The energy was good and the staff was very nice, very attentive. The menu was great(no AYCE) but great options, nonetheless. The Kalbi was absolutely satisfying. It was hot, tender and juicy (I was starving) the rainbow was good - I typically like when. They throw in some sweet shrimp. Most of the fishes on top were good. I'm a huge fan of unagi - it's not the best I've had but it was fantastic. They are open late and that is the best part.

Rating: 4.3/5 I will…read morealways come back for their Tear Drop roll, which is delicious and has a good dollop of fresh, chopped wasabi on it. Usually, I also get the fried chicken gizzards but tried the fried chicken cartilage. The batter coating could've been thinner and have more seasoning instead of relying on the side sauce for flavor. The texture of cartilage was good though. The champon is pretty salty and misses depth of flavor. Overall, I like trying new things here but my favorites are Tear Drop roll and chicken gizzards.

Came here twice, both on weekends and during their happy hour. Everything we ordered was delicious…read moreand well made. All of the fried items were fresh and hot and all the flavors were really balanced. Even the Ramen soup wasn't salty which is a problem I see at many ramen places. Our favorite appetizers were the crab rangoon and the hama rayu but honestly everything that came out was solid. I will say that if you've had shrimp dumpling or Gyoza before, don't expect anything fancy/new here. Pretty standard. The service at this restaurant is on POINT! The servers are always hustling and checking in often despite how busy things are. Whoever is managing the staff and whoever is cooking in the kitchen is doing a bang-up job. We were in and out in 30min. We love efficiency! This is a great place to go after work or just to get a yummy bite to eat. The Happy Hour makes this place so worth it! This is our new favorite spot.

Overall, I thought the service as great. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food came out super fast. We happened to be there during happy, and i thought their HH prices and selection was great. My only negative is that I thought the broth tasted not as great as the Dallas location. That was disappointing in a sense, but it was still good. I'd recommend checking this place it if you're in The Star area.

My shoyu ramen was very good, wonderful broth, great noodles and bamboo shoots, and a very flavorful soft boiled egg. The chashu was fairly small, but it was still a great bowl. My partner's tonkotsu was not as good as the shoyu. Nothing stood out as bad, but the broth was weak and the fungus was mediocre. It did have a very generous amount of chashu. The service was great and the atmosphere was impeccable. I will likely return.

We were seated quickly, and our waters were brought out right away. However, the menu here is different from the other locations I've been to, so I recommend checking it before you come if you're expecting specific dishes. They were also out of some of their noodles. We placed our order, and the karaage salad arrived first within about 10 minutes. Sadly, the ramen came out almost 30 minutes later and wasn't plated cleanly. There was broth all over the edge of the bowl, and I even think the server's finger was in the broth when she dropped it off. Additionally, the ramen was missing the egg, and the noodles were overcooked. One of the waitstaff seemed to be the only one actually working, as he was helping about 95% of the customers in the restaurant. Overall, I highly doubt I will be returning to this location anytime soon.

Never imagined the portions would be so large for these prices!! We got four rolls (including rainbow rolls which were also $7 only!), takoyaki, and karaage. Amazing food, spectacular vibe (good ambiance with music that isn't so loud you can't hear each other), and the best prices in town! I went the day before Thanksgiving and the japanese chef was a one man show. He was the only one running the establishment because everyone else had left to go to Japan for the holiday. He is so so so so nice. I don't go back to restaurants very often but this place has my heart. This time I got the spicy pork ramen (17), spicy garlic chicken ramen (18), and then got the spicy garlic pork ramen (19) togo. I will say it is a little bit salty, with the garlic ones being more salty than the non garlic ones. However the garlic ones do have more flavor. There's not that much meat/protein either just one piece of meat and an egg. The could be slightly better but it's still good. It also just has bamboo shoots but nothing else. A very simple bowl. Ambiance is nice, it feels upscale but also homey at the same time. They have an open kitchen concept which I like.

I had to dig for it. I know they probably put the meat at the bottom so it'll warm up with the broth, but I prefer it at the top. Unrelated to the food, I sat on the bench and there was a customer sitting on the bench beside me. She kept shifting around and causing the entire bench to move, which I didn't like.

i've always heard people saying good things about this place, so i finally decided to give it a…read moreshot for to-go lunch since I was leaving Costco. It definitely lived up to expectations (and for a to-go lunch, that's saying A LOT!). So many people throw around the word 'authentic' but this place is the real deal. they've got a daily fish special (even have Akamutsu as an offering.....real indication of a true sushi joint) and a menu offering izakaya options that are hard to be found at other japanese restaurants. We got some rolls and ebi tempura udon to go. Speaking to japanese attention to detail, each to-go bag came with a hard cardboard cut out at the bottom of the paper bag to prevent spilling/caving through. Utensils packed were good quality disposable chopsticks, and for each portion of sushi there was a ramikin of wasabi, ginger, and both regular and low sodium soy sauce packets. and this sounds silly but high quality napkins included in the to-go as well. the rolls came with great generous portions of fresh fish. but what super surprised me was the ebi udon. the ebi tempura were HUGE. REAL DEAL TEMPURA, FRIED IN HOUSE. alot of places just get those frozen ones that are skinny but tiny...these ones are massive, and well worth the price. the udon soup came with wakame too. i called ahead to order and they quoted me 15 min, however it took about 25 min for me to have the order in my hands. no big deal, but even during a weekday lunch the restaurant (albeit on the smaller side) was 70% full so they were prob pretty busy. can't wait to come back and try this place in earnest later!
