Very nice people! We loved our stay here. Great family place or for traveling short term workers. Busy on the weekends. RV spots are concrete and pretty level for the middle rows. The spots are a less level staying on the far right side of park but manageable. The area is hilly in general. They have a trail about 1 mile down to the lake. Kayaks available for rent. Laundry room and ice/wood available as well. Office is always nice and consistent. Game room and bounce house for kids upstairs. The dog park was very small maybe .2 acre but they do have the trail that we enjoyed walking. read more

We are currently here, staff are absolutely fantastic. There is no pool here but you are right on the lake down by the cabins, we're in a rv so I can't speak on the cabins. Not any mature trees in the rv area but this park is fairly new, the dump site as you exit is on a incline so I would be concerned about getting my tanks empty but we're on a full hookup site. If I had young children with me not sure how much they would like being here as roads are narrow but paved, they do have stuff for kids and a fenced dog park, they have one of those huge air bags kids jump on which seems to be quite popular. All in all it's a clean and quiet park with friendly staff. No discounts as in veteran/aarp/aaa etc and again rv sites only shade you get is from your awning as trees need to mature a bit but we've been quite content here, no seasonal sites up all night partying. Here visiting family and we will stay here again when we return but again we're just two older adults who want a peaceful site without confusion. read more

Updated review. We went back in October to give them another chance. They definitely made some improvements. They added stone along the parking pads to make it easier to get into the sites. They also added some gravel around the fire pits so it's not muddy. And this time we had kids with us, so we checked out the game room and it was very nice. It had a few video games, ping pong, and cornhole. And the staff is super nice. They definitely still have some more work to do, but they are making progress. Just be sure to book the premium sites since they are flatter. read more

My family and I just finished a 7 night stay here and it was absolutely wonderful. The cabin was clean and fully stocked so we were able to cook our meals easily. The location is great and has a beautiful field of wildflowers behind the cabin. The campground was very clean and well maintained. There were lots of things for my kids to do and overall it was a very relaxing place and I highly recommend! read more

First, let me say the workcampers tried very hard and were very kind. We rented a log cabin. Advertised with TV and internet. Neither worked. Not helpful when you are in a new area and need to do research. Further, there was no hot water in the shower, although there was in the taps. Lastly, the refrigerator was so loud (it was in a cubby) that the walls literally vibrated when it ran. Not good sleeping conditions. We were extremely disappointed and left before our reservation expired. read more

Brand new, first full season and great location for nature exploring in the area. Travis, groundskeeper, is very friendly and helpful. Bring shade as there is full sun on most/all sites. The angle of the sites makes it challenging to get into and out of sites. Small roads. Campground not set up for small children yet as the grass isn't established and there are ground settling issues with uneven ground. Paved sites but a lot of landscaping yet to be completed. Great accommodations. Clean in a natural setting. So thankful for the air conditioning units in main room and separate units in the bedrooms. Easy access to unit and designated parking. Even though an incident took place that could have had a horrible outcome , giving 5 stars because the situation could have happened anywhere there are jerk people. Our plead to other dog owners - there's a reason for the Ohio law to keep dog on leash or confined. During daylight in evening while walking with my four year old granddaughter and dog with leash tightly using both hands we were ambushed by an aggressive German Shepherd - we walking on the main gravel roadway. Its family was on the deck to back of their unit ...it must have smelled us coming up the hill, blitzed from there to attack us. I screamed- unseen person whistled for German Shepherd to come back ...I yelled out about leash laws and how my granddaughter could have been injured- the family laughed. Their unit was on the opposite side of our door wedged at an angle. We learned to survey situation before I walked out with our dog and or four year old child that were victimized by the German Shepherd that was still allowed to roam free next day - saw the owner with dog beside him looking very smug toward any of us. We think the German Shepherd was wondering around our cars same night in the dark - we did not sleep well, left the next afternoon forfeiting our final night to stay already paid. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! We traveled 4 hours from Michigan on Memorial Day weekend and were promised over the phone that our tipis would include beds to sleep up to a small family, electricity, a grill, and many more amenities. We showed up and discovered a soaking wet tipi and with two single cots and a gallon bucket inside...that's it. It would have been impossible for us to even stay in them due to the rain and horrible conditions. Due to it being the holiday weekend on a Friday night we had no where to go. Don't waste your money! Keep in mind this is a brand new campground and the staff is working diligently to finish and make updates based on feedback from customers. We were scheduled in the week of 4th of July and had problems with our trailer on the way there. The team there was extremely helpful, they helped us into a cabin instead and our vacation was still a huge success. They treated all of my family members like their own family and the hospitality was the best. The campsites are nice, good spacing between each and the premium patio sites have nice furniture and a fire pit The cabins are awesome, big, fully stocked and the house keeping team are happy to help with any concerns. The bathrooms are clean and convenient to the camping sites also. The location is awesome, convenient to Logan and stores but only 15 minutes to Hocking Hill state park. Worse place ever stayed. Sites are a mud pit they give you straw to keep you out of mud. Electric failed. Sites are to narrow cant get into with out running off the road in to the mud. Nothing complete. Manager sympathetic but workers the worse argumentative. We drove 4.5 hrs. just to turn around and go back after getting covered in mud. Do not go here. Demanded a refund will see if I get my $427.00 back. UPDATE - This facility continues to deny their responsibilities regarding maintenance, service and false advertising on their website. They do not return my calls and sent me a notice recognizing me leaving but calling it a cancelation by me. This notice also states all normal cancelation policies apply. They are trying to get away with out giving me a full refund. As a license Building Official in the State of Mi I want to point out that despite this owners claim found under Traci Wright review. I checked and tested the power at both site # 4 and #5 . One leg of the 50amp service was not working also ground and bonding issues exist. This condition is a life safety issue that could seriously hurt someone or as what has happened to me caused damage to my campers leveling system. I just left my dealer after driving all night back home then another 4hrs round trip. this morning across Mi to Grand Rapids to take to dealer. It was found that due to they shorting issue and lack of a consistent ground at this location my self leveling controller has been damaged at a cost of $1500 it will need to be replaced and reprogramed. It will be 2 weeks before I get my trailer back.. I am going to notify the local building authority of this life safety issue and check if this facility ever applied for, received and had inspected this campground. I will also check with the zoning authority and planning commission to see if they have received approval for this site and what conditions were put in place. Once again I would not recommend this facility it had a great opportunity to be a nice place but greed and lack of knowledge of the camping industry has turn this place into a hell hole. One last point as my son was leaving last night he stopped at the dump station to rinse mud off of camper himself when he turned on the water at the single service station the valve burst and blew water all over him soaking him to the skin. Beware UPDATE: In response to your reply It was not my Wife you spoke with but my Daughter in Law I was on site 4 my son and daughter in-law on site 5. I ARRIVED A DAY AFTER THEM. Right now they are at another campground no electrical issues as soon as they hooked up last night. So how could it be their trailer as you allege? My trailer is in the dealership being repaired because of the electrical short and lack of proper grounding at your facility . We never had the opportunity to set up your electrical system fried my leveling computer. As stated I tested it myself I am fully qualified to do so I am a Building official in Mi. You had power on only one leg of the 50amp service and intermittent grounding. If you willingly take people's money and offer a service and something goes wrong caused by your equipment and service you need to own it not blame others. As stated I will be contacting the local building authority and filling a complaint meanwhile Myself and my son expect full refunds. New and UNEXPERIENCED campground provided the worst camping experience ever! Paid almost $400 to stay at this private/full hookup campsite just to have our site be completely filled with water and mud. Maintenance promised they would come over and pump the water out of our site, and never did. The power went out on our site because the box was not bonded and grounded properly. We had power the first night, but once the sites started flooding, the power was gone. Apparently, they don't know how 3 phase power works and just kept replacing breakers and then telling us "the light came on so it must be working". Instead they offered us an extension cord to plug into my in-laws outlet with their 50 Amp and our 50 Amp campers to be plugged into! Our power cord is only a year old and our camper is a 2018. We just camped in Traverse City last weekend and it was fine. No one is available to answer the phone, or provide us with answer as to when we can get the power fixed by an actual electrician at our site! We were all stuck inside with no power, including my in-laws who decided to pack up and leave 2 hours after arriving because they were up to their calves in mud. The water hose to clean out your tanks is also broken. My husband was going to rinse the mud off of his sandals before getting back into the truck, turned the water on, and got sprayed from the waist down! We were able to find a WAY BETTER campground about an hour away to accommodate us for memorial weekend, and guess what?! Power and camper work great!! FYI... the manager of hilltop, Jennifer, told me the owners did everything to the campground in a rush to be open for memorial weekend. Believe me, it shows. read more

This is a newly developed campground located in the hills of Hocking Hills. Beautiful scenic views from the top of the hill. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have beautiful cabins and plenty of them, tepees that sit right on top of the hill, and yurts with a tranquil view into the woods of Hocking Hills. Their RV sites don't offer much shade but they are planting trees to help with that. The staff is working hard to get this campground to full potential. Definitely check it out. I didn't get any pics of our site, just a video and it won't let me post it. I recommend staying in a yurt! read more
