I began working with Hima 7 months ago, exploring what I thought would be another failed treatment route for my severe daily migraines. I was very skeptical at the start because I've tried many things over time, tons and tons of different medications, infusions and Botox that ultimately just helped with managing my symptoms enough to just be functional. Thus, after even trying physical therapy, I decided to give Acupuncture a try and let me say that I am so, so incredibly glad that I did. I never thought I would be one of "those people" saying "this changed my life!" but here I am, and I do not exaggerate when I say that acupuncture with Hima absolutely has changed my life. I have been working with Snow for an hour, twice per week, over the last 7 months and I have seen huge improvements, not only with my insane migraines (from daily episodes down to 2 mild episodes p/week), but with my overall well-being and as an added bonus with my endometriosis as well. Important to note, that as with any non-invasive, holistic, natural treatment patience, time but above all CONSISTENCY has been key to my journey with acupuncture. I am also happy to report that working alongside my neurologist, we have even began reducing my medication intake and very soon I will only be using Botox and Hima to manage it all. I did a tele-health session with Snow for my fatigue and overall body and joint pain. I found her to be very nice and I felt comfortable around her. We talked about my stomach issues and my fatigue and body pain. She recommended some diet changes such as no cold foods, ice drinks and to eat more spices and garlic and ginger. I've been seeing Snow for ~8 months for chronic hives and I'm happy to say that now I'm pretty much healed! I've had a long, weird history with hives and was told by allergists that I basically had an incurable autoimmune condition and there was nothing I could do about it, except for take pills and/or get monthly injections to quell the hives. I wanted to cure the issue from the root and turned to acupuncture because I was so desperate for a long-term solution, and I was growing immunity to the pills I was taking. I had this issue taken care of a couple of years back from a different acupuncturist in another state and was hive-free for a year or so, but the issue slowly started to come back and that's when I sought out Snow. She totally understood my issues and listened to my entire health history. She's been giving me acupuncture & some cupping, as well as general advice to help calm my hives and overall have balanced health. After a couple of treatments things already improved, and it took several months to get to where I am now. It was amazing that Snow immediately understood how to treat me when so many other allergists/doctors didn't know what to do for me. It's been a slow process (hives and inflammation are tricky), but it's been 200% worth it and I'm so happy that my life is pretty much back to normal! I also have felt some tangential benefits like better digestion & bowel movements, and less swelling/bloating. Even though I'm healed and hive-free now, I will continue to see her every couple of months or so to just keep things in balance. She's also super sweet and made me feel so relaxed all the time! I began working with Hima Accupuncture in April 2023 to help improve my fertility. I had recently made the decision to freeze my eggs for peace of mind, but was instead left devastated by some early bloodwork results that indicated it would be difficult for me to have a successful cycle. Snow was so understanding throughout the whole process, which made me more optimistic that everything wasn't doom and gloom. I was blown away by how detailed her questions were during the intake process and throughout my appointments -- questions about my sleep patterns, menstrual cycle, etc. that other doctors hadn't thought to ask -- and it made me feel more confident that we were pinpointing the issue with every visit. After five months, I was able to successfully freeze 30 eggs across two cycles -- results I thought would take years to achieve, if ever.
