The location does not have the gravitational pull of Madison Square Garden, but once you get there, the building is excellent: modern, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. Newark Penn Station is only a short walk away, and NJ Transit is usually a very workable option from Manhattan. You do have to respect weekday commuter traffic, because Penn Station at rush hour can become overwhelming remarkably quickly. Bruce Springsteen gave me perhaps the most quintessential New Jersey experience I have ever had. I was gifted a ticket way up in the nosebleeds with an obstructed view literally behind the stage, and I could not have cared less once the show started. I am definitely a fan, and seeing this New Jersey legend perform in the motherland, surrounded by all that loyalty, pride, and unmistakable Jersey energy, was genuinely magical and inspiring. As a non native, that night brought me closer to a state that can sometimes be misunderstood or lazily judged from the outside, but whose identity and loyalty are a huge part of what makes New Jersey so charming to me. Nothing, however, compares with seeing the Rolling Stones here on back-to-back nights. The Stones are absolute royalty to me, and I spent several hundred dollars per ticket to see them twice, which probably says more than anything about how meaningful those shows were. Watching Mick Jagger command an arena with that level of charisma, physical energy, and presence was one of the great live entertainment experiences of my life. I felt genuinely blessed to be there. Unfortunately, the first Stones night became chaotic before we even left Manhattan. When we reached Penn Station, NJ Transit service toward Newark was already stopped because of an accident on the tracks, so we scrambled downtown and took the PATH instead. We missed the first song or 2, which was painful after spending that much on the tickets, but once we got inside, the stress disappeared. Thankfully, night 2 was far easier and gave me the chance to absorb the entire show from beginning to end. Hockey gives me another reason to have a soft spot for this building because I have always respected the Devils as a franchise. Scott Stevens, Martin Brodeur, Patrik Elias, Scott Niedermayer, Claude Lemieux (RIP), and Ken Daneyko are among the players I have revered over the years, along with Zach Parise, Scott Gomez, and Jason Arnott. That history gives attending a Devils game more meaning to me than simply dropping into another NHL arena. The sightlines are strong, the food is solid, and the crowd has a grounded local personality that fits the franchise perfectly. Operationally, Prudential Center gets a lot right. The building feels cared for, getting around inside is straightforward, and public transit is the obvious choice when service is behaving normally. A cab or Uber from Manhattan works too, although the tunnel costs and pricing premium show up immediately. The people and overall vibe also feel more down-to-earth, which I have always appreciated about coming here. Living in Philadelphia now has given me a wider appreciation for the outstanding collection of city arenas across New York, North Jersey, and Philadelphia. MSG, Barclays Center, Prudential Center, and Philadelphia's arena are all excellent in different ways, with access, pricing, and surrounding environment creating most of the separation between them, and I would love to experience UBS Arena someday too. Prudential Center has given me the Devils, an unforgettable night with The Boss, and 2 extraordinary nights with the Rolling Stones. I am deeply grateful that a building I once thought of primarily as the Devils' home became the setting for some of the most meaningful live music experiences of my life.

GRADUATION CEREMONY VENUE REVIEW:…read more With it being graduation season, this is a review of Prudential Center as a commencement ceremony venue. Because of preparations for FIFA World Cup 2026, many schools that would have held their graduation ceremonies at MetLife Stadium have changed locations this year. I attended a commencement at Prudential Center last week. Here are my pros, cons, and heads-ups for anyone going to 'The Rock' for a graduation ceremony for the first time. Pros: - it's an indoor arena, so inclement weather be damned - it's climate controlled, so take that summer heat and humidity! - high resolution projection screens; real-time video projection images are so sharp and clear - audio is great inside Prudential Center, so you can actually hear speakers clearly and graduates' name - comfortable seats imo - good concession stands - cute photo ops inside the arena Cons: - traffic getting into downtown Newark can be horrendous; that's just how it is so allot extra time for travel Heads-up: - If you are driving to Prudential Center, know you will be spending money to park if you want to be close to the venue. - Make sure to read Prudential Center's bag policy so you won't be stopped at security and told to use a locker if your bag is too big.

I went to the gift shop while waiting for the doors to open so the line had dissipated by the time I was done. Instead of going through the VIP entrance it made more sense to just use the main entrance as there were virtually no lines. Once through security check I went upstairs to the Chase lounge while we waited for the concert to start. MSG is an amazing venue. The energy inside is amazing to experience in person.

I was with my sister and nephew who both come here often so I had zero worries. We parked at a small lot which I think was under a bridge of sorts. It was fairly empty and cost less than parking at the stadium. The walk over was under 5 mins. Double score. The Red.Bulls ended up winning over Washington. It was a great game despite the sweltering heat. We were on the first row, to the side of the goalie, but on the opposite side of the home team where all the fun stuff was happening. I noticed during the halftime show that all the fun activities were happening on the other side. Leaving for us was a breeze since we weren't fighting all the other folks exiting. So many cars were honking at the folks cutting them off. The sun had just set as we walked out of the stadium. What a sight to behold. The only concern for me is that their food selection was limited.

Thank God I had no problem getting in but I wasn't in general admission . I had seats . I did wish later that I was in general admission for better views and experience . The stadium was clean and nice The reason for the 3 stars was that the parking situation and leaving was horrendous . I was stuck in the parking lot for over and hour trying to get out . Other than that area is congested so understandable that there was traffic but the parking lots by the stadium are so poorly managed . Parking lot was gravel/ rocks and areas with flood puddles . And One exit out ? Dangerous and horrendous . One of the reasons why I may never come back to this venue unless I figure out another way that is easier to park and leave . Again I came because of my favorite group was play in here and no where in the area this year.

How much better can it get?…read more When I travel during summer, I take in baseball games ... many of them of the Minor League or independent league variety. This team -- from the players to the ticket-takers -- doesn't disappoint. There's not a bad seat in the house, and the tickets are cheaper than a movie theater. There are plenty of picnic areas and umbrella tables along the concourse. No worries though, as you can still hear the umpire calling balls and strikes. I've had colder stadium beer and better ballpark hot dogs, but I certainly went back for seconds. Oh, and you're never more than 15-20 yards from a bathroom. Yogi Berra Stadium is the home of the New Jersey Jackals, a member of the CanAm (Canadian-American) independent league. The rosters of these teams are comprised mostly of players who are trying one last time to make it to the big leagues. Several players have made it as high as AA ball, but were released for one reason or another. In other words, the quality of baseball being played here is good ... I'd say between A and AA. If I lived around these parts, I'd be a Jackals regular for sure. For the people who do live within 20 minutes of this place (and there are many), oh how fortunate they are.

I purchased the tickets by clicking…read moreon the buy tickets button on the amphitheater site, and was redirected to Ticketmaster, and I purchased two tickets. On Ticketmaster it clearly states that cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. So I brought a camera with a non detachable lens. Security, after inspecting the camera, allowed me to enter with it. However in the venue, during the performance, a very polite usher told me the camera was not permitted. I showed him the website, and he contacted a supervisor at the venue. Later other employees of the venue who did not identify themselves rudely and forcefully told me I could not use the camera, and said that the Ticketmaster website is not connected to the venue ( obviously not true) . A deeper dive into the venue site reveals conflicting information. At one point it says. NO CAMERAS PERMITTED. In another spot it says that personal cameras are ok but professional equipment is not permitted and that cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. My camera did not have a detachable lens.. They wanted to take the camera away from me and check it somewhere, which I refused to allow. Well ultimately I agreed not to use the camera, and from that point forward I did not. But the experience was confusing and unpleasant. The website presents conflicting information. I would like to speak directly with someone at management level but no contact phone number is listed.
