We arrived 5 minutes early and checked in at the window. We sat in the waiting room for about an hour before I went up to ask questions. I realize delays happen in a medical office and me harassing them isn't going to get us called back sooner, but I was at my breaking point. Apparently there was some emergency surgery causing the delay. Like I said, the delay is not what is upsetting. It's the lack of communication. They could have called before we arrived and notified us they were running behind, or let us know when we checked in or at any point while we sat there waiting and apologized or offered to reschedule, but apparently none of the 4-5 women working in the reception office could be bothered to do such a simple and polite thing. The appointment itself took literally 2 minutes. What a waste of time. I should bill them, because you know they would have billed us if we didn't show.

I'm eighty-one years. needless to say, this wasn't my first rodeo having teeth extracted. He didn't make sure I was painless before he started extracting tooth 31. Worse pain I have ever felt with my last previous dentists. It was barely numb before the pliers went to work. It all ended with with a dry socket (you don't want one of these.) Ended up going back to my dentist of 20 years, where he had to rebleed the socket and pack it. After two weeks, It is now finally healed. incendently, I followed their post-operative instructions to the letter. I will not go back to this outfit.

If you decide to question him about it he will accuse you of calling him a liar and refuse to talk further, he will even go as far as to make his nurses back him up (the $36 dollar procedure was because he said novacaine wouldn't work), he had his assistant say, when confronted with the discrepancy, "I gave you two shots of novacaine and it didn't work so your anesthesia was mandatory".. Have you ever had a novacaine shot and forgotten about it? Well I guess forgetting two is common... This is such an easy scam for him because what can you do, not pay the bill and have it go to collections? Its a small enough amount that one person would spend more than the bill to fight it but large enough that a few of these a week probably pays for his cottage up north. One star for Lansing Oral Surgery is being generous...
