FB and see them post something you like you can buy it over the phone!!)...but, I ended up getting several other things from BOTH locations and as always we got incredible prices! We LOVE Hissyfits. We have found some of the coolest, most unique clothing and toys there. While the store looks cute and has quite the variety of items available (the Phoenix location), there are quite a few improvements that could be made to make it a more pleasant experience. First of all, when checking out the girls dresses, I found several that were in less than great shape, some with spots all over them and one even with a significant tear in it. I also looked at the maternity clothes, and while I did find a pair of pants that I ended up purchasing, the experience to try them on was less than stellar. Their "dressing room" doubles as the bathroom and they also keep additional merchandise that hasn't been put on the floor yet in there...and it blocks the only full length mirror in the room. While checking out, I mentioned how difficult it is to find dressy maternity pants, and the sales lady directed me to their Scottsdale location which she stated had a bigger selection of maternity clothes and better turnover. So after driving over 30 minutes in traffic to get there, I walk in and ask for the maternity clothes and the lady stated that they no longer carry them at this location. After explaining what the Phoenix location told me about them, all they could muster was a meek sorry and that they should know better. Clearly the two locations do not communicate well - if at all! - and they don't seem to care much about the inconvenience that they just put me through. A very annoying and frustrating experience. The only reason they even got a star was because I found a single pair of pants. read more

I consistently shop at Hissyfits and just about always find something for my kiddos. While they do have cute girls clothing, i especially love their boys clothing selection. It is difficult to find cool stylish boys clothing for cheap. You know clothes that don't have a baseball, teddy bear, or train sewn onto the front of them. I will say while the owner is generally nice and friendly the other girls that work there usually look like they hate everyone and the best you can get out of them is a "hey." Must be 20 year old angst. But semi unfriendly chicks won't stop me from shopping here. I find lots of duds for little dough. read more

What an adorable store! I have gotten some great buys at Hissyfits, super cute clothes for a fair price. They aren't the cheapest resale shop but, in general, the quality of clothes is better here. They have some original boutique items and original fun gifts, too. My one complaint is the customer service. Out of all the times I've been in the store, I've been greeted once. Once! On one shopping trip the two workers were standing behind the counter, gossiping about another employee. When I've gone to pay for my items the reception has been lukewarm at best. Why do I keep going? Well, the clothes are cute. But I have gotten to the point where I try other shops first just because they are more friendly. Just smile, ladies, and say hi to the customers. We're the ones who keep you in business! :) 12/26/13---I am editing and adding stars. I went by HF the other day to get some last minute items and I was greeting warmly by more than one employee, two of the ladies working in there went out of their way to help me with something--I seriously got great customer service!!!! Hissyfits rocks!!!! I have been shopping there for years and just love it! All of the employees are very cool, helpful, and kind! They always greet their customers when they walk in. I was appalled to read the negative reviews from Yelpers. I wonder if they are competitors who stage an account/name???If not...you people need to chill! It's a local little shop that is doing a GREAT job! Plus, it IS a consignment store so I expect it to be hit or miss from time to time. The prices are very reasonable!!! I have 4 kids who are growing like weeds. I feel it is such a waste of money to go elsewhere and pay full price when they will just outgrow the clothes so quickly. What I think is absolutely horrible, is that she can't handle a bad review. She has to broadcast it to everyone on fb and ask for good reviews (knowing her "loyal customers" to write good reviews, but not over the top so they don't get flagged.) Here's some helpful advice. Bad reviews are just as good as the good reviews.... They help you see your weaknesses and fix and grow from them. Obviously, my review is getting slautered by her people, but they also refused to read it CLEARLY. Yeah, so she took a costume I was looking for, for herself. But there were TWO. Instead of holding up to a word, she CHOSE to sell these costumes to people who shop regularly. Instead of crying over a bad review, maybe try to right the wrong. If not with the customer that was wronged, with everyone from that point on. Let me clarify for all who didn't care to hear what I was ACTUALLY saying. I did not give a review to pull people away from her. Simply so those who have not shopped there have a well educated idea of where they might be spending their money. You go out and get ripped off and treated badly by a company and tell me honestly you would mot complain! I would LOVE to see that, because the most easy going people (as I am) still don't like nor deserve to be treated rudely or with disrespect. Seeing that she couldn't take it as constructive criticism shows that she lacks respect for people and in that in herself. I dropped off some items at your store 3 weeks ago - 2 swaddles, 7 Thirsties diaper covers, 3 Thirsties inserts, a tummy tub and some custom made pink rocking chair pads. I was not told at the time that I dropped them off that whatever did not sell would be donated and even made sure that the person working added to my consignment slip that you call me before my items, especially the rocking chair pads, were donated. On Friday, I received a phone call asking if I wanted my rocking chair pads and on Monday I returned the call (left a message). On Tuesday morning I called again and was told someone would check to see if they could find them and then call me back, no one did. I called back again and was told that my items were donated, without my consent, and that I had a $14 credit at your store. The woman on the phone apologized but did not offer me anything in return, even though on my receipt it says to call me before donating. I had other items to consign with you, and was making bows (MUCH better than the ones you have for sale) but now will not be consigning with your company and will not recommend that my other mom friends buy or sell there either. I am upset at your business practices and that my $80 custom made rocking chair pads were donated without my knowing. read more

I am so furious right now. I have taken bags and bags of expensive and designer clothing to this place. (Peek kids, Posh Tot, Olive and Ivy, Joe's jeans, True Religion, Janie and Jack and more) There is no organized way that they take your stuff and they don't give you any idea as to what they will sell them for. I took 3 huge bags of stuff there 2 months ago and just went to get my money and there was $8.00 in credit which equaled $6 in cash. I know they have made hundreds and hundreds of dollars off of me and there is no way to track what I left so I'm just out of luck. Whatever you do, don't take your things here or even buy from them. My all time favorite little resale retail shop in town. I've been selling and shopping this place for a decade and even though my kids are growing older and out of the sizes they carry, I still find reasons to stop by and pick up some amazing picks. Stocking stuffers and seasonal new shirts are always awesome, and for any mamas looking for some great maternity finds, it's packed full of great items. They seasonally change out the entire store so the inventory doesn't get stale. I appreciate that they are more selective of styles, brands and condition of intake clothing as it provides a better experience for me as a buyer/shopper than other known kids Resale shops in town. The owner is friendly and funny and I enjoy chatting up the staff while I cruise the racks. Always great music playing, and any of the items I sell here that they don't accept, I can walk across the North parking lot to Assistance League of Phoenix and donate them. Everything out of my car is one stop. Plus, shopping local supports our community. Not only is the owner a local gal raised here, but she supports other local vendors with her annual Hissyfits Hullaballoo event which is always a great place to find gifts and special items made by local crafters. I saw an ad for Hissyfits in one of those little free booklets. The ad made me want to hop in my car and drive all the way from Surprise to Phoenix. I pride myself in putting my daughter in upscale clothes but I have NEVER paid full price for any of it. I am a consignment store freak and I also love craigslist. The add boasted "upscale and trendy" clothes. I guess my expectations were way to high but all of my expectations were based on their advertisement. First of all the place was a disaster. Beneath the mess I could see that when they first opened they decorated it well. It is now very obvious that they are having some major organization issues. You have to practically climb over boxes to get around and dont even get me started on the furniture area, it was so trashed I didnt even attempt to look back there. The selection of clothes is not bad but it is definitely not what they advertise. It is a normal resale selection of clothes from Old Navy and some department store brands. I would not use the word upscale when describing the selection. There was no one in the store when we arrived and the women at the front didnt even look up to acknowledge us, that kinda bugged me too. I suppose if I hadnt seen the advertisement that made it sound really wonderful I would say this shop is ok. It is definitely not worth a drive from Surprise. read more

I have only been there twice but both times when I approached check out I felt like a nuisance and had to pretty much speak up to be helped, when there were 2 people standing there chatting about whatever. The owner and employees are rude. I went in looking for some fun stuff for my daughter and was not greeted nor asked if I needed assistance. I was completely ignored. While I was there another customer came in and was dropping items off, they were so rude to her that she packed up her items and put them back in her car. The store is cluttered and hard to move around in. The owner (I think) was also giving her employee a hard time right in front of me and another lady. I will never go back there again. read more

I love Hissyfits! I started shopping there before i even got pregnant. I went there always looking for cloth diapers. I had a pretty good stash built up with some really good brands that retail for 15-20 dollars a diaper and i paid 7.50-9.50 a diaper. Killer deal!!!! I found a super cute Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag that retails for 180 for 45.00 bucks! I get all my clothes there and plan on taking them back to get a store credit after i have my daughter. I even got a real Burberry onesie that retails for 85.00 for 12 freaking bucks! I will admit that i don't always get greeted (bugs me) and i REALLY don't like the new scottsdale store. It is soooooooooooo small. I had such high hopes for the new store cause the 7th st one is on the small side as well so i thought they would of opened a nice big store in scottsdale..... Yeah no. :( Yeah they might have a lot more higher end clothes but its so small i can't stand being in there. Its also in a really weird spot that you cant really park by. All they have is kids clothes so don't bother going there if you are looking for a stroller. read more

People on here that are complaning on "over priced items"... Stick to eBay... I think the prices are fair because, she does have to pay rent for the shop and other business needs like employees and so on and so forth. You're supporting a local business shopping there and not a big dog. I have had GREAT experiences with Hissyfits and SOME okay ones and SOME "Im never going back there!" ones too but, I do go back. It's a love/hate relationship with the place... I think business is booming for Hissyfits and they're running out of space... It's really hard for me to get around in there and I usually have to have a baby sitter if I want to go there because, trying to get through the store with a toddler is absolutley impossible. I have had some instances with employees being rude but, never the owner. I have found some KILLLLLLER deals though and ones you are PROBALY not going to find on ebay! Some people on here complaining how they'll stick with ebay.. Than do it... You're always going to take a chance of ordering on there and you don't even see the product first it could be a tottaly different picture or size or it could be damaged! Shipping is a pain too... I like my things now. Compared to other shops in the Valley.... Hissyfits has it going on... IF you want to talk about being "over priced" I have seen some REDICULOUS shops that aren't HALF as nice as hissy fits... One of them is on cave creek and Sharon by the church on the hill... I DONT EVEN care to remember the name of that place it was SO over priced. The high chairs looked like they were from 1908 and every item I saw in the store was target-walmart-kmart brand... So go there and than come complain about how horrible hissyfits is! She runs a great local business and being a business owner and a mom... Its a tough life style! I do it too. I think the events she puts on are just wonderful. The only complaint I could have is maybe, some employees could have some attitude adjustments (but, they are young from what I've seen) and also, the space is cramped... I truly believe one day she will expand tho because, she does so great. My love/hate relation ship is more love! Hissyfits keeps my daughter looking stylish on a budget. I run a baby business (not consignment) so, I do know my prices and hissyfits is great! People need to get it together. read more

Resale boutique. Took some of my daughter's clothes here for their consignment program. Fairly disappointed, my daughter had a lot of brand name jeans and shirts (i.e. guess, ralph lauren, etc) and they didn't take any. They were in great condition too. They told me it wasn't their "style." I did walk around the store - their girl section had a lot of clothes featuring tutus and kind more of a hip feel, so I fairly understand. They did take a bunch of shoes we had, but they only do about a 40% cash back. I definitely like Baby Bloomers more - more cash back and they take a bigger variety of clothing. Overall, the store did have great products, but somewhat overpriced - especially for items that were used, I might as well have bought something new. read more

Love Hissyfits. Honestly, I needed to get used to HF as the store is really packed and hard accsible for strollers or wheelchairs. It took me awhile to feel the love. I used to be a frequent Babybloomers girl, but their spirit has gone down. Hf knows marketing. Marketing and social networking is how todays businesses get their names out. You MAKE time for this, when you LOVE your business. The girls at HF do. They make every effort to get their merchandise out. Keep on top of their wishlist as much as they can and post pictures on their FB page. They have 'magnet moms' and reward moms/dads to help to get their name out. They are not afraid of taking abit of risk and it pays off. They just opened a second location in Scottsdale. Their way of marketing is benfitial for them as well as their consigners, because when your item sells you get money or store credit. Nothing but praise for Hissyfits. You guys rock! read more

With so many rave reviews, I thought I had to come out of my way to check this place out. It turns out that it was open on a Sunday (so plus one star) and super easy to get to (add another star) but once I got in there, I thought the selection was very "mmm-hmmm." I found a cute pair of shoes for my 2 year old girl, but not a single other piece of clothing to buy her (I had to write that in, because that NEVER happens!) It was unreal- they had all kinds of stuff, but the selection for 2T girls was small and the stuff they did have just wasn't either the right style or didn't bear a price I couldn't resist. I even checked out 3T for her and the baby sizes just to see what the selection was, and I was underwhelmed. On the other hand, every time I go to Puddleduds I leave with arm-fulls of clothing, mostly new with tags stuff or stuff that looks brand new. I did find one cute Mini-Boden dress that looked semi-worn, but it was still almost $20- I could buy something new off the rack elsewhere if I hit a good sale (as I tend to do) for that price, so I just didn't think it was worth it. Minus 1 star for the limited selection (I should add there were also almost no toys- everything that I did think was cute had "not for sale" written on it); minus 1 star for items looking worn and still being sold at "new item" prices that other stores would have; and minus 1 star for having me all pumped up to leave with great deals, only to come home with a single pair of shoes :( I've honestly had better luck even during my most average day at Kid-to-Kid, which will probably make the owners of this store cringe. Sorry, I know that the consignment stores are cyclical and I'll probably give this one another chance. If/when I have a better day here, I'll write an update. I have been to Hissyfits a few times now and so far I love the shop and the girls working there. They told me they are in the process of shifting out all the old merchandise to make way for the new, so the place is jam packed, but I honestly LOVE the fact there is going to be so many new things to buy coming up. The employees have been very helpful and considerate every time I have come in to shop. It always smells like fresh sweet cinnamon or candy when I come in too! I've been very disappointed with this place, I had consigned there several times and feel that they have favorites. There is brand new target and Carters brands on rack, but I have had new with tags on and she doesn't take them. They are so kind to some and so rude to others. My clothes are very well taken care of and all named brand. They are taking less and less... The Owner is so rude!!! Several times, she just is super snobby!
