I've been to them in LA, Greenwich, NYC, Charleston, Palm Beach and elsewhere...but no chicago. Back in March we were shopping our way thru LA when I asked the sales associate the very same question and she said "well you're in luck because I hear one is opening up in Wilmette this year?" I figured she must be confused since there was nowhere in Wilmette that made sense to put a Love Shack Fancy, but she was correct. About a month later I heard that they would be turning Wilmette's Plaza de Lago into a shoppers paradise, which included Love Shack Fancy! There's so many amazing stores going into Plaza de Lago, but all my 14 year out cares about is Love Shack Fancy and she's been eagerly awaiting opening day. When we heard September 19th was the big day she suggested we camp out the night before. Um, no. I did offer to take her to their opening during her school at school, but then we scored an invite to their VIP grand opening the evening before...I told her to invite a few friends and let's shop! I think the girls spent more time making tiktoks and taking pics than shopping, but my wallet was OK with that. However, we did spend a lot of time admiring all the frilly adorable clothes...and purchased a few things. i liked that they had a few Chicago items for sale such as bracelets and a sweatshirt to make it special/different from over LSF stores. All the sales associates there couldn't be more friendly whether they were visiting from other stores (we saw a few that helped us in Greenwich during our last visit!) or will be working there full-time (shout out to Carly who was very friendly to my daughter and her friends). Everyone in the store, whether they worked there or visiting, was dressed to impress in LSF and while i usually find it to be a younger brand definitely found myself admiring some things for myself. I have a feeling we'll be back a lot, although i think my 14 year old is going to need a job with this just 15 minutes from our house!

They're always on the lookout to ensure we have everything we need, checking sizes and inventory to see if there's anything we might want that they can order for us. We're so glad we're there shopping. The only negative thing I have to say about the store is the customers. It's frustrating when people come in, try on clothes regardless if their size is available, just to post on their social media accounts. Being clear they have no intention of buying anything. We had to wait half an hour for a dressing room because someone was on a live. Completely understand. Social media king, it's just a little frustrating. When you're actually a customer trying to buy. That's not on the store. That's not on the staff. That is strictly on the customers. But highly recommend the store and the sales staff, and the merchandise. Absolutely beautiful.

I've been too lazy to seek this stuff out at a location near where I live, but I digress. All World Markets inspire me and I was glad to peruse this one. The clothes I picked up are super cute and fit kinda well now but will fit very well in a couple months. Lots of parking since it's in the middle of the Village Crossing shopping center. It's on the side near Michaels and Jewel. If you use curbside, they have a couple of dedicated parking spots for you.

Colston arriving late was out of there control but what wasn't out of their control was how they handled the crowd and the lack of accountability in making us wait, wait without any updates. The line went sideways when Colston was interviewed by Tom Waddle because everyone got out of line so those that got there earlier had people who were in back go in front. Nothing was done about this when it brought up to one of the people running the event (dark haired brunette). This is the same person that seemed to speak differently to people of color vs. caucasian people. Needless to say, there should've had a event staff run this event because it was clear, whoever ran this had little to no experience the crowd size of 200+. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth as I shared with folks ahead of tonights event at LifeTime Fitness about this event featuring performance apparel. Throughout high school, I spent SO much time at the location on the other side of the mall by Nordstrom's and was heartbroken when I was told they were closing only for them to reopen across from Cheesecake Factory. Then I was told they were relocating again and I'm actually loving this new location. I do wish they had a cafe in the bookstore but there are so many nearby coffee shops in the mall that it doesn't make much sense. But they didn't have very many spaces for folks to sit and read and enjoy like they used to but in return, I think the layout is set up with more intention and more eye appealing. The staff has always been incredibly friendly in locating books and making suggestions. Pro tip is to get the membership because it basically pays for itself if you buy even 5 books during the year.

It closed down for a bit but was revived in a location right across Cheesecake factory. It is now located next to Anthropology. The store is so inviting and the service is amazing! The workers cater to your needs and are so friendly. They really have a passion for books. The selection of books is not as large as it once was but it is supplemented by their online catalog. From the value perspective, you can find online outlets with a more price competitive offering BUT there is no replacement for browsing the aisles and loojo g through the books and selection of titles for an intriguing options to read. Crew, where I shop a lot of the time. However, I didn't think the sales were that great (not when J Crew had a 50 percent off sale) and unfortunately a lot of the sizes were very very tiny. Which made me feel bad. Mostly because I couldn't see the prices on the tiny tiny tags with their tiny tiny print and then I realized that the sizes were inside on the label. They magically appeared when I needed them, and let me do my own thing when I just wanted to browse. They also didn't bat an eye when I wanted to try on 20 things, and hung everything so nicely in the fitting room for me. I always feel guilty when someone gushes "I loooove that on you it fits you PERFECTLY!!!" and then I don't want it. So I really liked the freedom they gave me at Madewell even though there weren't that many people in the store. They also have amazing sales! Sometimes they have an additional 40% off sale, where you can snag deals like jeans for $40 and tee shirts for $15. I find that their in-store sales are much cheaper than online. I like to price check when i get home, and sometimes the things i bought at a major discount are full price online (which, of course, makes me feel smug and pleased with myself). Their stuff is such good quality and is so comfortable. Their jeans feel like jeggings but are actually jeans. Also, for petite ladies like myself, their ankle jeans are a great length.
