They not only fixed…read morethe issues I originally posted with a 3* review, but also revisited what we had discussed back in March - fixed it, and found something new going on that we will fix soon. VERY happy now. Prior review: We hired Capitol Duct because they were the only company we called that used a scope (camera) to examine the ducts before cleaning. We should have gotten the ducts cleaned before installing an in-duct booster fan, but we didn't think of it, so we needed the cleaners to be extra careful with their rotating brushes in that area. They came out 3-2-26. [I deleted the rest of my review, but the photos can' be deleted - they show dirt that showed up on our filter 2 months later. Capitol Duct came out again right away and took care of everything. NOTE to others - if something goes wrong, call them before posting a bad review.]

I compared several vendors, and Rainier was the one that provided the most clear and competitive pricing. Alex arrived at the agreed upon time (we had an arrival window of 8-11am) and proceeded to perform the job quickly and efficiently. He washed the filters outside to minimize the dust inside the house. Since the maintenance, the A/C feels a lot more potent, which is great with the high temperatures we are currently experiencing. I would gladly recommend Rainier Heating & Cooling.

The installation team was on time, professional, and their high-quality workmanship really shows. About a month after the install, the thermostat turned out to be faulty. They delivered the kind of follow-up service you hope for but rarely get. Highly satisfied.

Lots of places were dishonest, just tried to sell us refrigerant for the loop without trying to find the actual issue. Then we found this company and Paul came and was phenomenal. I saw him work our units with such detail and care, finding two different leak spots and even fixing joins that were weak. Super detailed and actually cared about getting a quality job- not milking us for a quick sale. this is quality work you can actually rely on. Thanks Paul, would definitely recommend this company moving forward. Their quotes for pricing was also significantly less (half) than other places for the same work and material so not only is this place quality but also cost effective.

Owner Rohan, Brett (scheduler and service technician), and their entire crew were professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely cared about getting everything done right. Our installation turned out to have several unexpected challenges, but instead of taking shortcuts or treating them as problems for us to solve, they stayed with it, communicated clearly, and worked through every issue until everything met our expectations. The crew showed up when they said they would, kept the work areas clean, treated our home with respect, and paid attention to details throughout the installation. We always felt informed and never pressured. One year later, the system has worked flawlessly and has exceeded our expectations for comfort and performance. Since our installation, I've referred many friends and acquaintances to Best Choice Heating, and every person has reported back with 100% positive experiences. It's rare to find a company that combines technical expertise, excellent customer service, integrity, and follow-through this well. We would absolutely recommend Best Choice Heating to anyone looking for heating and air conditioning work in the Tacoma area.

The issue I had with Greentop is the warranty registration, which was incorrectly registered with my name and contact info as the dealer. I traded a couple e-mails with Vera and was then ghosted. I ended up calling the manuf myself to have them at least correct the name of the dealer on my warranty registration to Greentop. They advised they couldn't change the contact info. I'm hoping I don't have any warranty issues down the line due to their error.

While scheduling the appointment, I have just been told, that because I said, "I didn't think it's heating like it should" That I now have to make an appointment for a " repair technician" that will cost $100+ for the visit. The "free" appointment that I pay for every month is only for the once a year visit by the "maintenance and safety technician" and because I simply said I don't think t's working quite like it should" now I have to pay $100+ for this visit.
