You did a great job working on my truck! He replaced all 4 of my oxygen sensors and informed me that the threads on one of them came out.

I took it to Capitol Hill Auto Service because I wanted someone to inspect the muffler and exhaust system before the problem became more expensive. The technician listened to the vehicle both at idle and while the engine was being revved and then inspected the exhaust underneath the car. They found that part of the exhaust system had deteriorated and was contributing to the noise. What I appreciated was that they explained exactly what was causing the sound rather than simply telling me that I needed a new exhaust. They went over the repair options with me and explained which portion of the system actually needed attention. That made a big difference because I was concerned I might be looking at a complete exhaust replacement. The work was completed professionally, and they checked the system again afterward to make sure there were no remaining leaks or abnormal noises. The difference was immediate. The excessive exhaust noise was gone, and the car sounded normal again when accelerating. I also felt better knowing the exhaust system had been properly inspected instead of just having the most obvious component replaced. I especially appreciated the straightforward communication. I've had experiences at other shops where an exhaust noise turns into a list of unrelated recommended repairs. Capitol Hill Auto Service stayed focused on the problem I brought the car in for and explained what they found. The shop also handles a broad range of maintenance and repair services, so it was convenient knowing I could have other issues checked at the same location if necessary. Their service list specifically includes mufflers and exhausts along with heating and cooling, steering and suspension, electrical problems, tires, brakes, transmissions, and drivelines. My exhaust is now quiet, the car drives normally, and I know exactly what was repaired. That's the kind of straightforward automotive service that earns a five-star review from me.

I initially thought it might just be an aging coolant issue, but I didn't want to keep driving it and risk turning a cooling-system problem into an engine problem. Their technicians inspected the heating and coolant system rather than simply topping off the reservoir and sending me home. They found that the coolant level was low and traced the issue to a leak that needed attention. They also checked the hoses and other components of the cooling system and explained what they found before doing the repair. I appreciated that because I wanted to understand why the temperature had been fluctuating instead of just being handed a repair bill. While they had the vehicle, they also checked the heater operation because I'd noticed that the cabin heat wasn't getting as warm as it normally did. The technician explained how the coolant system affects both engine temperature and the vehicle's heating system, which helped everything make much more sense. After the repair and coolant service, the temperature gauge stayed exactly where it should during both stop-and-go D.C. traffic and longer drives. The heater also returned to normal operation. I love that they didn't immediately recommend replacing expensive parts. They inspected the system, identified the actual problem, explained the repair, and then verified that everything was operating properly afterward. That's exactly the kind of approach I want from an auto repair shop. Plus, everyone was professional throughout the visit, and the technicians clearly knew what they were doing - very reassuring!

Cons They had my car for 24 hours and i had to call them to ask for updates. They gave me 8k estimate for a full scope of work that was needed. I declined all but what my car got towed for and 3 new tires. That total cost was $1500 When my car was ready they called me 15 mins before closing so i could not get my car until the following day. Would not have been an issue but they parked my car on the street where it received a ticket. When i mentioned the ticket they collected it and said they were going to pay it. A month goes by and the ticket has not been paid and it doubled. I didn't follow back up before the month went by because my dad passed 10 days later so it was not on my mind. When i called the shop to explain about the ticket they said they don't usually pay this kind of parking ticket. Lol after it doubled they conveniently do not pay this type. All of this could have been avoided had they looked at the ticket type and called me to notify me. They will never get anymore business from me. Sad because all they had to do was call the customer. Amended 5/6 The GM Mike called me to rectify the situation. He listened to me and apologized for the level of customer service I received. Being that this location is in DC and has a small lot they easily run into issues with ticketing. He made sure the ticket was paid within an hour of our call. I appreciate small businesses and ones that make it right with their customers.

I arrived the next day and it was barely any space for me to pull my car in , nobody was around to check me in , also nobody was working on any cars at the moment but had so many cars in the way... when i finally got the chance to talk to someone about checking in he kept telling me that they are busy .. so what was the point of me making an appointment???? Not worth waiting around for help when I had an appointment set.
