We are from Big island and We recently bought this tow truck 2 days ago from this company. Drove it off the lot to take it to young brothers today. I stoped at my uncle house for him to follow me to young brothers and take me back to airport. I turned the truck off and it never started up again. I called the company and told him I'm not from here and I need help and maybe if u folks can tow this to a mechanic shop to get it looked at. Their response was "try this, try that, maybe gotta do this, yea check the starter was kinda already going out". OKAY, nothing is working. The dad says, sorry bra, I've been there, I'll pray for you! I asked if I can get a tow. He said I don't have anyone avail. If I sold a truck to someone, the right thing to do is MAKE IT RIGHT. Help another brada out, but instead they left me hanging. I know there are many negative feedback about Response Parking Management company. I believe this management is hired by local stores, and these local stores are the ones causing issues for tourists in Hawaii. I understand that having your vehicle towed sucks, but the people from Response Parking Management are just doing their job. I would blame the local stores. A guy named Austin from RESPONSE was nice enough to release my vehicle for free and explained how parking regulations work in Hawaii. I would choose RESPONSE if I ever need to tow my vehicle . read more

My small boat trailer blew the axle this morning. I was stuck on the side of the road at 5:30AM on a Sunday and went through 8 different companies. One said they would get back to me and left me hanging for 2 hours. One said they could come but the charge was really high. These guys gave me INSTANT help by phone. Arrived SUPER fast. And got me home for the best price. Also navigated our very tricky driveway so quickly and unloaded in no time. I wish I had called these guys first! Will definitely use again. Stop with the fake 5 star reviews. This company is disgusting along with the owner! Don't Let them fool you! The owner lies about his name and who he is. I have Him on camera tampering with the guest parking list. He himself signed in as a guest. First guest he wrote was named Austin. And the second guest he signed in as Dallas. He isn't too bright cuz when I called the number he said their phones are answered through a call Center in Dallas. When I asked his name he said it was Austin. What a joke! It's all family Members with the 5 star Review! Their crook's and have nothing better to do then pick on honest hard working people! Karma will come to them. A truly predatory tow company. Sure if you call them for a tow they'll help you out. But why not go to other more reputable tow company's that actually work hard for an honest living? Instead the owner Alex has contracts with McDonald's and Walgreens to basically tow your car at will. If you see "Highway Response" or "Response Parking Management" as the tow company of the business you're about to visit. Okay - nobody likes to get their car towed from a parking spot ... but easy answer is - park where you are supposed to park. When someone parks in an assigned spot not assigned to them ... they are trespassing. When someone is parked in a business parking lot but not doing business there ... this is stealing my potential revenue. So --- park there and get towed by Highway Response Towing and Parking Management. These guys are legit. They have the contracts with the City and County to pull wrecks off the Highway and they are trusted far and wide. I know the owners (names omitted here) and they are very diligent and courteous. I have seen their procedure to go in and check to see if the owners of the vehicle are in the stores/bathrooms/smoke-pad/everywhere before towing. They are a family run business and they have a lot in a neighborhood bringing jobs to that distressed neighborhood. These guys are legit and do amazing work. I have also called them when my trucks have had problems all over the island. If they cannot send one of their trucks right away - - - they will call their network of tow truck companies and get you taken care of right away. They are amazing. read more

Their white truck followed me into the McDoanlds parking lot & in the 20 minutes I was inside McDoanld's they towed me. While I was on the phone with the towing company I watched their orange truck pull in and hook up/tow a car that people had gotten out of 5 min earlier. They ended up towing three more cars in the space of 40ish minutes, within minutes of people parking. I watched one lady park & walk inside McDonalds & told the truck driver so- I HAVE IT ON VIDEO. When I told the Highway Response Tow driver that the car's driver was indeed legally parked as she was inside McDonalds he told me I was wrong, that he had checked. I said "what if she's in the bathroom?!" He said he checked the bathrooms... such a liar! She came out & was able to prove with her receipt that she HAD been inside the restaurant, so they let her car go. Shady, unethical business. read more

Had to take my car to my mechanics shop for a repair and needed a flat bed tow truck to take it! I was referred to them by Kanani of Hi Performance Towing! Austin was professional and called in advance of his arrival and arrived earlier than he anticipated. Very shady organization. They monitor the McDonald's parking lot in Kale'iwa and tow anyone if they don't answer a call for their car even if you are in the bathroom. We ate at McD, left to walk town for fifteen and our car was gone. They store the towed cars in the owner's yard and then demand a $190 fee claiming that patrons are trespassing even though you eat in McDonalds. The McD monitor guy who works with Highway Response started yelling at patrons in the parking lot and then Highway Response drove away with another car in tow. Don't use these guys. read more

Hallelujah! Saved by Highway Response! I broke down at the worst spot on a bad corner around Heartbreak Hill near Kualoa Ranch out in the straight boonies on a late Saturday night. Pretty much ironically the sketchiest spot possible. I was by myself in my work van in the pouring down rain, called Highway Response and they answered first ring. Alex answered and said "drop a pin" and they'd be at my location asap with about an hour or so ETA. I was so relieved they could make it that soon since I was in the middle of nowhere! I waited, watched an episode of Mandalorian to calm me down and get my mind of the situation. AND BOOM!! Just like that! These guys were there in less than an hour!!!! THANK THE HEAVENS!! They rolled up, got my van hooked up in less than a few minutes and I was safely rolling back home! Not only did they arrive prompt with friendly customer service, but they had a very comfortable and spacious rear cab for me to sit as well as a furry friend to cheer me up on the way back! Full on scammers. They target unsuspecting tourists in Haleiwa McDonalds. My friends from Japan we're eating there within 20 min, a guy came in showed then some photos of some cars, then they towed their rental car. They called me to help them out, while I'm in McDonalds talking to management, they go ahead and tow my car too. We then go to Wahiawa to get the car, it's in a residential house with no signs, just a metal fence. Total scammers trying to get money from tourists with a language barrier. read more

Professional and friendly customer service. Austin arrived within an hour and explained everything as he connected my battery-dead Prius to the tow truck. I rode in the air conditioned truck cab for the tow. Austin was also skilled at maneuvering my car into my very steep driveway at home. The tow rate was reasonable. I highly recommend their service and even put their information in my contacts in my phone. I hope I won't need another tow, but if I do I'll call Highway Response Towing first. read more

These people are thieves. They prey on tourists in rental cars, clearly. Not a nice welcome to Oahu and sincerely disappointing. We were towed from a lot in the middle of a bunch of touristy shops. We walked around, shopped, ate. Only 25 minutes and the car was gone. There was a sign that was NOT noticeable that said you have to be a customer at the "north shore surf shop." I WAS! I bought a shirt there. Had to pay for a taxi to go to the "tow lot". Some lot. It was somebody's HOUSE with a gated driveway and a couple of (in my opinion, STOLEN) rental cars there. $175 to get the car back. A child was the "employee". He must've been 13 years old. He refused to bring out a manager and called the police when we said we felt this was an illegal tow. He didn't care that we had a receipt from the store the sign said we had to be a customer at. It was pouring rain and I had to get my kids from the sitter, so they got away with their dirty game and pocketed $175. I won't be going back to this area of Hawaii. I feel like I was SCAMMED by the store owners, the taxis, and the tow company. None of them should be allowing this. Another couple who didn't speak English was also towed. Just have to say thanks to the guys at Highway Response . I just arrived at the Hilton Hotel here in Waikiki and being super jet lagged locked my keys in the rental car . It was right in front of the Hotel , totally blocking traffic and running . They got out here super fast , and that guy unlocked the car just about as fast as using a key . I was amazed at the method he used . Totally recommend their services . Quick and efficient ! read more

Ales and Austin are ultra-responsive and get the job done QUICKLY and PROPERLY. It's often difficult to decide which towing company to use when you're in a bind, but take it from me, avoid the hassle and just call these guys. They definitely know what they are doing and will get you to a safe location or to a repair center in no time flat. Look, if you call these guys up and want them to provide service, then I am sure they are great. They want your money. If you are parked in a place marked with unclear signage and your car is marked as a rental, these guys are pariahs and shamefully sketchy. We rescued a tourist from another country, who couldn't call the company and was forced to use the business North Shore Trading Co. employee's personal phone number. The guy did not answer his phone but did send a TEXT (good thing the call came from a cell phone I guess) with a single address 850 Whitmore Avenue. No description- and believe me, after picking up this poor family now stranded in the middle of a closing down tourist town, YOU WILL NEED ONE. The place he directed us to go to was a locked gate with signage about an agricultural company. My guess is, they hope the poor schmuck getting towed gives up trying to find the place and the tow guy gets and extra $25 bucks for storing the vehicle an extra day. Anyway, the final bill for that poor tourist was $180. This means the pariah company charged this guy $75 plus $25 for a couple hours "storage", plus $7.50 x 9.2 miles= $169 and my guess is they round it up to the next big even tens digit to top of insult to injury. I will be contacting the attorney generals office of Hawaii and making a formal complaint. The signage was non existent, it is obvious they seek out vulnerable tourist vehicles as there were several cars parked in the same place and none of them got towed even thought the place was supposedly marked as "no parking"- (the jury is still out on that- the signage presented only suggests one small space as "no parking" leaving the unaware to interpret it as being no parking between two sets of stacked tires) , the communication was unprofessional and the billing seems to be padded a bit. I was ashamed of the whole situation for the poor family and if we had not been around they would have been in a pretty sticky situation. Shame on this company! Being a tourist, yes your not always taking note of small signs! Having said that we were still patrons of the company San Lorenzo in Haleiwa , used their parking lot went to an adjacent store, came back and car gone! $175 plus uber ride! This is a very aggressive company for picking cars and as the owner Al said "not quick enough!" Beware! Predatory! Al also said they do things"perfectly!"
