Their scheduling/communication is 100% on point and low-friction. (What a relief...) This is an "all around" practice -- holistic/integrated view of food, exercise, health and treatment. I went for improvement/optimization and not weight loss per se, and was very happy with approach. Learned about local resources, and super-excited about Dana's new Fitness work in the new year. "Tribe is Everything". Great new practice. Highly recommended.

My primary care physician recommended weight loss to help manage my triglycerides. Overall, the…read moreprogram itself appeared professional and potentially effective. That said, I strongly encourage anyone considering this service to ask very detailed questions upfront about billing and how charges are presented. In my case, I found the billing structure difficult to understand and reconcile. There were multiple entities involved (the practice, insurance billing, and a compounding pharmacy), and I did not feel I was provided with a clear, consolidated breakdown of what I would ultimately be responsible for paying before moving forward. While some costs were covered by insurance and others were described as standard membership or pharmacy charges, the way these amounts appeared on billing statements was confusing and unexpected to me. I questioned the billing and discussed it directly with the physician who runs the program, but I never felt I received a clear accounting that aligned with what I believed I had consented to. This may partly reflect my own misunderstanding, but from a patient perspective, I do not recall seeing a single, transparent summary of costs or giving informed consent to the overall financial commitment. My takeaway is not that the care itself was poor, but that billing transparency matters greatly. I would advise prospective patients to request a full written breakdown of all potential charges--practice fees, insurance billing, and pharmacy costs--before enrolling.

My relationship with food has changed, and their ongoing help and support has allowed me to maintain my weight loss over the past two years. This place has changed my life!! I started the IP protocol in June in preparation for my wedding…read morebut also just out of frustration in trying to lose weight. I've been overweight my whole life and was able to manage to lose 100lb through diet and exercise while in college and grad school. When I started working the weight came back and then some and I have been trying to lose it ever since. I've tried everything from an array of diets, expensive gyms, etc., all to no avail. Completely desperate, I skeptically attended an info session and ended up signing up. Within the first 3 months I lost 45lb!!!! Here are some thoughts on the different aspects: The Clinic: The clinic is in a little strip mall in the Palisades, probably the only complaint I have in this entire review is the location of the clinic. You either have to drive or take a rare bus, but luckily driving is an option for me. I do wish they had a downtown location though. The receptionist is friendly and really helpful! Alina is the coach I have been working with for the majority of my time on the protocol. She is AWESOME!!! She's encouraging and nice when she needs to be but will also lay down the law. I hope she doesn't mind me saying but she's on the Protocol as well and knows how it feels. She has great attention to detail and will pick up on little things in your food journal. She also gives her personal phone number and is available almost always to provide advice-- I've texted her in desperate moments or when I just need a quick answer and she always answers quickly. She really cares for the people she coaches and it shows in her work! I have seen a couple other coaches but they were lackluster in comparison to Alina. I'm sure they would be great in their own right but I've been spoiled. The Protocol: As part of the protocol you meet weekly with a coach. Your initial consultation is 30 minutes and you go through a series of information and baseline measurements. Subsequent check ins are 15 minutes and you go over your measurements, food journal, and any questions or issues. The clinic is really good and efficient with these. The protocol itself is pretty simple and you get a sheet of paper with all of your instructions. As long as you stick to the sheet you will lose weight. Simple as that! The hard part is dealing with social situations but eventually your find ways around it. No exercise is required and there's a period that you can't exercise when starting the program. I actually like working out so this was a bit difficult, but eventually you find what works for you. It is expensive but in the end you save because there are no incidental expenses like happy hours, starbucks, gum, snacks, etc. Besides the cost of the IP products you have to buy lean protein and veggies which can be done on a budget. In the end it works out and it's definitely work the weight you'll lose. I even quit my gym membership so ultimately my net spending on fitness and nutrition is not much different to what I was spending before. It does have a lot of restrictions but the results are fast! Understanding that this is temporary will take you a long way with motivation. In Phase 3 and 4 of the protocol you can have butter and toast! Something I never thought I would be able to have again! The other piece is finding your routines, it takes some time to get there but eventually you fall into a rhythm and it becomes almost mechanical. The Food: This is obviously subjective. I have a huge sweet tooth so this diet has ended up working well for me because on what other diet can you have a chocolate shake for breakfast, a rice crispy treat for lunch, and wafer cookies for snack and still lose weight?! (These are my 3 faves) When you start the program they give you a sampler supply that's supposed to get you through the first week and then some. You get to try a variety of product and you soon figure out which foods you gravitate toward. The biggest thing is keeping an open mind that first week-- there were some things I loved and some things I hated. Eventually you'll come up with some staples that will become your go tos. I like to experiment with a product I haven't tried every now and then. I personally am not a huge fan of the entrees and savory snacks but that's just me. The pancake mix make great waffles that taste like normal ones and the maple oatmeal tastes like quaker oats to me! In additional there are several Pinterest boards, websites, facebook groups, etc. that all have recipes for IP products. For boxes of stuff I didn't like, I've always been able to find a recipe to use it up. For example the potato puree made great bread rolls! I also have a chocolate mug cake almost every day! I know I did a lot of research before signing up so I hope this review gives enough information for someone teetering on the edge of a decision. I would highly recommend not only this program but this clinic to anyone!!!

During the consultation, we both decided that for the best results that I should do pro-fractional and they were right! PA Dave Bauder was very professional and knowledgeable. I was given everything I needed for before and after the procedure. The clinic followed up the day after to make sure everything was okay. I had about five days of downtime and started to clear on day 7-9 looking forward to seeing the final results in the weeks ahead. I also started using the anti-aging line that Weight Loss and Vitality carries the ZO by Zein Obagi. I have seen amazing results with that. I also go to their Alexandria clinic for routine lunch-time chemical peels every three months. The picture below is my before and after so far of my profractional treatment.. just three weeks after !!! PS look at the wrinkles on my nose they are gone !

If you're a natural skeptic like me, and anytime you read a 4 or 5 Star review of a business, you…read morenaturally assume it's a fake review planted by the business itself. Well let me assure you I am 100% NOT associated with Weight Loss & Vitality with exception of being an actual patient. I just finished my second Sculptsure procedure for the removal of fat in my flank (side) areas. And let me let tell you that the procedure definitely does work! I actually started seeing results after my first treatment. My clothes started to fit a bit looser, and form-fitting dresses actually to fit my form. But I want to also be very clear that the procedure is not an instant weight-loss procedure. It takes several weeks to start to see the results. (I also exercise several times a week and drink 2-4 cups of green tea a day). The procedure is also not totally "painless" either. There can be some mild discomfort as the skin heats up to shrink the fat cells below the surface. I took 2 Tylenols prior to both procedures and it definitely help minimize my discomfort. The procedure is only about 25 minutes and the time goes by very quickly. All-in-all it was for me it was definitely worth the time and expense. I would absolutely recommend Weight Loss & Vitality for anyone that struggles with those stubborn pockets of fat that simply wont go away.

My goal was simple: learn faster and tap deep into the creativity of my subconscious to compose music. Within the first 3 sessions, she was able to help me do just that; but then we went deeper. I discovered things about my personality and subconscious that would have taken at least another decade to learn on my own. Rita accelerated my maturity and learning process in just a matter of a few hours. We delved deep into trauma, conquering overpowering feelings of sugar addiction, confidence, and many more topics. Her expertise at seeing things from multiple angles had me viewing life from so many new perspectives that it quickly changed how I navigated the world - for the better. It was like she guided me out of the Truman Show and then equipped me with tools and knowledge to adjust and thrive in my new reality. She's super easy to talk to, incredibly wise, and one of the most interesting people I've ever met. Also, her office space is very warm & cozy; it's easy and pleasant to melt in her atmosphere. Without a doubt, I'll continue utilizing her services for years to come!

I felt heard, seen, and felt. She gave good examples and dialogue that I could absorb and understand, which I very much appreciated. I liked that I received a few MP3 audios to continue doing the work, making time to listen 2-3x daily. Even after 7-sessions, I don't feel, just the in-person sessions would have been enough. For the issue that I came in to work on, I'm still working through it. I know every individual is different and hypnotherapy works differently for each person. It's not overnight or immediate for each person to work through things. I think it's good, there is a free consultation initially to see if the relationship could move forward. If you could be receptive, if you're both a good match, if she could actually help you. But then, I was a bit caught off guard with having to commit to a 7-session package, $1225 out the gate. I felt that could have been explained a bit more in the phone call prior to consultation. I like to ease into everything in life and I'm a bit more cautious with taking a plunge, especially with a provider of conscious work. I paid in two installments; I had to leave half as the deposit for the full package to secure that I was serious about doing the work. I had to book my dates right then & there after consultation to secure doing the work sooner rather than later. She gets booked out well in advance. It took a month for me to get the initial consultation appt. Cancelling is not a good idea if you care about doing the work per week or every 2-wks, but if you must, especially on short notice, as long as you can be flexible, she can get you into a slot asap. And she can shift an appt if she gets well in advance notice. Nonetheless, I'm glad I did the work and I had a good experience with Rita. I highly recommend her for hypnotherapy. I appreciated her honesty, practical guidance, feedback, words of wisdom, emoting skills, and choosing to do this kind of work. And I appreciated that she was responsive via email, text or if I needed information.

POST-COLONIC: -Right after you will want to go to the bathroom and empty all of your fluids and it takes awhile but after you're done you feel amazing...the only thing I can compare it to is when you wake up in the morning and brush your teeth and your mouth feels so fresh and clean, that's how my gut felt after! -Avoid gassy foods for 2 days -Avoid strenuous exercise -Eat laxative foods: salads, vegetables, fruit, juice, soup, fish, chicken, turkey -Drink several glasses of water with lemon juice CONCLUSION: I've read the other Yelp reviews and I can understand their concerns with the appearance but that's just aesthetics. I mean when you think about some of the best food you've ever had it's typically in a low key, hole in the wall spot. I was so shocked at her nastiness and snarky attitude that I almost walked out twice, but went ahead- thinking she "cant" be this way the entire time. But- I was wrong.. she got worse. To begin ... she was late and left me at the door outside ... for 10 minutes. We she arrived she didn't even introduce herself.. I thought she was a front desk person. But she was slamming around clipboards and no eye contact .. just over all rude. She attempted to charge me for a consultation ... but I told her there was NO place where a $50 fee was attached to this appointment. The paperwork does mention a consultation ... but there is no mention of money . I told her " of course I assumed you would consult with me before sticking a hose up my backside .." she agreed to continue without a fee.. but from that point on was like a used care salesman.. or timeshare.. Pushing products and upselling with every word. When I questioned her about anything ... from the amount of water being used, or what was in the fluid of the "green coffee mugs" she was adding ... she blew me off and said "its a basic colonic that you asked for" there was no explaination of the service... no step by step sharing of what would happen before or as it was happening. For someone who has never had it done... that would be the least she could do ... It went south from there. I told her I was full, and she added more... told me to tell when I had enough and was full and I told her I already had a few minutes prior and she continued to add more. As she told me to roll to my side, I told her fluid was escaping and I could feel it on the table and on my buttocks.( in fact i had to raise my body and l lift my shirt, so it wouldn't get wet . When she told me to get up and walk across the hall to the bathroom - fluid came out ( as expected.. right :?) and she got furious. Told me I did it on purpose. While I was in the bathroom - she was banging doors etc... When I exited the bathroom she told me that she has 2 mops .. I just looked at her.. and say "excuse me" Her reply ? yes, I have 2 mops, get one and help me clean up your mess" I told her absolutely not - I was not about to do that. Would you clean up blood if you bled on the floor of the lab during a blood test ?? she told me to go out the back door ... ( my car was in the front parking lot. As you can imagine... I will not be sending any referrals her way . I would never go back and wouldn't send my worst enemy to her. She obviously needs more customers or she wouldn't be advertising with Groupon, but with this attitude - and demeaner - its no wonder she isn't doing well .
