Several years ago, we brought out damaged boat to Annie. The work that was done here was…read moreunbelievably and shockingly poor. New parts were repeatedly damaged during installation with no effort to rectify the method or damage being caused, the paint job was like nothing we have ever seen with overspray, bubbling, drip marks, cracking, and did not match. I would have never believed someone could present work that looked so poor until it happened to me. I don't know how she can maintain a business after this. I love supporting local business, but be advised, do not go here. I saw her earlier reviews and talked to her and thought I found a kind, honest, and reputable woman to work on my boat. If she was ever any of those things, she isn't anymore.

Hey Andy, my name is David Jayne and I'm a small business owner in Memphis. I own Madison…read moreAutomotive which is a very reputable automotive shop. Anyway my family and I are avid water skiers and we had a small accident in our boat on Memorial Day. After a little research I brought it to a local business called Bass Aniies boat repair. I felt fairly comfortable with the her and her business after dropping the boat off. She said it would be no problem having the boat repaired before July 4 for the holliday weekend. We waited 9 weeks for just the estimate on the repairs which was obviously way past her promised date of completion and was aprox $9800. I felt that that was extremely high but the insurance co approved and I felt like they knew what they were doing. One week into the repairs she contacted my insurance co to find out where the insurance check was which they informed her that I had received it. She then contacted me and told me to bring her the check. I informed her that I would not be able to pay for the repairs until she had completed them which is standard practice for body shops. This created a major argument and she then demanded a $2500 deposit to continue the repairs. This was not exactly possible since the check was made out for the full amount of repairs and it was also made out to me and her business so we were un able to cash it. I explained this to her and also explained that if I paid her a deposit that when I picked up our boat she would have to pay me the deposit back due to the check being for the full amount of the repairs. This obviously made no since but she still demanded the deposit. I no longer felt comfortable with the situation so I brought a certified experienced fiberglass body man with me to her business to check out the condition of our boat. After arguing with her for sometime she finally let us inspect the boat. The repairs were sub par and she would not explain to us at what stage it was in the repair and how she was going to complete the repair. The body expert said that there was no more than $3500 worth of repairs and that she was over double charging. I asked her what we owed her at that point and that we wanted to pay for what was done and we were going to remove the boat from her property. She got was very upset but when I started taking pictures of my boat she got irate and forcefully removed us from the building at gun point. The police were called and they were unable to do anything for either party due to it being a civil matter. After waiting for over an hour for the bill she said that we owed $9500 to pick up the boat. I will be retaining an attorney tomorrow and have a letter sent by courier to her by late afternoon.
