What originally stood out to me about the owner's ad was his profile picture, which is a military picture of him. As a Veteran, I contacted his company because I like to support my Veteran community and know that service (and former) members hold themselves to high standards. During his interview, he was explaining to me that he goes above the requirements needed to maintain his contractor's license. He also told me his son who works for him does not know much about construction & cuts corners but, assured me that he does not allow him to cut corners on his watch. Despite him telling me that about his son, I hired him anyway because I trusted he maintained those high military standards. BREACH OF CONTRACT. I hired the company to frame/install 3 windows into walls w/non-existing windows. Upon "completion", I paid the remaining balance. Immediately after paying him, I asked for a receipt & to sign the certificate of completion as stated on his contract I signed. I was told no and did not & will not provide me with a receipt stating I have paid the balance in full. I contacted him asking for a receipt and he refuses to acknowledge my request. CONSTRUCTION CODE VIOLATION/POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP. After installing 3 of 3 windows, I noticed there was not weather proofing barrier installed between any of the wood/window frames. I asked the owner how he was going to seal it & he said he was going to use caulking. I then witness the son beginning to stucco the edges of the window pane w/out weather proofing. I asked him if he needed to put some type of material between the wood and window frames and he said no. After they left, I inspected the windows and saw the son did a subpar job with stuccoing and was uneasy about missing weather proofing. I texted both questioning how they plan on sealing the windows, w/complaints & concerns on cosmetics of the stucco. The son told me it is not a new construction so it does not need moister barrier. The owner told me he would explain the process to me on 7/16/23. I voiced my concern, again, about the quality of the son's work & about the lack of moister barrier. Upon completion, I inspected their work. The stucco looked awful. Instead of them cleaning the window pane & making it presentable/professional the owner told me how to clean the excess stucco off. After they left, I proceeded to clean the stucco off the edges of the window pane when a piece of stucco fell off. After further inspection, I found there was no moister barrier or any type of sealant between the wood/window frames. NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR. Immediately after discovering missing barrier and sealant I contacted the company to provided them the opportunity to come fix their work. I was told the son would come on Tuesday but I did not want him to come and fix the issues, since I have voiced several concerns about his work & had concerns about him working alone due to his limited construction knowledge. I requested the owner come to fix the craftmanship & was told he would only come out if I paid an $80 trip charge; which by the way was never mentioned prior to this interaction. My home is currently being exposed to the elements and the extreme heat is pouring into the house. The owner states he's been doing window framing/insulation for 20 years but that doesn't mean it's been quality or correct.

The things we wanted fix were to re hang a few doors, tighten up a few faucet handles, install a Wine Fridge to our island and a pull out garbage tray in same island. We also had a landing that had a riser added to it causing one step to be two inches. We asked can you take this out and retile the Floor. Darrel stated these were all easy things to do and he and his son could take care of it. Although while discussing the work he started to tell us how un reliable his son was and that should have been the first red flag. So they were supposed to show up on a Wednesday but about 20min before they were to arrive my wife got a text saying that he had to help his son get ready for his Final test for HVAC certification and that they would be out the following day. Second Red Flag! So Darrel, his son and nephew arrived the next day and proceeded to get items, they seemed to bounce around on different projects, the demo on the stairs did get done first then it was off to other projects. They did not finish the first day and after they left, we noticed that there was a mess left everywhere they had worked, it was like they didnt care they left a mess. I was always taught, when working at a customers property, leave it better then you found it, apparently these guys never learned that. Friday came with them back on time bouncing in-between projects. Darrel worked on the install for the wine fridge and pull out while his son Brandon worked on the landing. At one point Brandon had to go to Home Depot for something and was gone for well over two hours to which we heard Darrel complaining about it. It looked as if nothing had been done to the landing. I noticed that the landing between the stairs seemed to flex in the middle of it and we made mention to Darrel about it. I was worried that with the flex that the tiles would pop or break. Darrel said it will be fine, he is a big guy and you wont have any issues. His son finely returned and started cutting and laying the tiles. He got everything laid down with a this set and then told us not to walk on it for at least a day. We said are you kidding? All the bedrooms are upstairs, he then said well you can walk on it. Once again I voiced my concern about the give in the floor and was told once the thin set is dried, it will be solid. Also once again they left a mess in the house. Saturday came and Darrel said they were almost finished, just had to do the grout work and finish the slide out for the trash can. Well it took all morning for them to complete the grout and when they were done around 1:30 they were ready to get paid and leave. We paid them and they almost ran out the door. What we then found was trash left behind from the flooring and just a general mess where they were. Now we also had another contractor here doing a build out on a wall, those guys were a night and day difference as they had paper rolled out for the floor and plastic up to cut down on the mess and cleaned up nightly. Well Sunday afternoon as I went waking up the stairs, as soon as I stepped on the landing, I heard a loud Pop sound and froze, knowing I poped a tile. I looked around and nothing else happened until later Sunday night as I was going up to bed, I stepped in another place other then where I stepped earlier, and heard another loud Pop on a different tile! And now the landing feels mushy and I can tell that three tiles are giving way, caused by the floor flexing under weight. I totally regret hiring these guys, while Darrel was nice, his craftsman work and sub standard work has made me second guess my decision and we will not be going back to them to fix our issues, which they should which they should be doing. Edit, so in the light of day, the tiles did not pop, they actually cracked, and the poor quality of work is making me ill looking at it. Update, now 6 tiles have cracked and we found a leak on one of the facets in the bathroom they "fixed"

I contacted with Integrity Renovation to remodel my bathroom. They were to have bath completed…read morewithin 45 days or less. It took them 6 months to complete the job. Dan the owner of the company refused to call me back when I would call to check status of bath. Dan repeatedly lied to me and when the bathroom was completed, it was not what I contacted for. Undermounted sinks instead of vessel sink that I paid for. The fixtures were the cheapest on the market and finishes were of poor quality. I contacted the Arizona Registrar of Contractor and I was informed that integrity Renovation has no licence. If you are considering integrity Renovation please run the other way. They are liars and cheats.

The big ones were too busy; the small ones had no idea how to repair it. All were in agreement over one thing: I had a mess on my hands that would be very expensive to fix. In desperation, I found Greenwood Contracting on Google. Rocky looked at the job and gave me an estimate that was substantial, but reasonable. He told me it would be a 4 day job. At the end of the first day, he called me and said they would be done at noon the next day. He charged me - wait for it! - a mere 30% of the original bid. Yes, you read that right. He charged me LESS than his bid! (No, I have never had that happen before!) A buyer appeared. The condo flew through inspection and is now sold. Since that time, I have had Greenwood Contracting do a number of repairs on my new house. They have all been done beautifully. The projects are always completed on time. And the guys have all been great to have around. Greenwood Contracting is the best. PS. Hire them fast. I am now dreaming of a kitchen remodel....)
