Got two drinks for myself and my husband. We had 2 taro smoothies with strawberry jelly. The milk tea was delicious, but the jelly was bland. I think the strawberry flavor was absorbed by the milk tea, so once we got to the jelly it was flavorless. Otherwise the service was great and quick! I'm not partial to Boba (I prefer all their other toppings) but this was just hard in the middle, not chewy like other places. I think if they can improve on this, they would be rated better. When you're expecting a soft mush for pudding and get a jelly, kind of changes the experience. They should just call it jelly. Jellies are yummy and fresh made everyday. Great new boba spot that opened up in a plaza close to the Moreno Valley Mall. The owner is very friendly and social. We had the dragon fruit milk tea and panda leafs milk tea with white boba, both of which were sweet and refreshing. Inside, they also sell various back to school items. There is a giant picture of their logo on the wall where people can pose for pictures on their Facebook and Instagram page. The guy did not seem to enjoy working there or having a boba business. He just had such an odd presence to new customers. I am definitely not returning nor recommending to others. This boba shop looked confusing. I thought the establishment appeared more like a random convenient store that sold odd items which also happened to sell boba. There were no seating areas so you cannot relax and have some boba. HiHi Tea House is not exactly the kind of experience you would expect from a boba shop. The only decent thing about this place is being open until 3am. The management, however, should rethink their hours and maybe make better use of their time to fix up the place and make it look more pleasing and welcoming. Does not taste like there is any tea in it but it has a heavy amount of milk. Also the caramel syrup is too strong and sweet. It also has this weird aftertaste but I just can't pinpoint what it is. The boba: the boba does not taste fresh and the texture doesn't seem fresh either. Also there's no flavor in the boba. I do understand that not all boba taste sweet, but overall it just seemed stale. The egg pudding: it's not an egg pudding. It's more like egg jelly. Overall not enjoyable. I felt like I wasted my money.
