She provides acupuncture for just about every ailment you can imagine: physical pain, preventive health stuff, energy, and so on. I love her office building--it's super cute and clean. I saw Sophie the day after one such migraine started. 30 minutes with needles in (they hardly even prick btw), and as I walked out I definitely felt like all the symptoms described above had been noticeably reduced. In short, thanks Sophie! And to fellow migraine sufferers, I'd recommend you try Sophie's treatment at least once to see if it can help you.

I began working with Hima 7 months ago, exploring what I thought would be another failed treatment…read moreroute for my severe daily migraines. I was very skeptical at the start because I've tried many things over time, tons and tons of different medications, infusions and Botox that ultimately just helped with managing my symptoms enough to just be functional. Thus, after even trying physical therapy, I decided to give Acupuncture a try and let me say that I am so, so incredibly glad that I did. I never thought I would be one of "those people" saying "this changed my life!" but here I am, and I do not exaggerate when I say that acupuncture with Hima absolutely has changed my life. I have been working with Snow for an hour, twice per week, over the last 7 months and I have seen huge improvements, not only with my insane migraines (from daily episodes down to 2 mild episodes p/week), but with my overall well-being and as an added bonus with my endometriosis as well. Important to note, that as with any non-invasive, holistic, natural treatment patience, time but above all CONSISTENCY has been key to my journey with acupuncture. I am also happy to report that working alongside my neurologist, we have even began reducing my medication intake and very soon I will only be using Botox and Hima to manage it all. I cannot recommend Snow enough, she is a true professional. She has excellent bedside manner, she is patient, kind and incredibly gifted at what she does. Hima has given me renewed hope for one day finally achieving and enjoying a migraine-free life. If you are looking or thinking of trying acupuncture for any ailments this is your sign and Hima is truly the best! Forever grateful to you Snow, you have indeed changed my life!

But I threw out my back & I've had it with the steroid injections & bs. So I spoiled myself. They just reopened on Willoughby in Bushwick and oh my lanta!!!! It's a much more intimate space than they had 10 years ago, when you go for the community option I think there's only three beds now. Not only does the bed heat up, but the wonderful Dr Patchi put a heating lamp on my back for my cramps. LUXURY I swear this was a spa like experience! Patchi is super warm & chill, and SO intuitive with her hands. She also used a tens unit which I completely love. She is so so so skilled, and that excellent skill is overshadowed in the best way by her warmth. When we were done I slowly sat up and stretched my back a bit, and felt pops where I've been really needing to feel pops! She also did some needling for an ankle I broke last year that I'm still healing, and I'm really impressed by how much that worked. Of course it isn't magic, I still have cramps and my back is still rough, but both are much much much more manageable after just one session. I was tipped off to a pay what you can day coming up soon, and I really really really appreciated that (& immediately booked a spot). Being broke sucks, this economy sucks, looking for a job sucks, and it sucks even more when you feel like you're being judged for not having much money (esp since Bushwick is turning snooty). That tip was such a compassionate move, and it's so kind that they're having to pay what you can day!!!
