After a terrible decision of drinking and driving my truck was towed to this establishment. I have been a local in this town for 17 years where I was a fire fighter. I met my ex-wife here and we have two beautiful girls together and besides the fact of making a terrible decision that's the only legal trouble I've ever been in my life. After the unfortunate incident I was having trouble getting caught up so I remained in constant communication with the establishment letting him know that I was working on payment. When I finally got the money I went in there with cash in hand to pay it and I was told that the bank came and picked up the truck and they do not have it anymore. I was obviously heartbroken and asked him if there's anything he could do and he said no. Six months later I found out that the bank did not take the truck and the owner of the establishment is now driving it. And yes I still owe the bank for the truck and that's every single penny. It hit not only my credit but a very good friend of mine that was nice enough to cosign for me. He is the lowest of the low and took advantage of me in a time of need and I highly suggest that no one ever uses the service. read more

Slid my car off the road in Tabernash after a long 20 drive from Pasadena California due to Southwest cancelling all flights . Dumb mistake on my part but being really tired and close to my resort didn't help. Devil's Thumb resort helped me get Hilly's to pull me out and get back to my room. Very professional and he knew what he was doing on how to get me out. As the saying goes, he was my best friend for an hour or so but I hope I never see him again. read more

Professional, he kept me updated on his drive progress so I could meet him at the vehicle without having to wait outside too long. We are from California. My car broke down while on Vacation in Colorado. AAA was not responding for over 4 hours. Hilly was a SUPER NICE guy and knew his stuff. I called for a tow a couple of weeks ago and they were very responsive and professional. This would have been a 5-star review if it weren't for the fact they charged $300 for a 16.2 mile tow. I think that's ridiculous. read more

These guys are awesome. I have used Hilly's several times over the last 10 or so years...usually for stupid stuff like locking my keys in my car at Spring Splash (2 years in a row) but this time I threw them a whammy and got my Jeep stuck on a snowmobile trail (for the record, they should clarify the "above snow vehicles" terminology on the signage) Anyways, Colin was amazing. Super easy to work with from the start - he was text-friendly and instructed me how to send a location pin. When we hooked up (no pun intended) the next day to get my Jeep out, he was prompt and KILLED it with the tow truck. As in driving backwards up a snowmobile trail for a mile to pull out a very, very stuck Jeep. He absolutely could have told me no way when he saw where I was stuck, but he didn't and I really appreciate it. Thanks a ton for the professionalism and help to Collin at Hilly's for bailing me out of a very difficult situation. My vehicle was stranded on the side of Hwy 40 with low visibility, no shoulder, and a severe drop-off to the passenger side. I called Hilly's for assistance and Collin was there within minutes. Collin demonstrated a great deal of empathy in dealing with my circumstance and went above and beyond to do whatever he could to help me out. After dropping the vehicle at their shop he even gave me a ride home given I had no vehicle. The owner of Hilly's Hooker Service (really poor name of a business) broke my diesel when he forced it to start after a couple of days in below zero weather. Yes, the truck was plugged in the entire time. He sprayed ether into the air box and cracked a piston when he forced it to start. He was taken to Grand County Court in 2011 and was found negligent and liable for damages. Don't use this repair shop for tows or any automotive repair. They are careless and the worst at their jobs. There are other places you can get a tow or auto repair from. Don't trust Hilly's. read more
