Great food truck dessert option. I follow them on facebook and they we at my neighborhood park tonight. Very simple concept. Pick you pop and they have sorbet, gelato, and icecream pops. Then pick your chocolate dip. White chocolate, Milk chocolate, or semisweet. Lastly you pick 2 toppings. They easily have 15 or more fresh toppings. Great variety. I went with an Oreo gelato pop that had a whole oreo inside it. I got it dipped in semi sweet chocolate with crushed almonds and oreo pieces sprinkled on as my 2 toppings. I am not a big dessert person but I loved this as a special treat. The price was about $6 a pop and as a treat, it was well worth it. The guy in the truck was very nice and not a creepy ice cream truck guy. I hope they come back to my neighborhood park again.

I went to the Amacoa food truck night in Jupiter and saw HipPop's food truck there. I ordered the Oreo pop dipped in milk chocolate with Oreo pieces on it and my friend ordered the coconut pop with white chocolate and coconut. They were both delicious but mine was obviously better. Service was fast and and the vibes were good. I'd def buy another next time I'' there.

Saw this company on The Profit a few years back and finally got to visit their truck outside my complex this weekend. Everything was super tasty and loved the ability to customize most everything. Also ordered their godfather (not pictured) but it looked and smelled amazing as I sent it home with my mil. They now offer delivery to your door a couple days a week and they could be dangerous.

I tried hip pops a while back at their weekly Plantation food truck event and had the opportunity recently to try them again at another food truck event. Their pops are made from either gelato, sorbet or yogurt. You can choose if you would like your pop drizzled, half dipped or full dipped in (dark, milk or white) chocolate. Then you can add a variety of toppings from a variety of nuts, sprinkles, coconut flakes, pretzels, Oreo cookies, etc. You can also opt to make your pop into a smoothie. I ordered the mango with coconut flakes. Nice little chunks of sweet mango that paired lovely with the coconut flakes. Great tropical flavor combination on a hot Florida day. The great thing about there pops is their not only delicious & refreshing but you can come up with endless combinations/variations. FYI, if you purchase six pops they give you a cute little hip pop cooler bag to transport them.

So what do you do when you want to serve ice cream to up to 1,000 people in a couple of hours? Call HipPOPS! These ladies came into our breakroom and set up the line. First select from the list of gelato pops, then pick a dip and last a topping. there was much to chose from but my company brought the choices to several so it wasn't overwhelming. The ladies approached our long line with humor and patience as the line seemed to go on forever. Don't even question the taste... it was delicious. I would love to find them again. Enjoy!

After seeing the weekly Yelp recently regarding Food Trucks, I realized that I haven't reviewed one before, at least not that I recall. But I do recall HipPOP's early years! I remember looking forward to seeing them on Thursdays at the University of Miami back in my college years-- just so you know, I was never a student there. Just a frequent visitor to see friends on campus and help coach a local dance troupe, so yes I paid for parking, and for sure it's worth it for HipPOP. Fast forward to present-day, I see them on Mondays at Arts Park in Hollywood, and they are my go-to truck for dessert! I love the concept of gelato or sorbet on a stick that's dipped with chocolate and covered in your topping of choice -- all for only five bucks! My favorite flavors are Pistachio, Oreo, Banana, and one spicy chocolate flavor that's been discontinued (it was less spicier than their current spicy chocolate flavor). I usually have them covered or drizzled in dark chocolate and topped with hazelnuts or oreos (and if I feel like it, I get half and half). Amazing to have on a nice warm day, especially in SoFlo. Pop, Lock (in your mouth) and DONT Drop these amazing treats on the floor!!!! Absolutely love this italian style ice cream =gelato which is on a stick! They also have yogurt and sorbet but seriously stick to the gelato it's that rich, creamy and decadent! They have many flavors such as chocolate, vanilla bean, mint, pistachio etc! So I got gianduia flavored, which is a mixture of chocolate and hazelnut. Amazing choice if I can say so myself! Second step: I went all out by getting my gelato dipped in milk chocolate! If you are treating yourself, I recommend you getting it dipped and lastly I got my gelato popped by adding the hazelnut chucks at the end which were caramelized!!!!! Yummmmm: it was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Hippops truck has their schedule on their website so you can locate where they will be in south FL for that particular day. One thing for sure, they are at the Arts Park in Hollywood,FL every Monday evening from 5:30-9:30 PM. So go check them out.~

These pops are soooo good with countless flavor combinations bound to satisfy any craving! We visited this truck at heritage park in plantation. They have food trucks there every Tuesday night. I got the salted caramel dipped in milk chocolate and coated in crushed Reese's cups. My sister tried the cheesecake dipped in white chocolate and Oreos. The cheesecake base was really good quality. The woman working there was patient and helpful. My only complaint is that the portions are way too big to eat in one sitting without feeling sick and if you got a gelato base you can't really take it home with you for later. I would rather have a slightly smaller pop for a fraction of the price and not feel overwhelmed or like I have to waste it. For sure need to get these again.

I hired HipPOPs to cater a party for 175 people. Working with them was very easy, they arrived early, set up the table and everyone got to pick their own flavor/Dip/toppings. Hands down the best gelato I've ever had. The Godfather pop was my favorite. Highly recommend you book them for your event.

One of the best ice creams I've ever tried. This food truck came to one of our work events and my co-worker were all raving about it. Now I know why. Quality ingredients served at the perfect frozen temperature. I got the Belgian chocolate dipped in dark chocolate w/ crushed hazelnuts and pretzels. Absolutely delicious and the ice cream held up pretty well in the hot weather. Watch out for this food truck when it comes to your hood. It's a must!

Is there anyone who doesn't love HipPOPS???...ok so maybe I wasn't the biggest fan the first time I tried them, but turns out I just ordered the wrong combo (plain pear) and since then I've been in love. Steven's go-to is the pistachio pop dipped in milk chocolate and then dipped in crushed pistachio. I must say he's created a winner here cause I don't even whine when he orders it over and over again and never tries something new. I figured it was better to avoid the fruit based bars and stick to the creamier flavors but I've since tried another fruity bar (it was purple so something berry?) and it was amazing!! Although I'm swearing off sugar I may find it necessary to sneak in a HipPOP every now and then ;)

This food truck really is a gem. The quality that you get is bar none THE BEST. I ordered an ice cream on my way into the Art walk and on my way out because my first pop was so frickin good.. Tonight I ordered: -Belgian chocolate dipped in dark chocolate and crushed pistachios... DAMN!! what an amazing combination. I loved that it had plenty of pistachios. -Mexican chocolate chipotle dipped in white chocolate and pecans.... Also real good. It's chocolate, but you definitely feel the heat from the chipotle. It's an odd combo... spicy ice cream. It works well though, I definitely recommend it! I also tried: -hazelnut dipped in white chocolate and shredded coconut -vanilla bean dipped in milk chocolate and oreos -coconut dipped in milk chocolate and almonds All awesome popsicles! The reason why they are so good is great quality ingredients and there is no skimping on ingredients which makes the value of each popsicle shoot through the roof. They don't cheap out on ingredients and toppings, and that makes all the difference! read more

We found this truck at the Food Truck Invasion on Young Circle in Hollywood. Hanging out later we learned that they had just launched. My son had a lemon sorbet pop with dark chocolate drizzle and proclaimed it yummy. (He's 5) I had hazelnut gelato with white chocolate dip with crushed hazelnuts. This was heaven on a stick! It was,very reasonably priced at $8.75 for both items. The pops are Kosher, gluten free and totally delicious. Now if I can only get them to open a truck in Northern Virginia! read more

Amazing , delish one of a kind pop. They gave NSU dental students free pops and was able to sample pistachio. Forgot to take the picture before I gobble it down. Good portion and was dipped in chocolate and top again with chinks of pistachio. Yumm. read more

I only knew HipPOPs from Food Truck Invasion at Heritage Park. During COVID, they've become one of my favorites. Aside from the truck being out on weekends, they've been doing direct to front door delivery. Nothing but good things to say - great product, great people, easy process. So far my favorites are - pistachio / milk chocolate / salted pistachios and Nutella / semi-sweet chocolate / caramelized hazelnuts. YUM! read more

As soon as I saw the Hip Pop's truck, I knew I was walking toward Deliciousness! I was amazed at all the unique flavors of Pop's on a stick, and the choice of toppings. The friendly and enthusiastic servers in the truck recommended pistachio and my mom wanted the mango. We topped our pops with a drizzle of dark chocolate. The taste was heavenly! Thanks Hip Pop's! The pops were so good, I had to get more to take home. Also, I had a Margarita pop on the way home. Imagine, a pop that really tastes like a margarita. Do you remember back when you were a kid, running furiously with cash in hand trying to catch the ice cream truck for a frozen treat? Well, during the North Beach Food Truck Festival I had the pleasure of reliving that experience as an adult with HipPOPs gelato truck. If you are a diehard chocolate lover and foodie, try the Mexican Choc Chipotle with dark chocolate dip and crushed pecans, it is rich smooth chocolate with a little smoky heat and the the nuts add a decadent crunchiness you have to try for yourself. Next time I had the lemon which is the most delicious fresh lemon sorbet with a hint of lemon peel, I almost wanted to dip it in vodka and slurp but I digress. HipPOPs has some of the most fresh and delicious gelatos/sorbets I have ever tasted. I believe any combo can also be made into a shake too. When I joked with the owner if he was making a lot of $$ that night given the long lines he had he smiled and said "Don't know about that, but I do know we are making a LOT of new friends ;)" I heart HipPOPs! Try them out, you will not be disappointed. read more

I LOVE HIP POPS! This is a genius concept! I wish I had thought of it, haha. They have several gelato/sorbet flavors to choose from, all of which I've tried are delish! They have a lot of topping options too, so it's always going to be a different pop each time. Last time, I tried the cappuccino dipped in semi-sweet with sprinkles. Cappuccino gelato was on point! One of the best I've had. So that goes to show that it's not just the experience making this 5 stars; it's also the gelato product itself. read more

If I could give this food truck more than 5 stars I would. This has to be one of the best, and most clever food trucks around. Gelato pops! Not some crappy gelatto either, pure rich goodness dipped in your choice of scrumdiddlyumptious chocolate and rolled in a topping of your choice...HELL YEA! I had to break my diet when I set foot at the food truck gathering on Mondays at Young Circle in downtown Hollywood. My aunt got the Nutella pop dipped in white chocolate and then rolled hazelnuts, damn that was a great combo and I'm not a fan of white chocolate. I got the coconut pop, slathered in semi-sweet chocolate and rolled in almond (ALMOND JOY HEAVEN!). It was so good I practically inhaled it and wanted another but my waist band can't take the stress so I had to show some restraint. I know when I return back to visit Hollywood, I would definitely come back to this truck for round 2. read more

Had them for the first time at the weekly Tuesday night food truck meet at plantation heritage park. Plenty of variety to chose from, ranging from the usual vanilla to the more unique flavors like raspberry lychee. I get giddy like a kid in a candy shop whenever I see hip pops! No matter how long the line is... I will wait my turn. Excitement will be trying to see over people's heads to see what they have for the day. The way the truck is designed-- allows the customer to clearly see all the options! My classic go to is pistachio with milk chocolate dipped in pistachio. Everything is very fresh and tastes natural. Have not tried something I didn't like. Was so happy when my company brought them to one of our events :) read more

LOVED LOVED LOVED this food truck. As an ice cream addict, I zoomed in directly to this truck. I visited them at Wynwood Art Walk in Miami. Anything ice cream I am down for and I was excited to see all the options they had. First you pick your flavor - I'm glad they had more than vanilla and chocolate. From Nutella, to Oreo and Mint, they had it all. I went with Banana. Then you choose your chocolate to dip that in, I went with the white. Finally, toppings! From Oreos, to crushed pretzels to nuts, it was hard to choose but I decided on the pistachios. They tasted really fresh and they went heavy on the amount I got. Every combo seemed delicious and I definatly want to try more. At $5 a pop, it was a good deal, especially for food trucks which tend to be a little more expensive, yum! read more

I'm a licker. Popisicle, lollipops, pennies, tables, faces, ect. So seeing a new pop truck during art walk this past Saturday, I was pretty excited. It was actually one of my friends who spotted the truck from across the street and hauled ass through traffic to see what this bright and cheery truck was all about. When I got closer, I recognized the name and recalled reading about this new truck in the Miami Newtimes; might have been urban daddy, but whatever it was, they made the create-your-own pops sound delish. Perusing the options, you will see that first you pick your gelato (kosher and gluten free) flavor, then your dip and lastly any toppings. So pretty much unlimited possibilities! I was all set to order a cappuccino flavor gelato pop dipped in white chocolate and covered with chocolate sprinkles, when they broke the news that their credit card app thingy wasn't working. Tear. I try not to carry cash with me when a) I'm on a diet and food trucks are nearby and b) when I'm in large crowds and/or in close proximity to the ghetto. Thus, I had a whopping 3 bucks with me. I probably could have gotten the gelato pop plain without any toppings or dips and the 3 bucks would have most likely covered it.. but I'm not the kind of girl to half-ass an experience ,so I chose to forego and save my combo for the next chance I got. Luckily though, my friend had cash and her and her bf both made scrumptious HipPops. My friend got Belgium chocolate covered with white chocolate and rolled in graham cracker crumbs which I took a few bites of and it was great! They are good sized pops and very rich, well worth the 5$ it cost her. I can't wait to try a variety of these pops! Some possible double fisting might ensue next time I get a hold of HipPOPs! read more

Tonight at the Food Truck Invasion in downtown Hollywood on Monday nights i had the opportunity to try HipPops for the first time. HipPops are frozen gelato and/or sobert frozen pops that are dipped into one of three chocolates and covered in crushed nuts, pretels and other accessories. AMAZING, the people that work in the truck were really helpful on what to explaining everything and recommended whats best. I had a vanilla bean gelato with milk chocolate and crushed petrels. it was amazing with the perfect combination of chocolate and geloto it was amazing GO TRY IT! Price was $5.oo for the one i had so a general dessert price and comes on a stick so easier to eat. read more

As good as it gets for popsicles, HipPops' high quality, artisan pops are thoughtfully created treats made from fresh fruit, with a terrific choice of chocolate dips and sprinkles, too. Apart from the frozen fruit pops, the dips and toppings are served "on demand,' giving this food truck the aura of a mobile "pop parlor." We lucked upon the truck at Wynwood's Art Walk--would be happy to make this place a mainstay if we can find them again. Broadly, the best "popsicle experience" I've had in Miami. Simplicity at its best! So there's a bunch of flavored pops you can get. My favorite is banana. You get to dip them in your choice of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate. Then you can top them with nuts, oreos, reeses, etc. Dark Chocolate + Banana + Reese's = Died and gone to heaven. They're pretty fast too. So if you ever visit their truck their isn't much of a wait. My only wish is that they manufacture these for resale at Publix, Sedanos, I'll even go to Food Star for them. read more

I'm a huge food truck fan with one heck of a sweet tooth, but surprisingly enough I have not been impressed by many dessert trucks. Not until I came across HipPops, that is. Their gelato pops are simply delicious and the service is great. The owners are really friendly and talkative and if you're lucky, you'll be attended by their children at the window who are absolutely adorable. They have mastered the art of up-selling and you don't feel bad about it in the slightest because they are that cute. I'm looking forward to stoping by their truck again tonight at the Hard Rock! Best Ice Cream you will ever have! I have NO idea why this is not a perfect 5 stars. I always make sure to save room for dessert when I go to Food Truck Mondays and Tuesdays in the Fort Lauderdale area because this is the best way to end the night with a nice HipPop! Must have! Had a chance to try the mango pop at The Downtown Dadeland Food Truck event in Miami...it was D-lish-us. I asked for the "plain mango" the cashier said "one naked mango, nothing plain about these pops" and he was absolutely right. A little pricey at $5 a pop but I haven't come across these pops, flavors or varieties. I felt like I was at an adult ice cream truck. It had a window with ALL the awesome flavors on display, the dipping station with 3 different chocolates and all the tasty "poppings" crushed Oreo, candied pecans, Reese's, chocolate or rainbow sprinkles and the list goes on. If you are fortunate enough to stop by this place in Dania Beach do it! If you find the food truck somewhere else don't hesitate to try one of there incredible fresh popscicles read more

Wow - this place is amazingly inventive! I tried the Mexican chocolate chipotle gelato pop dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in caramelized pecans. They call it the "hot tamale" and explained it was an award winner. I could taste why. This gelato is amazingly creamy and chocolaty, and a punch of spice follows. This truck was the star of the Hard Rock food truck rally and made my night! My brother had the Nutella flavored gelato dipped in milk chocolate and pretzels. Another winning combo - yum! read more

If you are at an event and this food truck is there GET GELATO! I had their pops 2x during Art Basel and is was exactly what I needed. I love the concept: pick a pop, dip pop in white or dark chocolate and coat it in things like almonds, peppermints, Oreos, etc. This truck is also so pronounced, the logo, signs and colors. Also they take credit cards. read more

I couldn't pick just one word to describe the awesomeness of this frozen tasty treat! My friend and I went to the food truck rally at the Festival Flea Market on Saturday and agreed we would save dessert for last. After eating ourselves silly we threw in the white towel and started checking out the dessert trucks. There was something about the Hip Pop truck that caught our eye...maybe the lovely color pallet of frozen bars screaming at us from the front window. Since the sun was out in full force, these made my mouth water. I chose the pineapple and my friend chose the mixed berry. Holy cripes, I wish I would have had room for about 5 more of these! It was so refreshing and delicious. The owner came out to talk to us and we learned that they are homemade in small batches and 70% fruit. Not only is the product stick licking good....but the openess and friendliness of the owner made me a fan for life. read more

I've had HipPOPs at both the event in Hollywood as well as the one in Plantation on a few occasions. It is seriously yummy. I love the fact they have so many flavors of both the sweet and creamy and the fruity flavors. I don't know how well the tangy fruits would pair with the dipping, so I haven't tried as many of those as I would like. That said, you have to try the coconut with the dark chocolate with your nut of choice as the topping (I chose pistachio and it was perfection). It was so rich and delicious and the three paired together perfectly. read more

Literally the tastiest dessert on a stick I can fathom. Hubby and I tried the suggestions of the guy serving us which were an oreo bar with white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, and a chocolate bar with dark chocolate and oreo crumbles. Both were insanely decadent and rich. Neither of us could finish ours since they were SO sweet, but I wouldn't hesitate to get one again the next time the opportunity presents itself! read more

Love this novel idea for a food truck. Pick your own combo or one of thier premade popsicles. Pick a flavor either a Gelato, sorbet, or yogurt dip it some kind of chocolate and then some kind of nut, oreo, or coconut. Great idea, good execution, good service. read more

Wait, what? I ordered cocobombs as gifts for pickup from the truck when it was going to be in my neck of the woods (Boca Raton). I got a text the day the truck was scheduled and learned that it was in the shop (hey, stuff happens) and the order would be delivered instead. I asked if it would go out that day because I was worried about getting it in time for my event and was assured it was going to deliver that day. I assumed it was being shipped. Nope! At 8:30 that night, our doorbell rang and it was our hand-delivered order fresh from Dania. They look amazing. Great service! read more

HipPOPs founder Anthony Fellows has owned, managed and operated food service businesses for more than two decades, including experience with frozen desserts dating back to 1990. Now, he takes hip to a whole new level with HipPOPs. "This is the hippest way to eat gelato and sorbet," said Fellows. "You can hold it in one hand. It's portable, customizable and not the same-old frozen dessert on a stick." Allow me to preface that I have driven at one point in time traveled from my place of residence through 8 states just to try out an exquisite ice cream factory therefore I can say that I was fortunate enough to come across their Ice Cream tasting display while at Artserve.org for their RED EYE multimedia event this past July 14th. The flavors I tasted were : Coconut, Belgian Chocolate, Pistachio, Blood Orange, Lemon, and Passion Fruit. I started these delights with Pistachio, nothing what I expected, yet everything it should be. I expected a typical 'perfume' flavored ice cream and was 'wow'ed with a true adult flavor of pistachio that include minced bits of mint and pistachio pieces one can bite into. I have not tasted this caliber of pistachio in over thirty years since the closing of Rose Ice Cream in Venice Beach, California. The Belgian Chocolate tasted like an adult cold chocolate milk (without the extra sweetness) in tall glass when one just gets home from work. Hits the spot - you know the one I'm talking about. The Coconut which I had dipped in dark chocolate with almonds was the epitome of a frozen "Almond-Joy" on a stick - again with just the right amount of sweetness to make it a dessert and not a candy confection. Next were the sorbets, the Passion Fruit (or Maracuya her in S. Florida) was exquisite. All the right tang in all the right place along my tongue. Were many others are so tart that they overpower this was well prepared. Were others are so tart that they bite, this sorbet relaxed its flavor over my whole tongue allowing me to taste the flavor of the fruit. The Blood Orange with its bits of rind is like none other, tangy, sweet, and inviting. I only wish I could have been standing outside in the hot sun to truly enjoy its refreshing quality. Lastly, the Lemon, with the bits lemon zest tasted like lemonade on a stick. Though I use few words to describe it, do not let this lead you to believe that the flavor is minimal....quite the contrary and quite the surprise... I have tried many flavors of their gelato such as coconut dipped in milk chocolate with coconut flakes, pistachio dipped in semi-sweet chocolate with crushed pistachios, mint chocolate and vanilla bean dipped in milk chocolate with crushed pretzels.
