Hi, Can acupuncture help with adult acne, migraines, herniated discs?

Hello, great question. Acupuncture can be very helpful for all 3 of those concerns. Acupuncture treatments relax tension in the muscles, which can alleviate migraines and allow the spine to align and lengthen. Acupuncture also helps to balance… Read more

She was a great listener and adapted the exercises as time went by, always mindful of how I was feeling that week. All of my interactions with Spear staff (e.g., checking in at front desk, working with other providers in Fraidy's absence) were positive and professional. Highly recommend this practice to all and would return if needed!

I arrived at exactly 9:05 for my appointment today, paid my co-pay, and sat in the waiting area as instructed. After 15 minutes of sitting right in front of the desk, I received an automated email stating I was a "no-show." When I flagged this, the receptionist tried to claim I was "late" and that my therapist, Anushka, needed to reschedule me. This is completely false. I was on time and waiting in the lobby the entire time. To make matters worse, they then suggested I could still be seen 20 minutes into my time slot, which is totally unacceptable and unfair to any patient. I am 32 weeks pregnant and do not have the energy to deal with this kind of run-around. Between the clerical errors and the attempt to blame the patient for their own mistake, I will not be returning. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and expect basic professional courtesy.

I was very excited about getting my first injection as he seemed competent. Rare. What happened to me today felt more like assault. I have been assaulted before and I feel just as disembodied. I was told I would receive local anesthesia before my procedure and I did not. During the procedure Dr. Leftkowitz had a conversation with his pre-med assistant about where he might go for the summer. During this time he did not tell me when he would start and he did not apply local anesthesia. Did not say "little pinch" nor "big pinch" At one point I actually screamed "what the hell are you doing?!" And. When he was done he actually said see you're all better! I began seeing Dr. Taylor after about 6 months of chronic groin pain that had returned as a result of antibiotic use, prostatitis, and nerve strain. In addition, I had a locked-up sacrum and some spinal scoliosis. I had been to several urologists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and pain specialists. I had tried auto-immune diets, tricyclic antidepressants, steroidal pain blocks, etc. Over a few months, we reasoned through the groin pain, hatched several action plans, and in the process, made real progress against the pain, and definitely corrected some spinal alignment issues I'd had since childhood. There are so few doctors who practice Osteopathic Manipulation (OMM or OMT), especially in New York. When I was searching for DOs in New York who practice OMT, I went to many who either did not spend any time or effort in the session or had no idea what they were doing. Dr. Taylor upholds the incredible legacy of osteopathy by being perceptively hands-on, spending time with his patients, and refusing to rush judgements.
