This is such a nice place to study and get a great matcha! The place is well decorated and has plenty of tables - however it does get full quickly on weekends. We got today: Earl grey matcha - super flavorful matcha and lovely balance of flavor with the earl grey! Comes hot or iced! Basque cheesecake- creamy and light at the same time! The slice we got was huge too haha Will definitely be coming back here when we are in the area!

After trying Hinar at their first location I was excited to see they opened a secondary one in Poway! Similar ambience and decor which was nice, much more seating and parking! The matcha is always very good and I decided to add their seasonal pistachio cold foam which was a perfect addition!

Needed a spot to get some work done, so I went to Hinar. I grabbed my go-to drink, the iced earl grey matcha with Biscoff foam on top, and it was super delicious like always. We also got an iced americano and their basque cheesecake. Hinar has some of the best desserts too. Their basque cheesecake is so light, creamy, and delicious. If you're planning on doing work here, definitely try to grab a spot early because the tables fill up really fast.

Came here with friends recently after numerous recommendations from others. Inside was very clean and very pretty with many tables and even more people sitting and chatting or getting some work done. Many of the pastries were sold out already by the time I arrived in the late afternoon. I ordered the early grey matcha with earl grey foam. 5/5 I would order and get this again 100%! Highly recommend ordering this. Earl grey was foam was strong (in a good way) and the earl grey matcha was very flavorful. Definitely worth the extra $0.75 for the syrup and $0.75 for the foam. I also ordered the lemon poppy cake which was also really good (maybe was too sweet after a few bites but still delicious nonetheless). My friend got the sesame cake, but I wasn't a huge fan. Parking was easy and service was good. The items were expensive, but I would still return for the earl grey matcha! Overall, really enjoyed my visit, and I hope to be back soon.

Cute drinks and dessert options! Plenty of seating for studying, although seats do not free up easily so you might not find a seat after arriving

Hinar has to be one of the best cafes in SD! This is their second location in Scripps Ranch with the OG being in downtown. Love that this spot has a spacious parking lot and tons of seating options (although it does fill up fast!). This Kurdish owned gem is serving up killer sips and baked goods! Their matcha is super solid and they have an array of syrups and creams for an added touch. Of their baked goods, their cakes really stand out to me! The presentation is gorgeous and the flavors all taste real and genuine. My favorites are the Lemon Poppy Seed and White Chocolate Raspberry cakes! Perfect as a little snack or a celebratory gift.

First time trying after pinning it on my to visit list for months. The atmosphere is so cute and calm. Plenty of tables and many people enjoying their drinks and working. The dessert case was beautiful and inviting. The front barista area is a perfect sight upon walking in. Decor is serene and classy. I went with an earl grey matcha with strawberry puree and earl grey cold foam. The mixed berry custard dessert. Pricing was aligned with what you receive. I truly enjoyed it and would definitely come back for more dessert!

Hinar Dessert Bar in Scripps Ranch is absolutely adorable, but be prepared for some serious sticker shock. This place is pricey. A latte and three macarons ran me $18, which definitely made me pause. Once you get past the cost, though, it's hard not to appreciate the experience. The space is beautiful, the desserts are stunning, and the service really stands out. Staff were super attentive, and I was greeted right when I walked in, which always sets a good tone. I tried the Earl Grey, biscoff, and pistachio macarons, and they were genuinely delicious. Each flavor was distinct and well-balanced--not overly sweet, and you could actually taste what they were meant to be. The latte was also solid: light, smooth, and served in a nicely sized cup. Overall, it's a cute spot with high-quality desserts--just one you'll want to visit knowing it's more of a splurge.

Cute, quaint, reminiscent of Harlan + Holden in the Philippines! Also love finding a good quality matcha in SD--def recommend adding a cold foam on top. I haven't done work here yet, but I definitely would. Very good and calm vibes here.

Hinar in Poway is so cute and aesthetic inside, such a perfect spot for studying, getting some work done, or a casual coffee date. The space feels cozy but still modern, and I couldn't help noticing how pretty all the desserts and pastries looked on display. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk, vanilla syrup, and Biscoff foam, and it was honestly delicious. It's hard to find good matcha in this area, but this one really hit. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. I'll definitely be back for more matcha (and probably to try those pastries next time!).

Friday night at 8pm there were only 3 options for dessert and a some macaroons. Biscoff cheesecake - 4/5 delicious. However a huge serving. Strawberry cream - 4/5 Yummy however the internal feeling was a little bitter/sour. Overall the vibe of the place is nice for hanging out. Wish they had more dessert options available. Maybe the day we went the popular stuff sold out already.

I've gone to the downtown location before and it was difficult to find parking. But this place shares a giant lot with other places so there's plenty of parking spots. That is already a plus right there. Upon entering you feel an atmosphere of calmness (even though it was kind of loud from the chatter). But the way they decorated the place it feels a mix of industrial but also some nature earthy vibe and I dig it! Theres decent amount of seating but it was mainly taken. We lucked out that there was a table that was about to leave just when we put in our order. What did we order? Geebus it was hard to choose. I literally wanted one of everything in the case where theres rows of cakes, pastries, and macarons to choose from. We settled on some macarons (cookies and cream, lavender, and biscoff. Nice light shell on the outside with slight chew and filling not too sweet. Delicious and how I like my macarons to be. We also got the banana krokan cake. Very light and airy cake. The whipped mousse was light and not too sweet but creamy. Didn't know there was a surprise center with candied hazelnut pieces and fresh banana. And a dark caramel action going on I think that was with the cake. Everything balanced nicely together with the sweet, spongy, different textures to the cake. The crispy glazed nuts. The tropical feel of the banana. For our drinks we each got matcha latte. It doesn't come with sweetener so you can add a flavoring. I went with vanilla. And the seasonal foam they had going on was biscoff and it is DELICIOUS. Loved that the drink was not too sweet. Strong earthy matcha. Right amount of richness from the milk and the fluffy creaminess of the foam. My cousin got her's with pistachio foam and that light roasty creamy taste of the nut was BOMB! How was the service? Great! The two gentleman that helped us today were kind and inviting. Would I come back again? Yes! If I was in the area? Yes indeedy!

Parking: plaza parking so lots of space Inside: lots of seating but completely packed on the weekend whether people are studying or chatting with their friends. If you're here to study, make sure your devices are charged and there's free wifi The matcha lattes were pretty good. I got one with vanilla syrup and the other with earl grey foam. Both delicious

Their cakes may be pricey, but…read morein my opinion, for the amount of work, effort, and quality of ingredients, I think they continue to be fair. For example, some other specialty bakeries/shops are charging similar prices for cakes and cheesecakes that are much simpler. In comparison, Extraordinary Dessert cakes take 3-4 days to make, have 6-8 alternating layers, and are typically adorned with edible gold and/or flowers. The key is to find which items you like and which are okay to pass on next time. What we ried this time: -Match Misu Cake (7/10): ricotta cake layers soaked in matcha and layered with marscapone whipped cream. This one was pretty good and ranks in my middle to high range. I only wish there was more matcha flavor (maybe if you dine in and get the sauce, this would help) or the matcha was paired with another flavor ... either go fruity (maybe a raspberry sauce, strawberry pieces, white peach pieces, or like a peach oolong cream layer) or go chocolately/coffee (maybe had some crushed up chocolate covered espresso beans). My go to's: -Ivoire Royale (10/10) - my ultimate favorite still. If you like light desserts, white chocolate, berries, and moist vanilla cake, thus one is for you. Classy and unpretentious -Shangrila (10/10) - my other favorite and will make you feel like a princess with all the pink chocolate curls. A little bit adventurous and innocently elegant. Ones to skip: -Au Chocolate / La Bete Noire / Dame Chocolate - get the Viking instead. That's my favorite of all their chocolate cakes -Lemon ricotta - get the Passionfruit Ricotta instead -Torta misu - the matcha misu is better. The tortilla misuse made me want a regular piece of tirmaisu than a cake version -Coconut cream - not bad, not amazing though

Parking can be tricky downtown, and it can get busy with lines, but it's totally worth it for the drinks, desserts, and overall ambiance. FYI, they have a new location up north in Scrips Poway, it's cute but slightly different aesthetic (umm more industrial) and is in a strip mall, so, way more parking!
