With out a doubt the best experience I have had with an auto repair shop ever! I purchased a classic Lincoln Mark V with very low original miles. it seemed to over heat and the a/c would blow cold when driving but warm up if I stopped at a light. I took the car in to Hilton (being new to the area I asked friends for recommendations). I told them what was going on and said that if it needed a new radiator I wanted the biggest , best I could get because I didn't want to have any trouble with it. after about an hour I got a call ...it was a bad radiator cap! they charged me for the cap and sent me on my way. I haven't had any issues with it since. My wife and I now take our cars there for all of our auto service. I was very satisfied with the service on my GMC Sierra. The wipers weren't working. Instead of installing a new wiper motor and pulse module which is expensive. Went to get squeeking throwout bearing replaced 19 year old vehicle and requested oem parts. 2000 dollars later and the squeeze still persist and now my trans is harder to shift cause they damaged the shifter links and now my engine clunks when placing it into gear and letting clutch out slowly things it didn't do prior to them working on it. Went once. Was told an oil change would cost about $32.00. I told him I was having trouble with my Actuator. Then he offered the synthetic oil change for $90.00. I told them "no." They wanted $360.00 to change the Actuator. I was charged for checking the Actuator. They told me what I already knew. I purch+ased the Actuator on line for $5.00 and had Meineke put it in for $61.00​​​. Also had Meineke change my oil for $32.00. Never went back to Hilton Automotive and NEVER will. read more

If I could give a zero I would, I checked my mothers oil after it was changed a year ago, now mind you she barely drives her car, no oil shown on the dip stick, I went to discuss this with him, and he said it was so clean I couldn't see it. He also told her she needed new tires, her tires are fine. I changed her oil and it only had 2 quarts in it. I went back to him and immediately, he became very aggressive, he told me he wanted to kick my f-Ing ass, my wife saw his aggression towards me so she came in a videoed what was happening, his employee called my wife a retard....and this guy is a representative for Pennzoil??? I called my old mechanic from up in Va, he knows my truck, he has been servicing it for the past 5 years, I explained what I was hearing & deciphered it was coming from the rear, but..... a long story shortened, heed this advice..... I was allowed into the garage to inspect for myself what the mechanic's appraisal was even allowed to inspect the entire undercarriage. My dinky car is in good shape, mechanically sound (for the moment ... haha!). The mechanics are the importance. My car has to run, be reliable and comfortable during the coming summer months in Florida. Mr. Hilton is a terrific man. They don't sell you anything not needed nor wanted. This place takes advantage of the senior community. My poor grandmother went in and got scammed by these jerks. They took an extra 5 hours to supposedly buy tires in Tampa for a vehicle with standard tires after being told it would take only 4 hours to have that done along with an oil change. When she requested to have the old tires put back and so she can just pay for the oil change and go elsewhere she was told no. When my mom went to find out what was going on he referenced a fake contract that he was never able to show and said F you to my mom and walked away after hiding in his office. This family owned company is full of it. Don't go there and give these rats your hard earned money. Better yet let's report them to the better business bureau if you've had an equally bad experience. They charged me too much, didn't fix it right and charged me for stuff I didn't need. Lied to me about the car being done and after I picked it up and called to see why they didn't fix it right and they tried to get me to bring it back in for more work right after they had it for 5 days and charged me almost $1700 and they had the nerve to ask for more. I recently had my starter go out on my vehicle and had it towed to Hilton automotive. I received a quote to replace the starter for $687. I felt this was exorbitant and called another automotive shop to get a quote ($330). I called Hilton back and told them not to do the work and plan to tow the vehicle to another garage on the other side of town. The person I spoke with at Hilton started to knock the competition until I said that was unacceptable. He refused to allow me to pay for the tow over the phone by credit card. I got a ride and paid him for the tow and diagnostic. The next day I checked with the other shop to make sure they had possession of the vehicle and found out that Hilton had delivered my vehicle but badgered the other garage owner for undercutting him. I would rate my experience lower than one if I could. read more

I took my truck to these people with the complaint of the engine revving when I pushed the clutch pedal down and the inability to shift gears normally. Diagnosis was I needed a new clutch, possibly a fly wheel, [which surprise surprise I needed] all told, over 1100.00 dollars later, after trying to sell me another 200 dollars worth of alleged repairs, I got my truck back. 5 days later, engine began to revving up again, intermittently. I took the truck back to them and basically was rudely informed that my engine is running like garbage and it's not an issue with the clutch that they replaced. My initial complaint was this symptom of revving and the inability to shift they charged me $1,100 to repair this issue but yet its not. Save yourself money time aggravation never take a vehicle to these people they are very dishonest in my opinion! read more

I am from Wilmington, Delaware and noticed that my breaks were making some high pitch noise when I reached Ocala. I went to Hilton Automotive because my mother uses them as her car mechanic. As it turns out they told me I needed all new breaks. I have a local mechanic in Wilmington, DE that I use regularly. After telephoning my mechanic in Delaware she mentioned that it might be possible due to all the snow that we've had this winter that I would need new breaks after my road trip to Ocala. After spending $400 on all new breaks, I drove home to Wilmington, DE. As it turns out the installation of my breaks was horrible. They did not turn my routers and my routers were making noise. I feel strongly that I was taken advantage of considering they would never see me again. I also feel that if they took advantage of me, chances are they are taking advantage of my 80+ year old mother. It's not likely I would ever use this mechanic again nor will my mom. read more
