She answered all of our menu questions, offered suggestions, and was incredibly attentive. Our food was delicious, high quality and tasted as if it had come from a high end restaurant. We had an array of dishes from beef teriyaki to hanakatsuonami. The portions were huge, the prices reasonable, and the presentation was phenomenal. The teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken were brought out on cast iron skillter with wooden trivets. The food was perfect, not greasy or oily, and had remarkable flavour depths. Everything was so tasty and there were some unique spins on things such as the seaweed salad had masago (flying fish eggs) on top and was mixed with lettuce (which I wasn't a fan of the lettuce and would have preferred more seaweed instead). We loved the so much about this place, especially that it is family run. My kids loved the "Boxer" punch machine too, what a fun addition.

THIS IS PURELY ABOUT VINTAGE #2 KITCHEN SIDE AND NOT THE TAP HOUSE SIDE!…read more If I could give it 0 stars I would, for attitude alone. I have eaten here many times, it was our favourite restaurant and we were dining here on average once a week. After today, we have no interest in going back. We understand it is open to families, and children will play when they get restless. The staff on hand did nothing when two children spent 30 minutes: -shrieking at the top of their lungs, piercing and painfully loud -bouncing off the walls and waiting area chairs -grabbing and shaking the pictures on the walls But instead, scolded us for speaking up and suggesting the children should be taken outside to work off their energy. It may be a private space, but being open to the public means it should be a place with an atmosphere conducive to all patrons, not favouring one over the comfort of everyone else in earshot. We are all for family environments, but when every other patron in the restaurant is wincing and covering their ears from the sound, it is too loud. The biggest problem, and the reason we won't go back, was that at the end of our meal, one of the staff (we assume the manager) came over and chastised us for speaking up where they wouldn't. The staff did nothing when the parents threatened us for making a comment after waiting very patiently for them to parent their children. Instead, she told us we had to go sit on the tap house side if we had a problem with the screaming. She said 'we' made the parents uncomfortable by speaking up (after patiently waiting 30 minutes for someone to settle the children down as a courtesy to everyone else there). She ignored our side, insisting we could not be physically pained by the shrieking from the benches in the waiting area beside us, and said we were not being hurt by it. If that is the attitude of the staff at this restaurant, there are other places in town we can eat that have fantastic food and will treat everyone that dines there with more respect and courtesy than we experienced at Vintage Kitchen today.

They have some options that aren't traditionally Vietnamese, but don't hate them for diversifying and trying to appeal to a larger audience. They had some dim sum offerings and a few dishes one might say is Chinese. Most memorable was their honey garlic crispy chicken wings - they were hot and crispy as promised, and low key would give Korean fried chicken a run for their money. I don't recall much about their pho, but as someone who has pho at least once a week, it takes a lot for pho to be memorable so take it as a solid contender at this place! Definitely worth stopping at when you're in Drumheller; I'm definitely coming back!
