I visited here after H Mart shopping. I was always searching for Korean liquor but it was hard to get it nearby Frederick areas. But this liquor shop has a great selection of all asian liquors; Soju, Rice wine (Makgullee), and Korean beers. I saw many Japaness beers and sour craft beers too. If you are a Soju lover, must visit here! A lot of different flavors and bulk also available with reasonable prices. I got few bottles and they offered me free glasses! I got 4 soju shot glasses and 2 rice wine bowls. Very excited to try all! I will definitely visit here again and am very happy to have this store in Frederick. I don't have to drive to all the way to VA to get Korean liquor anymore, yay! read more

This will be my new spot to purchase liquor and beer! I've been living in an area where fresh craft beer is not available--this place has some AND the brands I've wanted to try (Duclaw, Lagunitas, Rogue). The staff, Steve, Alex & Anthony, told me they had a good turnover and recommended some aged brews. They're now on the top of my 'try' luxury list. As with beer, there's a decent selection of liquor. The staff have their specialties, and based on their own experience and local preference, Steve & Anthony were able to make some good recommendations--both from a quality and price standpoint. :) I am eager to try some of their suggestions and will be really thrilled if I find they know what they're talking about! Good selection, reasonable prices, helpful staff, lacking some items I was looking for, but I plan to return. read more

This place would be a solid 4-4.5...unfortunately the Proprietor has a personality rating of ZERO in my opinion. He mean mugs obviously a considerable amount of his customers which over the years has annoyed me enough to make me not even bother going over there to purchase products. They carry a nice selection of Korean Sojus and Makgeolli which I happen to enjoy. These spirits are hard to find in other liquor and/ or wine stores here in Frederick. His variety of inventory would give them a good solid rating, but who the heck wants to do business with someone who appears to not want to look at you much less do business with you. The owners attitude towards his clientele is so ridiculously off putting that he obviously is doing just fine with the loss of profit he loses from his perch. I've shopped from this store for many many years, probably even before he took ownership, but I just get tired of going over there and spending my money while the guy behind the register is blatantly rude, never speaks, never thanks you, glares at people in contempt and my feeling is he'd rather not do business with me. Unfortunately, he's not shaking anyone with the contempt, just sending potential loyal customers out of the area. I will say I've NEVER been given free shot glasses, mugs or anything by buying Soju or Makegeolii, go figure! I may stop in only if I'm at H Mart, but I no longer deliberately make a trip there. Not only was this the only place I could find my favorite wine, their beer selection is pretty good. This has prompted us to consistently drive past 3-4 other package stores to get to Westridge Liquors. I'm not really sure what else to say about this place. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something specific or something new. Their prices seem to be good too but I have only purchased 2 brands of wine and a few beers so far. read more

My lifestyle leads me to become well-acquainted with the staff of any beer or liquor store I patronize, and Steve made this my favorite store ever. Westridge has a solid selection, and can have pretty good deals, but what makes it so excellent is the friendliness of the staff towards their regulars. Listen, take it from me...i live in the area. I moved from MoCo. Ive been to all the so call famous and cheap stores around here. This place has the best low prices and more selections. They are atleast $2-$3 dollars cheaper. So idk what these negative reviews are about. They must have posted after a few sips. Meaning WUTI(Writting under the influence). Yeah if you are cheap and broke, just dont do it to yourself. Stick to non-imported beer. Dont expect Heineken to cost the same as Bud. You need water by then. I enjoy going to this liquor store. It's always clean and organized. Everything is nicely placed through out. I don't feel the need to take shower when I leave. I just don't like the that old man follows my boyfriend around the store with his hands behind his back, thinking my boyfriend is going to rob him. Not all black guys want to rob your liquor store. He also likes to post up pictures of previous burglars who robbed his store behind the cash register, which I enjoy looking at. The younger guys are cool though. read more

Very, very rude and angry! I was looking for certain items no one ever asked if they could help. I still purchased a good amount of beverages and then asked the guy at the counter if they had sunflower seeds. He said whatever you see. WTH! After taking my money he never said thanks, have a good day nothing...sad. I am glad I do not live in the area but I have friends and family who do. I will be sure to tell them to take their business where it is appreciated. If the owners do not like Americans they should not open a store here. read more

I've been shopping here for years for convenience- I live in Braddock Heights. I've never gone for the customer service. But today was the final straw. The whole family was there behind the counter and nobody said, "hello, goodbye, can I help you?" When I was finished, and really could have used some help to the car as I had made a large purchase, nobody moved. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Great experience shopping here! The layout is nice and easy to find what you are looking for. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions.
