Well it's no longer a Citgo. I was blocked in for 20 minutes a few days ago By Truckers that pulled in fueled up then went inside ordered their lunch hung out and chew the fat with the employees that do not care to ask the drivers to please move their vehicles from the pumps so other vehicles can get fuel or be able to leave. And don't dare say anything to them about it because you will get an attitude back and the drivers think because they have to keep a log and are under DOT restrictions that it's okay to act this way. I drive past this station every day and rarely stop because there's no way to get in the parking lot. The food is mediocre you get a better quality of food at 7:11 Going 8 Miles up the road to Taneytown or down to Woodsboro is a better bet then dealing with this station. Believe me they could care less about you they have their regulars and that's all they care about.

Why did I think that taking nothing but non-highway roads all the way home to Pennsylvania would be…read morea good idea. When driving from the DMV it feels like the right thing to do to avoid all those highway backups, but in reality, it's not good for your bladder. I was nearing bursting on a stretch of road and was ready to pull over at the first gas station that I saw. At that point, I had no idea where I was or how far I had gotten. I had tuned out the GPS because my eyes were glued to the road to find a bathroom. I finally came out of a tree lined stretch of road and saw the illumination of a gas station. Wawa. Not necessarily my first choice, but I was happy to see the awning once around the trees. Pulled in, parked, nearly ran inside straight to the restroom. Now the one thing that all Wawas seem to lack is their cleanliness of their facilities. I don't know what people do, or don't do, in these restrooms, but they look like the ones you would find in a horror movie. Ones where they have been trashed beyond comprehension. Like how is it that the walls have paint rubbed off of it. All you need is flickering lights and you're set to be the next victim in the upcoming Wawa horror movie. Listen, even though the facilities were not presentable, I still needed to use them. All that horror makeup of the facilities faded away as my bladder returned to E. Outside the facilities, this isn't a bad Wawa. They still do have a lot to offer. I'm still not happy with their food, but I do like the swift convenience offered at the counter. Grab a drink, go to the counter, ask for an item and I was outside. With a lot of my car rides back home I always need to stretch my legs before I get back in the car. I was able to take in a phone call at the same time. While outside, I noticed that this place wasn't very busy this time of day, very early in the morning. If only that could be the case all the time.

Mostly stocked with gourmet snacks and light lunches, there is also a to-go / delivery ($3 charge) menu to order different courses from the Presidents Sports Bar attached to the Renaissance Hotel. It's well stocked with random items like homemade cookies and box cookies to house salads and sandwiches ( and even cold desserts like tiramisu and mini bananas fosters. There is a candy bucket tree with single candies in the clear buckets. They have a small coffee bar with carafe coffee and teas. You can also buy fruit individually and croissants. They have a freezer stocked with gelato cups, ice cream bars, etc. The items are reasonably priced, but certain bagged items like those same cookies ( Mexican hot chocolate) that they sell at Dolcezza can run up to $6. It's definitely a must try for the late afternoon or late night snacker. They are open until Midnight.

Talking to the friendly clerk, it sounded like the market gets quite busy during lunch time. I didn't try any of the food, but it looked pretty good. They also carry some local chocolates - I did try the wine truffles which the clerk recommended. They were $6 for four individually wrapped treats. The truffles satisfied my craving for sweets perfectly and I thought were reasonably priced. I would come back here if I were looking for a convenient snack and it were too miserable too go outside. The service was good here, but I'm taking off a star because the prices are not clearly marked and I had to ask about quite a few items.

We even got up to request drinks since our waitress would not come to us. They have a mix of food. But the tortilla soup is tomato base out of can with 2 bread crumbs. Hello it tortilla soup, horrible made my stomach hurt. Brosellel sprouts were not that great, I guest stream cook with balsamic dressing, ah no. The sandwich was alright, stick with that. They brought us the wrong food. I ask for a cup to put my coffee in but lady pretended to be busy with the other employees and never brought it. At some point we were the only ones there and none of the 5 waitresses would approach us even though we signaled for service. Am in the area several times a year and this the first time I experienced this, it was very obvious. I always search for local business to support in the area, this will not be one. I leave it to interpretation. They took my original post off.
