The staff is so friendly- they make me feel welcomed and warm. The food is solid, using locally sourced ice cream and local bread from Bolivar Bread just up the street.

Kyra took our order and answered my questions about the place, the name, etc. She was very helpful and welcoming Danny made our drinks with excellent crema on the espresso and art on the lattes! All the latte flavors are made locally so they are much better than typical bottled flavorings. I asked about the name of the shop since it's so unique. Kyra explained that nearby Harper's Ferry is the midpoint of the Appalachian Trail! They also stock local veggies, cheese, meat and more. They support the "slow food" movement which is the opposite of fast food! So, the name is related to the trail and their pashion for local, fresh and healthy. The custom blend of coffee, roasted by Red Rooster, is excellent, medium, rich and complex without being overbearing. It's not fruity but instead just a good solid coffee taste. The beans are sourced from Brazil. The shop is huge, spotless and well decorated. There is plenty of room to sit or stand at the coffee bar and enjoy! Life is good with local coffee, local produce, local meat and local cheese!

The converted church space gives it real character, and the atmosphere is warm without trying too hard. The staff were friendly, quick to engage, and kept things moving even with a steady crowd. Bonus: live local musicians doing a pick up session! Food and coffee both landed well. Vegetarian friendly, fresh, balanced, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of spot where you can settle in for a quiet hour, meet someone for a casual lunch, or for C&O cyclists, refuel with a solid drink and good service.

What a lovely spot! I follow someone on Instagram who lives in Brunswick and has posted about this…read morespot before, so when I saw a sign for Brunswick while driving to Harpers Ferry, I KNEW I had to see Beans in the Belfry for myself... and I'm so glad I did. This spot is located in the "city center" of Brunswick. Parking is plentiful, and I got a spot a block up. I had a schedule to keep, so I just got an iced coffee to go, but I loved taking in the decor of the place. It was a sunny day and the light was streaming through the stained glass windows. There is a food menu and some baked goods, though I didn't get anything to eat. There are also cute little stickers, magnets, keychains etc. advertising the area and the C&O towpath that a lot of bikers like to ride. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be a regular place to meet up with friends. It's a really unique spot!
