Everything was flavorful, fresh and even the pieces of carrot were cut into cute shapes. I would have expected much higher prices for the level of sophistication in these dishes. For dessert we enjoyed a beautifully-cut selection of fresh fruit. As they are a new restaurant they are taking suggestions to add to their menu, so we suggested ice cream in Coconut and Mango as a nice accompaniment. The service was excellent, the young waitress was cheerful and knowledgeable and told us the middle-aged couple who prepared and brought the food were the owners. It's nice to see a family working so well together. I learned that although this restaurant was new, the owners had many years of experience in the restaurant industry, which certainly showed. This is the kind of place we need to support, a well-run local establishment that takes pride in a job well done. I spent about $45 and had leftovers to take home, which were still fresh when I ate them the next day. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Their beef ramen is Top Ramen quality, better than I could do at home. But, way off the mark for real ramen. The California roll and shrimp rolls were okay. It isn't like high quality ingredients need to go into a California or shrimp roll. On a positive note, I didn't get sick after eating the Alaska roll which came with smoked salmon. Other than the ramen, it's an okay place for the foods I tried. It might be safe for me to say, I'm not going back to Edo in Red Deer.
