I should have composed a review late November when I was let go or December 2024…read more Elite Personnel VP contact NHG and manager EH contacted me about a Contract Travel Accounting position for a large union International Brotherhood Teamsters IBT near the Capitol downtown DC. It was a temp to hire staffing assignment and looking to start Monday August 12. Interestingly, I just relocated from NYC July 31, 2024. I had to work 500 hours to become permanent. I already interviewed three other staffing recruiters and a Silver Spring MD direct hire HR employee which they were stalling with pending next steps in the interview process so I prioritized my time and took IBT staffing agency to survive. Although the pay rate was $29 hour and it was non-negotiable per NHG so I had no choice. She "lowballed" me since my salary was $65,000 from my previous NYC local employment for nearly seven years. My duties include verifying and auditing employee travel expense reports and applying LM2 schedule for accurate coding using SAP Concur software and processing travel-related vouchers on Microsoft Dynamics XL formerly Solomon Edwards software. I was grateful to learn two new software SAP Concur and Microsoft Dynamics. I loved data entry processing travel related vouchers since it keeps me busier than verifying expense reports which caused me to doze off occasionally. Travel Accounting manager TB I thought I worked well with signed my weekly timesheets mostly. This racist Travel Accounting supervisor JF was and is arrogant and indifferent toward temp employee as a Black male and normally out of the office a lot leaving less work for me to do. JF and I were not on the best terms. The other four other Travel Accounting employees trained me a certain way to verify and audit expense reports. I explained to him during two performance evaluations September 17 and November 1 for the reason for my swift delivery and attempted to avoid careless errors and I acknowledged my breakdown to him and to TB. JF applauded my data entry and admin related work with limited and no errors. I expressed oftentimes sitting at my desk unproductive and idle for a long time whether I am working slow or fast. He and TB admitted about some down times which expense reports aren't coming regularly. Staffing agency RHI sent a black woman temp to handle back logs for both Vietnamese permanent employees out of the office in late October. She and I share the same birthday, and she has extensive accounting background including travel accounting experience from a large NW DC university. JF asked me to train her on processing travel expense vouchers and she acted pompous and kept interrupting me in the process. She asked some of the questions repeatedly and cosplaying from making careless mistakes and she did tasks her. She implied JF and another white female temp employee explained the best way opposed to mine so I just ceased training her and talking to her. Their ice was and always colder than mine. I refused to work in a spiritual and gender warfare toxic environment feeling disrespected by her and the co-workers. I am beginning to feel uneasy working with the temp and how she tried to undermine and sabotage me along with JF especially with my 500 staffing assignments are set to expire November 25. I addressed my concerns to TB. Finally, NHG called to inform me Wednesday November 27 to confirm my last day since the Accounting Manager TB and/or JF informed her I was "frustrated" with the lack of consistent and regular work and my refusal to accept permanent offer since they pay once a month according to TB and other employees. Also, I refused to work in a toxic environment feeling disrespected by HR, cafeteria staff, "raccoons" security, and many union employees.

Straight out of undergrad, they were able to place me on a temporary assignment that lasted for about 2 months, and then when that ended, I was placed in a more long-term admin front office role. When nothing else worked to put my degree to use, I could count on Elite to get placed somewhere, and luckily for me, they seem to have great connections all throughout the DMV so I didn't have to wait too long before I would hear back with a potential opportunity. If you're still in the search for a new temp agency, I definitely recommend Elite be your next (and last) stop ;)

I did two interviews and a written test before she ghosted me. I emailed her multiple times. I can understand if the company didn't want to move forward but this was unacceptable from Sarah. I won't be working with Cella again again I don't recommend anyone to. Get the job directly through a company, or at the very least, not through Cella. You'll just get ghosted by Sarah even though she reached out to you first.

Prior to accepting my offer I explicitly asked about healthcare, holiday pay, PTO benefits. My recruiter said all these things were offered. Fast forward 4 months later and I have learned the following: the healthcare plan is not employer sponsored you have to pay at minimum $400 a week for a family to have healthcare that's more than what's offered in the marketplace. Holiday pay is only available after you've worked 1,500 hours. And PTO is no existent. I feel like their was a bait and switch done. And when asked about the details not being fully disclosed. My recruiter simply states that there is one person in the office who has all the details related to benefits. As stated this is the third time that I've worked with an agency and this experience is by far the worst experience I've had.

My 30 min consultation with Katherine was really helpful! I learned formatting tips and ways to beef up my resume by adding a header, summary, and core competencies and creating sectional dividers. She recommended outcome-based bullet points that highlight the benefits and quantify the results rather than a laundry list of tasks. Katherine was friendly and thorough and even had enough time to quickly proofread my hubby's resume. It was really nice to get an extra set of eyes! While the $299 starter package seems a bit pricey, it's a good deal considering that you are equipped with the A team of an interviewer, drafter, and editor. They will rewrite your resume and can fine tune and belt out those bullet points. While my resume could use a few tweaks, the starter package is a great option if you're looking for a resume overhaul without doing all the guess work. I found the resume consultation surprisingly useful. Would highly recommend it and consider the packages!

We were disappointed with our client intake experience at White House Nannies. From the outset, the…read morefocus seemed to be more on why they couldn't help us rather than exploring how they could. Our family's needs are admittedly unique -- we're looking for a nanny every other week and a house manager during the alternate weeks -- but this nuance didn't seem to receive much attention or creative problem-solving. Compared to other agencies we've interacted with recently (such as ABC Nanny Source), this experience felt rigid and dismissive. Even informal posts on the DC Moms web board yielded more promising conversations. White House Nannies also charges fees up front, which we've found is not the case with many other services. Perhaps most surprising was being told there is a severe shortage of qualified nannies, with estimated start dates more than 8 weeks out. That has not been our experience elsewhere, either through agencies or direct outreach. In short, while their reputation led us to expect a thoughtful and solutions-oriented process, we came away feeling that our time and needs weren't valued. We ultimately decided to pursue other avenues that felt more responsive, flexible, and aligned with our expectations.

What going with WH Nannies did for us was being able to outsource the kinds of logistical background items that would have left us behind on the 8-ball on finding someone: they do the pre-screening, they do the background check, they clear the paperwork, etc. so you don't have to. If they recommend someone, whether or not it's an ideal fit you know it's at least going to be a good fit, with a high floor. We had a couple of world class people, such as Alessandra and Hailey. They helped our family through one of the roughest stretches anyone could wish for as our youngest child had some chronic health issues. It did not matter that she had issues, that we had two dogs, or anything else. Everything got handled with aplomb. The one time things did not work out with one person in particular, WHN helped us address the situation promptly and gracefully, demonstrating the highest of standards and a firm commitment to excellence for the families they service. I won't sugar coat it: they are pricey, but so worth it. I have zero reservations about recommending them. Simply top notch service.

I purchased the Career Launch Kit for $899 from Your Next Jump (YNJ), along with a cover letter for…read morean additional $100. While I appreciated the professionalism in communication, the overall experience fell short in several important ways. First, there was minimal human interaction throughout the process. At no point did anyone take the time to understand my unique career goals--whether I was repositioning myself for a new industry, returning to the workforce after a break, or targeting a specific type of role. The service felt highly templated and lacked the strategic depth I expected from a career consulting company. They did want me to submit two job opportunities, to get an understanding of the roles I wanted to apply to, but by the time YNJ completed their services, those roles are obsolete. YNJ emphasizes their move toward AI- and tech-driven solutions, but this focus seems out of sync with recent hiring trends and feedback from recruiters nationwide, who have voiced growing concerns about the authenticity and accuracy of AI-generated materials (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/21/business/dealbook/ai-job-applications.html?smid=url-share). Unfortunately, that disconnect was evident in the documents I received. They don't need to be experts in every field, but there's a noticeable lack of industry knowledge that makes it difficult for them to highlight critical, role-specific functions. Drafts were returned with errors--including incomplete sentences and exaggerated or unclear claims--so I had to carefully review everything to avoid misrepresenting myself. Revision times of 24-48 hours (even for minor edits) created unnecessary delays in my job search. And conversations with Tim felt rushed and surface-level; I was never fully confident that my feedback was truly understood or applied. I did call YNJ to discuss these concerns before posting this review, but they did not respond, I'm assuming it is because they already received their payment. I had roughly five different hiring managers review their work, and none were impressed. While the general template that they utilize is unique to their services and adds a splash of color amid the monotonous pile of resumes, nothing really stands out. In the end, Your Next Jump's work may serve as a basic starting point, but if you're a professional with a nontraditional background, transitioning industries, or aiming for mid-to-senior level roles, you'll likely need to invest significant time refining their drafts yourself--or seek more strategic, personalized support elsewhere.

They didn't bother trying to understand my job or what career I am looking for and basically just copy and pasted my previous resume but in a different template. The very few changes they made were sentences that were incoherent, repetitive (used the same sentence several times throughout the resume), and full of typos. No amount of "unlimited back and forth between the writer" is going to salvage poor and lazy writing. You're better off saving your money and doing it yourself or passing it through ChatGPT (which I am pretty sure they are doing anyways). The 5/5 star reviews for this company are clearly purchased/bots. Christina J.'s review is spot on for the experience
