NEEDLES FROM A GUY IN CHINATOWN Overall, I always felt relief after seeing him. Unfortunately, with my herniated disk, it was only short-term relief. This is my first acupuncture experience, but I did see Yaoshen Cai several times after. PRICE $80/session - CARDS ACCEPTED ACUPUNCTURE The first time he saw me, he missed the nerve behind my knee and it really shocked me, in both senses of the word. I saw him a few other times after that, and that never happened again, so it really was rare that he missed. He knows his points, in both senses of that word.. Ok I'll stop with the double meanings, lol. But ever since that first mishap, I never fully trusted him and was super antsy all the time, which stiffened my muscles, which made it very difficult to insert the needles, so I completely understand, it's not easy with fidgety customers! I FEEL A TINGLING There were many times where I felt a tingling and burning, that edged on the side of oddly neuro-uncomfortable. I'm not sure if that's usual with acupuncture, or if it's the qi realigning or whatnot, but it was there. CUPPING I loved the cupping at the end. It always felt great and increased more blood flow to the area, but I was burned a few times. DID IT WORK... I think it worked in the short-term, meaning for a few hours. It was always hard to tell because he immediately applies a numbing lotion post in the area where he does the acupuncture. PROFESSIONALISM He never pushed for me to come back, literally just says "have a good day." I respected that. But he's also crazy booked by hundreds of people, so not like he needs to try that hard. Also, everything is super clean and hygienic. HERBS He also is very knowledgeable about herbs. He is a vast array of herb information and can suggest something for your ailment based on Eastern Chinese medicine. I was able to purchase some Huang Qi (Astragalus) for like $2. OVERALL - 3.5 stars All in all, a good foray into acupuncture, and I'm glad I went several times and gave this a fair shot. Better to go to Yaoshen Cai who is vetted and who knows his stuff!

Upon my first appointment, I filled out a very long form (which I wish I had been told to show up early cause it was very extensive) and proceeded to the one of the therapy rooms. Upon entering, I was instructed to put on a Johnny (thus stripping down to my skivvies) and wait for the doctor. By the end of my first appointment, I had three doctors huddled over me trying to figure out what the best course of action was. Usually, I would say this is overwhelming, but I felt like I was involved in the decision making since it is my body and my chronic ailment is something I've been living with for years (epidermis related). Once the strategy was set, action was taken. From the moment I walked off the elevator, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the office. The incense and soothing music help to create the healing environment I so much need. Actually, the music was a surprise. I usually hate the style of smooth jazz/elevator music they have on. But, that should tell you how much I enjoy the care and results! Each appointment begins with a brief talk and current issues. Over two months of treatment, I have better control of my issue and have even solved other ones I didn't know I had. One in particular was a not in my neck. After complaining about forearm tightness, Dr Ming informed me that my neck was really tight. The next session, one of the male masseuses had me sit up and dug into my neck. The knot he pointed out was gone, crazy! I could rotate my head and a lot of the tightness everywhere was gone. What I learned then was you can always go deeper. Now, they are currently working on my back and shoulder (one of them I had an accident years ago with) and I can feel my alignment much better than ever. Can't wait to go back next week! And as a tip for budgeting. Check with your insurance. Usually you have to pay to get benefits. Go to the appointments! Maybe it will take you 10 appointments to have your insurance cover ten appointments? It's worth the money! IF your going to go out drinking for the price in NYC, you might as well do this weekly!

Over the past three months, my C5, C6, and C7 vertebrae have undergone remarkable healing and recovery. I'm truly grateful to say that surgery is no longer necessary. His exceptional skill, combined with his deeply compassionate approach, offers a truly holistic path to healing. However, successful recovery also requires your own commitment--having faith in the treatment process and partnering with Dr. Ye over time. I've seen people search widely for renowned doctors, only to try a session or two and give up, missing the deeper benefits of a sustained, cooperative treatment journey. Even the most skilled physician can only do so much if the patient is unwilling to trust and follow through, and in the end, it leads to wasted time, money, and possibly a delay in achieving true recovery. If you are in need of Dr. Ye's expertise, I wholeheartedly encourage you to reach out--and most importantly, to commit to a consistent course of treatment. With patience and dedication, I believe you too can experience full recovery and the joy of renewed health.

Traditional Chinese medicine is supposed to craft a recipe for each patient according to their symptoms. Apparently Dr. Chen has earned much profit from the general willingness to pay a high amount for treatment in Americans and deviated from the right mind of a medical practitioner. I find that he tends to adopt treatments methods that elongate the treatment process than ones that are most effective. (I switched to an online diagnosis with a doctor in China and the treatment cured my digestion issues within days and with really inexpensive medicine while Dr Chen would insist at least a 10 time session which amount to 1500 dollars.
