Our last stop in Alberta was visiting the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. I searched Chinese restaurants nearby on Yelp and Yang's Hot Pot was in the list. I would give it a try though there was no reviews on this restaurant. I tried to manage my expectations about the food and the service. Surprisingly, they are amazing! We ordered both Hot Pot and Dim Sum. Yumi! The service was great. The restaurant was opened this February. I can tell they are not good at promotions because customers could not get enough information from the Yelp page. I am happy to be the first customer to write a review here for them. They deserve a five-start review. This restaurant will become one of the fondest memories of our trip in Alberta in 2022.

Went here for Fathers Day. They had a buffet and you could order off the menu. We asked for salt and pepper sqid. Seemed simple enough. After waiting 25 mins a young girl came out of the kitchen and asked if we minded waiting another 20 mins for the sqid!? No explanation at all...but we were very polite and we weren't in a hurry so we said sure ok. It finally came out and right away we knew something was wrong. (We eat s & p squid a lot in Calgary). It was really orange and soggy. But we tried a piece and within a second our mouths were on fire there was so much chili sauce on it!? I've never had sqid like this ever! It would have been more simple to just put a note on the menu so people know it's spicy.... It was not good. (At $18 it should be excellent). So we asked our waitress (Penny was lovely, and running her butt off alone) to let the cook know that we just couldn't eat it as it was ridiculously spicy. So she went to talk to him and he came out of the kitchen and started yelling at us in front of everyone! "That's how it's made in China, you don't come in and order and send back!" We were stunned and embarrassed. He went back to the kitchen and kept yelling at the staff! So unprofessional! Apparently "Tony" and his wife and daughter are new owners but he is completely out of touch with what "customer service is". We felt so bad for the waitress!
