I'll start with the good before I get to the bad. Within the booklet, there was a coupon for $50 off any electrical service and "Free Estimates!" Seemed like a good start, so I called Williams & Sons. Tim Williams (owner) is very friendly and generally is a good communicator. He was punctual during the initial assessment and his team was on time the following day to commence work. Tim's assessment determined that replacing two circuit breakers should do the trick. Tim assures me that these circuit breakers are $85/each and that it should be a quick and inexpensive job. Here is where things go wrong... 1. I call Tim after the two circuit breakers have been replaced, noting that there was no statement of work provided to me and I never received any type of $ estimate prior to work commencing. I shared my concern with Tim that I did not want to receive any kind of surprise invoice. He assured me it "wouldn't be that bad" and he was surprised that there was never an estimate provided to me. 2. Within the hour of my concerned phone call, he sends me an invoice for $650 for a job that could have taken his 2-person team about ~30 mins. Within this invoice, Tim tries to charge me $140 for his initial assessment (lasted 10 mins) and another $340 for labor which was never discussed or agreed-upon. 3. Thankfully, Tim was understanding in coming to a more reasonable price, and reduced the bill down to $350 after providing him the "free estimate" / $50 off coupon. 4. Fast forward 1 month. The problem persists and the replacement of the circuit breakers did not remedy the issue at all. I texted Tim to ask him if he could come by to re-assess the situation since the invoice clearly states that their work is covered by a "1 Year Guarantee." Tim ignores my first text. The next day I text him again to which his response is "Sorry, I don't have anyone who can help you. My team is spread too thin." Uh, what? So much for the guarantee? To me, this job felt like a quick grab and dash. $350 down the drain. Avoid.

We have had such great experiences with Coffman. We've used them for over 10 years for a variety of…read moreelectrical needs. Recently they replaced our 28-year-old furnace and air conditioner. The furnace died during an upcoming cold spell. Coffman not only rearranged our appointment so we could have the new furnace installed sooner, they also made a special trip to drop off space heaters for the few days we waited! Because the air conditioner was as old, we asked for it to be replaced too and received a very nice discount that saved us thousands of dollars for doing both installs together. The Coffman crew showed up on time on appointment day and worked efficiently throughout the morning & afternoon. When they finished, the foreman spent an hour with us to show us the work they did, the new appliance features, and how to maintain them for optimal longevity. He even showed us where to drain sediment from our electric water heater to prolong its lifespan and that appliance wasn't even part of their install! He was patient and thorough about answering our questions and encouraged us to call the Coffman office to get the county inspections scheduled on our behalf, which we did. Once again, they exceeded expectations. Their team - both office crew and onsite technicians - are highly responsive and clear communicators. Jake was my first estimate and answered all of my questions, as at that point I wasn't certain what to do about fixing my current system. The other companies were mostly just trying to sell me as half of them didn't even look at my current system and just said I needed a whole new one! Once I decided to use them, Jake and the crew (Eric, Evan, and Zach, plus many more) that showed up to do the work every day were always friendly, answered any questions I had, allowed me to have input if it would affect the aesthetic of my home, and cleaned up before they left every day. Jake or Eric would meet with me before they left for the day to recap what they did that day, what their plans were for the next, and gave me an idea of timing. I hired them for a new basement digout, meaning they upgraded my house panel, and did all the electrical work for the new space: 3 bedrooms, a bath, workout room, and utility room. Table Mountain ended up being the best value option for my specific project. They weren't the cheapest (although they were close), but they def were not the most expensive either. And they held 100% to their initial bid, even though there were some unforeseen things that came up - which is what I was most worried about: getting a low estimate, then raising the price along the way. This never happened. Everyone that showed up was polite and respectful, and they all seemed to know what they were doing. And I am 100% happy with the quality of the work. In fact, when the city of Denver inspector showed up and asked who did the work and I told him, he said Table Mountain's work is always good (and he quickly buzzed through the rest of the inspection - which is a huge relief since inspectors can get very nit-picky if they don't think something was done exactly how they like it). When I called to request more immediate service in line with what was promised, the representative on the phone argued with me, accused my spouse of making errors that led to the cancelled service, and was extremely rude to me; Robert, whoever answered your phone at 2:36pm today needs a serious performance review, because as an HR rep myself, I was absolutely appalled at how I was spoken to after the company made a critical scheduling error; if my staff spoke to a customer that way they would be fired. Talking over me, telling lies, and being an absolute asshole is not an acceptable way to remedy a service issue. To anybody reading this, this company is disrespectful, unprofessional and untrustworthy. I advise anybody considering this company's service to consider if would allow individuals providing such terrible customer service over the phone to enter their home at all.
