The search for a good therapist who you jive with, takes insurance, and is also accepting new clients can be really demoralizing. It definitely was for me. I felt so fortunate when I found Huma Sikandar Fatakia, and I can't say enough good things about her. She is so understanding and has an almost uncanny ability to remember details I haven't spoken about in a while, and connect the dots to help me recognize patterns and opportunities in my life. She has also helped me incorporate some mindful practices in my life when things feel heavy... which I never thought I'd be able to do. When Huma went on maternity leave, there was a seamless transition to Alyssa McCall for that duration. I again felt really fortunate that they didn't leave me hanging and matched me with another provider. Alyssa was also great! It is hard switching from one provider to another, but Alyssa offered new perspective and some different tools that I've held onto since going back to Huma. Finally, Michell Stanley was able to accommodate my partner and me very quickly for sessions, and that has been a huge help. She is very good at what she does and very understanding. As the owner of the business, she's also easy to work with for any administrative needs. I feel so extremely lucky to have found Moksha Living when I did, before the pandemic, and to be able to continue my work with them in a safe way. During COVID-19, all sessions are remote via a secure platform.

Michell demonstrated the perfect amount of care and accountability, and balanced intellectual and emotional introspection. I truly feel like a better person after my work with her. I've tried a not-insignificant number of therapists in my life and Michell is above and beyond the best therapist I have ever worked with.

And,…read moreafter working with Lauren versus working through finding my own career path on my own (for free!), I am writing this review to let others know that your money is better spent on things to help you over the hump! I paid for four months in advance for her coaching at a rate of 595$ per month. Because I was extremely depressed in my job at the time, I missed out on going to two months of coaching sessions. This is to be up front and direct that my review is based on going to only two months of sessions with Lauren. I did not "schedule and cancel" any appointments - but rather did not schedule the sessions at all. I understood that she would still take the payment, but for her to accept $1,200 in fees when her client was depressed and underwater felt a bit unethical in my point of view - and I just want to share it for others who might be interested in seeking real help for their struggles - that these are the terms and conditions you sign up for. The actual coaching sessions were quasi-helpful, but I really did not receive support or any actionable steps to analyzing my own situation. The parting advice I got from Lauren was "Think and sit for a while with what you are good at and what you like to do, and go from there." She also went through my values - having me highlight things from both of these columns. I've gained so much more from people like Tim Ferriss or Tony Robbins or Gretchen Rubin -- and those services are things that are offered for free. Tim Ferriss, in particular, offers an 80-20 analysis that is most useful for anyone who is struggling. I am now in a dream job overseas and am working hard to do right by it, but the experience with Lauren stuck with me. I really wanted to share this with others so they can make a more informed decision when they are struggling in choosing the right career for them.

After talking with Lauren, I am a believer in coaching. I always thought it was for people who…read moredidn't know what they wanted to do with their lives and it turns out I think Lauren could help everyone in some way. Lauren has an easy manner that does not make me feel like I'm asking for help, I think that is a very valuable part of her process. I was a bit of a skeptic, which is funny because I have spent money and time on Palm Readers, Astrologers, High End Astrologers (you heard me -- $$$), Tea Leave Readers, Tarot Card Readers, Past LIfe Readers, and a damn straight Crystal Ball Psychic. While I love a little pageantry, it turns out none of these experiences offered any insight in to my fate. So buckle your seat belt Dorothy, it turns out I had it in me all along. Lauren was my Wizard of Oz, Oprah-light-bulb-moment-giver by talking me through a sticky situation that I could have let overtake me. She left me with a new perspective, and a plan. I feel confident about how to proceed and I have clear steps on how to move forward. I'm ready to bury the runes and ouija board and stop reading the star charts, I think coaching is illuminating and is what I needed to chart my own star.

In the past 4 years, I had gained 40+ lbs due to some special medicine I was taking (and probably some overeating of hamburgers too haha). I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. Juice cleanses, special diets, pills, multiple private trainers, you name it and I had done it. Unfortunately, nothing stuck. Knowing my wedding was just around the corner, I had to do something to get the weight off for good. I wanted to feel confident on my wedding day! I found Lindsay through a quick yelp search and was intrigued. Let's get this straight. This is not a special fad diet or some strict eating plan, its a way of life! Lindsay gives you the tools, skills, and mindset to make a long lasting change in your lifestyle. During the course of the 6 weeks, I lost 8+ lbs and now (more than 3 months later) I'm still continuing to lose weight by following what she taught me. I plan to be at my goal weight in the next 3 months (in time for my wedding!) And most importantly, I feel fantastic!!!!! I feel like a whole new person. Yes, it's a monetary investment but it was worth every penny :) do it!!!

What I appreciated the most was her accessibility. She would review menus of restaurants I was eating at or provide me with customized recommendations. When I was frustrated with results or what the scale said, she was non-judgmental and offered helpful advice for how to overcome cravings or emotional reactions. In fact, I was surprised (in a good way) by how much of the program was centered around mindfulness and balance. Even though the program only includes 4 sessions, I felt like I was in constant communication with Lindsay and she genuinely cared about my progress. She frequently sent email updates and checked in, and when I had questions, she was never more than a text away. I am excited to see continued progress. I would recommend Lindsay to anyone!

Mapping Out Sucess…read more Before scheduling my appointment with Montrella Cowan I was super nervous about therapy. I knew I needed professional help to manage my life, relationships, and other life-stress factors but I wasn't sure on how to start working on myself. My first session with Montrella was EVERYTHING I needed. She encouraged me to take notes from our session and apply them to my daily life tasks. Among many life-accomplishments that she led me to conquer, I want to focus this review on my career path. I became stagnant in my previous position and I did not identify myself as being stuck until I sat on Montrella's couch. I didn't like my job but it paid the bills so I remained. Through her therapy sessions, one of my 1st exercises consisted of me mapping out what my "perfect" career/job would look like. We did not turn this into an action plan it was more so of a checklist for the future. A future, I thought was so far away. Rewind a few months into my, stagnant work-life, I was placed in a situation beyond my control and lost my job. I met with Montrella and she reminded me to pull my journal out. I dusted the book off and started applying to positions that fit my checklist. Two months later, I am proud to say, I have a wonderful job that aligns perfectly with my educational goals and past and future career accomplishments. Work no longer feels like a task as I enjoy what I do.

Coaching did help me figure out some of those things, but more than that I learned to accept responsibility for every aspect of my life. That wasn't easy at times and it was really great being in a supportive group watching others learn those lessons too. But what was really special about the experience was that Cat didn't just offer support and accountability for what I thought I should be working on. I purchased the Career Launch Kit for $899 from Your Next Jump (YNJ), along with a cover letter for…read morean additional $100. While I appreciated the professionalism in communication, the overall experience fell short in several important ways. First, there was minimal human interaction throughout the process. At no point did anyone take the time to understand my unique career goals--whether I was repositioning myself for a new industry, returning to the workforce after a break, or targeting a specific type of role. The service felt highly templated and lacked the strategic depth I expected from a career consulting company. They did want me to submit two job opportunities, to get an understanding of the roles I wanted to apply to, but by the time YNJ completed their services, those roles are obsolete. YNJ emphasizes their move toward AI- and tech-driven solutions, but this focus seems out of sync with recent hiring trends and feedback from recruiters nationwide, who have voiced growing concerns about the authenticity and accuracy of AI-generated materials (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/21/business/dealbook/ai-job-applications.html?smid=url-share). Unfortunately, that disconnect was evident in the documents I received. They don't need to be experts in every field, but there's a noticeable lack of industry knowledge that makes it difficult for them to highlight critical, role-specific functions. Drafts were returned with errors--including incomplete sentences and exaggerated or unclear claims--so I had to carefully review everything to avoid misrepresenting myself. Revision times of 24-48 hours (even for minor edits) created unnecessary delays in my job search. And conversations with Tim felt rushed and surface-level; I was never fully confident that my feedback was truly understood or applied. I did call YNJ to discuss these concerns before posting this review, but they did not respond, I'm assuming it is because they already received their payment. I had roughly five different hiring managers review their work, and none were impressed. While the general template that they utilize is unique to their services and adds a splash of color amid the monotonous pile of resumes, nothing really stands out. In the end, Your Next Jump's work may serve as a basic starting point, but if you're a professional with a nontraditional background, transitioning industries, or aiming for mid-to-senior level roles, you'll likely need to invest significant time refining their drafts yourself--or seek more strategic, personalized support elsewhere.

I have never wrote a review before but feel obligated to due to my experience…read more I purchased the Job Search essential package for fixing up my resume and I have to say I am incredibly disappointed with the service. They didn't bother trying to understand my job or what career I am looking for and basically just copy and pasted my previous resume but in a different template. The very few changes they made were sentences that were incoherent, repetitive (used the same sentence several times throughout the resume), and full of typos. No amount of "unlimited back and forth between the writer" is going to salvage poor and lazy writing. You're better off saving your money and doing it yourself or passing it through ChatGPT (which I am pretty sure they are doing anyways). The 5/5 star reviews for this company are clearly purchased/bots. Christina J.'s review is spot on for the experience
