From the moment she became the manager, she has been attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring about the residents and the condition of the property. One thing that really stood out to me was her helping me get new wood flooring for my apartment. She didn't just brush off my concerns--she actually listened, followed through, and made sure something was done. Now the trash bends are over ran, the water pressure does not work affectively. The bugs are taking over. The homeless people no fault of their own are camping out in the parking structures. Complaints go unresolved. Repairs are not completed in a timely manner, if completed or even addressed at all. People should be able to live in a safe, clean and calm environment. read more

I have referred several people to this company because of my past experience. The manager, Brandy, is wonderful! She is very efficient and capable. Very well liked and courteous in every interaction I have seen. With a high volume business, maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. This is a copy of my exit letter regarding a property on Mountain View This is addressed to the highest management levels at Hightower Properties Managment, I have requested the name and number of my apartment manager Rhoda's supervisor or manager ever since I have moved into your apartment at 650 N Mountain View Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92401 in June of 2023. She has refused to provide any name or contact information every time. I asked I guess she did not want anything reported above her. It is my hope that this exit letter will some how reach someone of authority that might care what a poor work she does in terms of everything related to her job. This experience of living here these last eight months has been nothing short of horrendous. It started out with a filthy place rented to me on day one. I will include some photos. The apartment was riddled with cockroaches and black ants. There was no stove, no garbage disposal, both facets leaked, a terrible shower head, no shower curtain or even a rod to hang one on, no toilet paper holder, and paint covering windows, door knobs, and tape left all over the walls that had been painted over. Now I realize that not everything listed here are requirements by law to be provided, but basic things that most apartments would come standard with were not to be found. There was no air conditioning unit that was promised. The tub would not drain and the toilet ran continuously and when it would clog up the apartment would become flooded. I requested repairs on these items imeaditly especially on the ore serious issues, but I was ignored for weeks then moths. Finally Rhoda told me that a repair would show up at my place between 8am and 5pm one Monday. I stayed home from work and waited that entire day. No one ever showed up. This happened on three different occasions. Over one holiday weekend I could not get to an open bank to get the required casher's check or money order. I asked for one extra day as a one time exception due to my mistake in not planning better given the holiday schedule. I had never once been late before or after but I was charged a $75 fee. Ok my mistake but sometimes a little goodwill can go a long way. One time I asked Rhoda why it was taking months to repair an urgent issue like my plumbing. Her reply was that there are 200 other peopler tenants that also need serving. I said I only care about my needs and that your company should hire enough repair people to meet your tenants reasonable needs. The recycle trash been had been apparently used as a trash can by some tenants and was full of moldy trash it had not been emptied in serval months. There were now even more bugs and rodents invading the apartments located at 650 N Mountain View Ave. When I asked Rhoda for help getting this garbage picked up she would only reply saying that she was aware of the issue. I placed a complaint with the BBA, only to be yelled at and also texted by Rhoda that I was out of line for complaining. The trash was finally removed shortly there after. I began to hear animals living in the walls and ceilings in my apartment. Rhoda said that she didn't know how to address this issue. I said hire an exterminator. That never happened. The people directly above my unit would make extremely loud noises at all hours. Like elephants stomping. I asked Rhoda to please address this. She would not. This apartment is like a slum lord's place, I would like to think that this issue was isolated to just this unit, but after reading so many complaints on line, it appears to be consistent with many of your manage properties. I am giving my 30 day notice and have zero confidencethat I will be treated fairly in terms of my deposit so please take my final month's rent from that. Enclosed please find my keys, photos and many sharp objects that I have picked up in your driveway, minus five of which punctured on brand Corvette C8's tires. Sincerely read more

Also i have tried to have a conversation with her, and she smells like alcohol. We have no lights on at night in the front or back of the bldg. She sucks! She has no P. R. Skills whatsoever. I doubt she even has her license for such position. I, from experience as a property manager know that you are not supposed to treat your tenants the way she did. She broke into my apartment, yes my name is not on the lease but my ex bf tried to add me countless times and no one cared until the rent was late, due to the fact that my ex bf abused me and I he is now detained. I have a d.v advocate who assured me of my rights, I shower Ms. Palomino prior to the non stop harassment, I obtained the documents needed to ensure my safety and so that the management can have it on file, well ms. Palomino took it along herself to snag my papers out of my hands she then rushed me into my apartment, I was able to shut the door and she then broke in with a hammer that was on my porch from that day of bringing my stuff from storage. Basically the worse management in San Bernardino. I do not feel safe what so ever, and I'm working on my relocation with the San Bernardino county sheriff's department.
