Best pro shop in Indy.
Christian K.

Hindel Bowl gets 5 stars because of it's shop. Finding someone who can drill bowling balls to perfection is like finding a good auto mechanic. They are very hard to find. Steve Lang is the most experienced, professional pro shop operator in Indianapolis. He is in the Indianapolis Bowling Hall of Fame and has won a few Regional Pro Bowling Tour stops. Steve drills bowling balls for the most elite bowlers in Indianapolis. Steve's pro shop has the best prices in town. Any bowling ball you buy here is normally $20-$30 cheaper with or without drilling than most pro shops. That includes Don Mitchell Pro Shops, which are located in all Royal Pin houses. He is very customer oriented. Steve will even watch someone bowl before selling them a ball to make sure they are getting the right ball to help improve their game and arsenal. He even talked a bowler into buy a bowling ball that was $50 cheaper, because it was a better fit for the bowler. Steve also has molded thumb grips, which are awesome. They are very cheap. If you have a ball that the feel is just perfect, he can make a mold of that grip to use in you other equipment. That way all your balls will feel the same. I will only let Steve Lang drill my equipment. I've been bowling for over 20 yrs and was on a nationally ranked collegiate bowling team. Steve's customer service, prices, and experience are that good.

The Women win again!!! Thank you Hindel Bowl for hosting Tabernacle MBC! We had an awesome time as always!!!!

Love going here, even as a non-athlete! We had a great time. Definitely a unique experience here…read morein Indy. They also have great pizza for purchase here and a full bar. We also gambled with the mystery beer machine, which was pretty fun! This is a great place for birthday and other social gatherings.

Fowling (noun) fowl-ing: The hunting or trapping of wildfowl…read more Google "fowling definition" and this is what you'll find. Google simply "fowling" and you learn about this odd sport where you combine football and bowling. Just now. Right NOW as I'm writing this, the word fowling finally made (sort of) sense. Football + bowling = fowling. Now I'm even pronouncing the word different with a long "o" sound versus the "ou" diphthong. I had to Google that, too, but once I saw diphthong, I knew it was going in my review. You're welcome for the 5th grade grammar lesson. Please redeem your Pizza Hut personal pan pizza for your hard work. Ok, fowling. It has nothing to do with trapping birds or teaching birds of prey to land on your arm (that's falconry). Nope, it's a game you play with friends and beer. The setup is more like cornhole, but you use bowling pins and throw, that's right, a football. Someone was clearly drunk when this game was invented. But what a great way to bring a group of people together! The Fowling Warehouse specializes in the game of fowling, but has several other activities to enjoy as a group: pool, darts, a few arcade games and a golf simulator. I may go back just for the golf simulator. This is the real deal, a full Trackman set up. It was pretty sweet. Those simulators can be a little intimidating at the PGA Superstore, but it's tucked away in the corner at the Fowling Warehouse where you can shank balls and not feel like a fool. Mostly. There are also two bars and you can order pizza and boneless wings. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. They use the magnet cup system where the cup fills from the bottom. My favorite thing was seeing multiple signs on the bar that warn you that if you push the bottom of the cup, you will get wet! And I smiled devilishly thinking about curious people testing their luck with the cups and losing every time. For me, I enjoyed a couple glasses of this blood orange IPA. Delicious and refreshing. The Fowling Warehouse isn't exactly my jam, but I think it's the kind of place that is perfect for a certain crowd who enjoys games and likes a new challenge. And they can handle a large party! If you are looking to try a new sport that feels like it was invented by someone who lost a bet, this place is for you! I kid, but the Warehouse is nice and clean and large! The service was good and everyone seemed to have a great time. Seems like a pretty good spot for your next party if games are your thing! Please note: No birds were injured during the writing of this review.

They have lots to do so everyone in your family can do their favorite activity!…read more We had a group of 4 adults and started with putt putt. It is upstairs so those unable to climb stairs may not be able to participate. It was 9 holes of black light ,dark, dinosaur themed fun. You can tell that it's a little outdated as there were lots of pieces broke and the air was one of them, so hot!! We then went into the bar for some drinks to cool down and a couple appetizers. Pretzel bites with nacho cheese and fried pickles. Both were good. The pretzel bites were so greasy that the cheese kept sliding off though. In the area they have axe throwing and table top connect four. Then we bowled. $50/hour/lane. That was a lot of fun! There are robots who bring your food to your lanes - all while jamming to the beach boys surfing USA - which was neat and terrifying at the same time, ha! They have an arcade but we didn't try that out. Plenty of parking and restrooms. Would recommend!

Too many crane games which are always at full price. Tried playing a few games but am still learning how to play and win. My go-to is now the Wizard of Oz because I can play for a long time on the bonus game (4 pays). Arcade card costs $1. I filled my card with $20 plus a $5 bonus. Wednesday is half price arcade games, which is the only deal I believe they offer. Lots of exchange options but what would I find useful. We needed help operating the card exchange machines. I wish they offered more deals or coupons.

It's a very small bowling alley and the parking lot looked full, but we took our chances and thankfully we did. The worker told us there was a very long wait, but since we only had 4 people, he said he would move us up the line, and we were able to get a lane right away (we felt very lucky). We have member cards, but since it was so busy, there was no discount on this day. This day was very crowded inside, but we did get a table close to our lane that had 4 seats, perfect for us. These lanes seem smaller than other bowling alleys, and the pins are on strings. The workers put the names in for you, unlike other bowling alleys we have been too. We had the choice of bowling for 1 hour or 1.5 hours, and we chose 1.5 hours. The cost for 1.5 hours of bowling time and shoes for four was $91. Even with the business, they had balls available to use. We were able to bowl two full games to completion in this time. They have food and drinks for sale. My husband purchased a tall mango cart can for $5. They have a machine to purchase songs, so music is played in the building. We enjoyed our time!
