Worst place to eat! Just ordered veg steamed momo to-go and they gave stale paneer Momos and was it was so thick and tasteless. Waste of money , don't visit this place . Wish I could give 0 stars read more

The veggie chilli momos were very good. Hot, tasty and momos were super soft and cooked to perfection, definitely coming back again.

I've been searching for healthier options so I decided to try this place. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a very sweet lady who welcomed me in. I decided to dine in as the place was very clean and inviting. Ordered the vegetable momo and curry salmon. The vegetable momo came with a light, creamy sauce which paired perfectly. The curry salmon was tender and melt in your mouth with just the right amount of spices in the sauce. It went well with their quinoa, but they also offer white and brown rice. The chef came out to check on how the food was and he was very friendly as well. I'm so glad I tried this place and I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! Treat yourself to some tasty and healthy options here. You won't regret it! read more

You have got to try out this hidden gem !!! I just discovered this place - I ordered the Tibetan Beef Shapta Chili and Vegan Mushroom and cauliflower Peas curry with a side of rice but the Chef gave me a complimentary Naan because he said Naan is better with curry( he was right !!!) They have quite a variety of dishes with shrimp ,chicken ,salmon added. What I also like was being given a choice of mild to medium to spicy seasoning. The proprietors are so friendly - Please come and support our local businesses. This is my 2nd time around within a week ! read more

We found good reviews and decided to have our lunch here. We ordered veggie fried rice and chicken noodle bowl. We asked for medium spiced and mild respectively and they provided us with flavorful food. Nothing fancy, but amazing food and chef personally comes to know if we need anything. Clean and tidy. read more

Chicken wings are not that great, they were chewy and the Himalayan spice seasoning was just like a tomato sauce and super over priced.

Seems to be a moment shop restaurant. Ordered take-out a couple of times during Covid. Excellent service. The food was really good. The cashier(seemed to be the owner's son) even provided directions to a nearby park when we said that our kid was hungry and wanted to eat the food. The owner gave is some free rice as well. On the whole, great food, friendly customer service. read more

Great food, great service, chef even came out to talk to us afterwards. Get the Mount Everest Chicken Curry!

Great portion for the food. Tastes very good. Stuff was very friendly. I support small hole-in-the-wall small businesses like these.

Today I had the chicken momo. It was great with a good sauce to dip the dumplings in. I may have to visit regularly and eat my way through the menu. So many good things to choose from. read more

They have good food . And I don't understand why Yelp wants me to write at least 85 characters. I just want to write a quick review and finish my food. read more

Moved to Newark recently so thought of giving this place a try. Really bad chicken momos. Don't waste your money.

Hope you are well, whomever is reading this! So glad Mr. Deepak offers Vegan plant based food here! It's hard to find good vegan food and glad I am very grateful it's nearby my work place in Newark! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a very nice young lady. Very attentive to my dietary request. I was hoping for a low carb vegan keto friendly meal and they recommended the vegan mushroom vegetable curry. And it was AMAZING!! Totally recommend this place! 11 out of 11 rating! Try and you will find out the magical wonders in his food! Thanks again!! See you soon again! Namaste, Michael Aura Tse read more

Great food and well priced. The momos are fantastic. Highly recommend. The staff are very nice and it has a real family vibe !

If you're stuck in this area of town during lunch, the food here is very good and an excellent value.

The food is great, I purchased the vegetable noodle with beef, shrimp fried rice, Momo chicken dumpling, Momo vegetable dumpling, garlic naan, and mango rice puddings. The beef in the noodle is stewed, so it's very tender and delicious to eat. The dumplings come with an orange sauce that I didn't care for (too salty), but they have enough flavor with it. They are also hand made, so the texture is better than restaurants that use premise wraps. All dishes are made with fresh vegetables which is great if you're looking for something on the healthy side. read more

Great food! Loved it and everyone was super nice and polite! I would highly recommend to others because I'm definitely coming here again next time. read more

Wow! Today was my first time ordering from here and I was blown away. I had the chicken momo and tofu salad bowl. Both tasted so delicious and for an affordable price. I just wish I had found this place earlier! Will definitely be eating here regularly moving forward. Also the lady who rang up my order was so sweet. Can't speak highly enough of my first experience at Himalayan Chef Kitchen. read more

I ordered tilapia fish curry and rice. The quality of fish was so bad I could not eat more than the initial bite I took. The quality of plain rice was also really shitty. Really disappointed. read more

Good north Indian and Nepalese food. Slightly pricey. The garlic naan looked like it was not fresh, but heated up frozen naan that you can buy in stores. Didn't taste green either. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars read more

The veg noodles and chili paneer was good. Tasted fresh and the sauce and noodles cooked perfectly. Veg Momos were okay. I was expecting the gobi manchurian to be fried and shaped into balls but they were just regular chopped cauliflower . Overall the gravies were appetizing , I would give it a 4 star rating read more

I placed a big order for pickup for a lunch at my workplace. Everything was amazing. The chilli plates, curry, momos, fried rice. Everyone was happy and satisfied with the portions and flavors (and spice level!). Also, they were super prompt in having everything cooked, packed, and ready to go for pickup. If I could give another star for punctuality, I would. read more

The food here was well seasoned and tasty! I got dal and my friend got noodles and they were both super good. The naan is a bit crunchy but had great flavor. Amazing and well marked vegan options. Would definitely go again next time I'm in the area. Excellent service as well! read more

I called to order food from this restaurant. When I called told refused to take my phone order and told me that I had to order pick up through DoorDash. They also did not offer levels of heat (spicy) of their food. My parents can not handle heat. They also gave me the wrong food order and did not complete my order. I would not recommend this place. First time at this restaurant, the food was delicious, very flavorful. I definitely will come back, the chicken tikki masala was on point.

A gem in Newark! This place is very reliable in terms of food quality and value for money. I find their food to be healthy and flavorful. My favorites are salmon curry and chicken momo--both very juicy . Deepak has been catering for my company for two years now. Quality of food and service never disappoint. The meals are always delivered delicious and freshly cooked. It's always a hit when he caters to my company. The meal plans for any dietary restrictions is definitely a plus. Amid Covid-19, this place has offered excellent food service using a user-friendly online ordering system. When order is picked up at the restaurant, they practice proper safety and precautionary guidelines. Go and check out this place! You won't regret it. read more
