Some places are more than buildings, and Highmark Stadium - forever The Ralph to me - is certainly one of them. Earlier this month, the Buffalo Bills played their final game here, and with that, a chapter on Bills history closed. This stadium wasn't flashy or modern and it really never needed to be. It was cold (very cold), loud, imperfect, and most of all it was full of heart. Just like Buffalo. For decades, The Ralph was home to heartbreak and hope, rebuilding years and breakthrough moments. It's where generations of fans learned what loyalty truly means. Win or lose, Bills Mafia always showed up. In snowstorms, sideways rain, freezing winds, and gray November skies, the stands were full, the energy never wavered, and we were both thankful and proud to be there. Tailgates felt like family reunions. Strangers became friends within minutes. We didn't just watch football here, we felt it. The roar of the crowd, the signs, the chants, and the unwavering BILLief that this could be THEE year are moments stitched into the memories of every Bills fan. So as the Bills move across the street into their new home, I'll always be grateful for The Ralph. The memories will live on long after the final whistle blew. I have been going to the stadium since Chuck Know was the coach of the Bills. I used to get big sheets of ticket stubs in the mail. Now, you should be moving your e-ticket to your e-wallet before coming to the stadium because the huge crowd slows down cell service at the site. I don't normally buy food or drinks in the stadium since I tailgate beforehand. My seats for the last few decades are some of the best there was, but the views are good from just about everywhere, since it was built for football. Saw the epic Ravens vs. Bills season opener on Sunday night at Highmark. This was my first time seeing a Bills game here live and it was fantastic. The whole experience was epic. I've been a Bills fan my whole life (live in VA but grandpa was from Buffalo) - so this was a big deal. The stadium is interesting - they're currently building the new, fancier one right across the street - so this one is in the final "goodbye" season for 2025. It's interesting bc it's mostly an outdoor, college-type stadium that isn't very state of the art with fancy box seats, or restaurants, or shops or museums or displays like the newer ones. It reminds me of the one at our college more than NFL. But, the new one will have all of the good stuff (box seats, shops, restaurants) plus some other weather-specific upgrades for the harsh winters in Buffalo. What makes this feel authentic is that it isn't fancy and it isn't pretentious - nothing about Buffalo is and that's nice. Friendly, hard-working people who love their team. I loved the tailgating all throughout the street on the way to the game, I love how it's literally in a neighborhood with houses almost on top of it, I loved shopping in the Bills Store inside the stadium, I loved it all. Amazing stadium and fans! They are quite rowdy and it was fun seeing them beat our Chiefs and Travis Kelce two days after seeing his girlfriend and probably soon to be fiancée and wife, Taylor Swift, in Toronto. Tailgating was so fun too and my wife and I bought merch from a couple stands including the blue furry hat with red horns the fans wear and wonderful food from Bloomfield's Pub. Be prepared to need cash or use Venmo since many do not use credit cards. It is wonderful how the Town of Orchard Park feels like a small town with a huge football stadium to make the experience so special. Some of the lots are closed to build a new stadium, which may not be necessary but could be more cost effective than renovating this one. We are and drank before, so not sure about concession quality but since this is a tailgate heavy crowd it is no surprise food and drink options seemed limited. Despite giving it five stars, the more modern venues we have been to of M&T and Lumen seem slightly better but it is light years ahead of the Commanders Stadium (now Northwest Stadium) and the dome where the Rams played in St. Louis. Also, it took forever to leave and the wait at the Canadian customs at the Peace Bridge only added insult to injury but I still think Rally was a worthwhile experience. There were plenty of local busses too and other regional busses across upstate New York in addition to Rally which is great to prevent drinking and driving, helps with traffic, and deals well with the limited parking lot availability due to the new stadium being built on former lots. There is also parking in front of homes and businesses further away which seemed a strange but a novel idea. Another thing is there is plenty of swearing and adult humor among the fans compared to other sporting events we have been, so be warned if you plan to bring children. The fans stand the entire game throughout the stadium so we stood as much as we could but did have to take sitting breaks due to our disabilities. read more

I joined 71,000 other fans at "Highmark Stadium" in Buffalo New York to watch the Dallas Cowboys, (Americans team & mine), take on the Buffalo Bills. Heavy rain and cold temperatures were experienced throughout the day but fortunately come game time, the rain stopped but the cold weather remained. The stadium staff was great and directed me to my "correct" seat even though I wasn't wearing bills attire (lol). The stadium is nice but is a little outdated. There are a number of eating spots offering your typical stadium food raging from; burgers, hot dogs, nachos and pretzels. The food was tasty, had great flavor and was reasonably priced. The game itself was very entertaining and I had high hopes for a cowboy victory but unfortunately it was not to be. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and my visit to Buffalo. read more

This is the stadium I have gone to for so many events in my life. Whether it be a football game, the Chicken Wing festival, or some of the concerts here, it's such a great time. Now this stadium is a little old and sometimes outdated, but just like the older homes in the city, it's got charm. For a Bills game, there's not a bad seat in the whole stadium. From the last row of the 300 level to the first row up, it's a great place to go for a game. I think what makes this stadium so cool as that Buffalo is such a huge football city. The people here really drink the Buffalo Kool-Aid and coming from the DC/Maryland/Virginia area it's actually really refreshing to see. Everywhere you go in the city it's all Bills themed. I drove up through P.A. where it was a Steelers nation, but as soon as we hit New York you start seeing everything switch over. When I got to the stadium and saw the sea of blue and red. I made a comment to my friend from Buffalo and said " So this is what it's like to have a good team", he replied "No, this is what it's like no matter what." That really stuck with me while I was at the game. The Bills fans dominate the majority of seats in the house. If you squint you'll see fans on the visitors side, but it's more of a concept than a reality at this stadium and that's really cool. No matter where you are in Buffalo, it feels like you're only minutes from the stadium. Pregame tailgating was as advertised. The Bills Mafia has a reputation around the league for getting it in before games and they didn't disappoint. I don't think I've ever seen a bonfire in a parking lot before, but it's Buffalo so it makes sense. The smell of wood smoke and grilled foods set the tone for a great day of football. You could smell the aroma about 8 minutes away from the park. Inside the stadium it was easy to navigate and find my seat, but with great seats comes great cardio, because the stairs on the lower level are unforgiving. We were between the 40 and 50 yard line behind Buffalo's bench, and getting back up to concessions was a trek. Especially when you've been drinking, and standing for 4 quarters (our game went into overtime). Either way I would do it all again in a heartbeat. If you're coming out to a game, try to take a day or 2 to soak up the city. Buffalo has a lot of cool history and great foods to try. The wings aren't bad either...lol read more

I've been countless times over the course of my life - only for Bills games and most recently a Billy Joel concert. I really like it here. Parking is easy (especially when you love leaving things early like me!) and the vibes are always fun fun fun, because it's Buffalo! The biggest downer at the Billy Joel concert was the exclusive contract with Labatt. I don't like a single product Labatt produces so I didn't get to enjoy the drink while enjoying the concert. Horrible! There were stands outside of the stadium selling some other options, but these were cash only after the venue specifically communicated to us that this was a cashless environment. Le sigh. The stadium is FINE - bench style seats and tons of options for view points. The concert sound was awesome and I would absolutely see something else here if the option presented itself to me. So the highlight of a very underwhelming visit to Buffalo was "Highmark Stadium", the home of the Buffalo Bills; the Reigning, AFC East champions. The stadium and surrounding areas are a mess because of the new stadium being built across the street, but I still need to explain. We arrived at the stadium early to tailgate. Our parking lot wasn't open till four twenty so we had to find another place to park. We paid fifty dollars for a dirt patch and that's where we ended up staying because we were blocked in. I lost my closer spot and I had to accept it. The stadium itself isn't impressive, I see why the governor of New York paid eight hundred million dollars to help build a new one. I wonder why she didn't do the same for the Giants to bring them into New York, but it has nothing to do with her being a Bills fan. So I will come after 2026 to check out the new stadium. Hopefully they build around it and there's more to do. Hopefully they open the parking lots sooner as well, I lost almost two hundred for my parking pass. read more

Bills Stadium is the new name of New Era Field. Originally called Rich Stadium and then Ralph Wilson Stadium, Aka The Ralph, which I'll probably always call it. As with many other places I unfortunately haven't been there this past year but have many good memories of the place. So naturally with the Buffalo Bills just winning the AFC East Championship I found it was the perfect time to visit. Many people complain about this being an open Stadium but I guess I am one of those crazy people who thinks its great to attend a football game in the winter. Just dress warm! If you think you have enough layers, well add another one. The Bills Stadium is filled with tradition and normally many loyal enthusiastic fans. I still remember the first time I walked into the Stadium! If you attend a game you definitely need to take in the tailgating prior to the game. Is it a perfect Stadium? No. Could it use some upgrades? Certainly. But improvements in the last few years with better concessions and restrooms have helped. Prices on food, drink, and parking are high but don't think any different than any other Stadium. GO BILLS! read more

Got there two hours before the game, no parking. No help with parking. Took most of that time to get to the stadium and then they told us if you don't have a prepaid parking pass, to keep going. We called the stadium before and during the trip and they said you can pay when you get there. WRONG. We ended up finding a parking spot 2.5 miles away. IMO, if you paid for a ticket, they should have parking. Recommendation: if you get close to the stadium, take the $25 dollar unofficial parking even if you have to walk OR pay in advance. The game started when we were 2 miles away. Fortunately, we had Directv on our phones and were listening as we walked. We made it to the stadium with 2 minutes left in the first. Some people were in our seats. I said that they were in our seats. They said they weren't. I said can you show me your tickets. They said no, show me your ticket. I said no problem. They moved. The seats had not been cleared of snow, nor had the isles. We had to carve out spots to sit. Most of the fans were quite drunk and throwing snowballs. Shocking. If you don't bother to clear off the seats, people will throw snowballs. The announcers repeatedly threatened to penalize the bills for snowballs, but that was an empty threat and never happened. We didn't order any food. The people around us did. Don't order food. Or at least, don't order pizza. Epic levels of crap. See photo. This review might help a first time visitor to Highmark Stadium. I wish I had this information before yesterday's Steelers-Bills game. Basically, the parking situation at this stadium is terrible. They can blame it on the snow all they want. But, construction of the new stadium eliminated about 30% of current stadium parking spots - just a rough estimate looking at the stadium parking map. There is no mention of limited onsite parking on the official website for The Bills. Event Staff onsite Monday were not guiding people on where to park at Highmark Stadium. None of the electronic signs have useful information. The local PD working traffic control do not have any apparent comms with the Stadium Event Staff. I checked the official website for parking information prior to driving 5-hours to see this game. The website indicates reserved parking is not available for single game ticket holders. Instead, it states that onsite parking is available for $40. Fair enough. No problem. Right? Unfortunately, no. The reality was total chaos. Total utter gridlock. I arrived with my adult sons 2-hours before game time. We were within 1-1/2 miles of the stadium parking lots. You would think that arriving 2-hours before game time would be good enough. It wasn't. Not even close. I missed the first half of the game that I paid a lot of money to attend ($400 per ticket with all the Ticketmaster fees - maybe ticket master can solve the parking problem for the Bills with all their unearned $$...) Because of the gridlock surrounding the stadium, the total lack of information, the lack of engaged traffic control from the police on assignment, the construction of the new stadium on a major chunk of parking lot - well, that's the problem. It's not just the snow. Maybe this will help someone else attempting to see a game at this stadium. Quick Answer - find off-site PRIVATE parking in advance about a mile from the stadium for easier access and exit after the game. Maybe with a private resident on Abbott Road. Or, maybe on California Road. Hint - McGard might be free parking. Here are the details and what I'd recommend - not that I'm ever going back to this stadium - old or new. Maybe management can use one or more of these solutions. I'm a problem solver. That's just what I do. Take it or leave it. In an effort to navigate around the gridlock using Waze, we ended up on Abbott Road approaching the stadium from the South. We weren't the only ones, at the 1.4 mile to go point, the traffic stopped, crawled a few yards, and stopped again. This continued for about 45- minutes, just to go 1-mile. How long can it take to direct cars into a parking lot? Still at the 0.4 miles point, my boys got out and walked to the stadium along with many others so that they'd be able to see the start of the game. Forget about tailgating or seeing pre-game warmup. I finally got to the intersection near the stadium Abbott and Big Tree (20A) Road where i observe part of the reason for the slow progress. The cops were guiding traffic from the west (20A) to move along. When it was our turn from the south, they just stood there - NO ONE was allowed to move through the empty intersection for about 5-minutes. The cops finally let us move - not sure why, and no guidance on where to go - at this point, there was a rumor that all stadium parking was full. It was now 4:15. And fifteen minutes until game time. Finally, a cop near the entrance to Lot 3 (now full) directed me to U-turn, right at light, right at light, right at light and approach stadium lots to the north on Southwestern Blvd. Solution One - Open Abbott Road in front of the stadium to easily transfer traffic from a full lot #3 to a nearly full lot #4 or #7. The recommended loop circuit took about 10-minutes, and then - I once again ran into gridlock heading east on Southwestern for an entire mile before the stadium lots on the northside. Now, it's 4:30 - no parking solution anywhere. And no information. Solution #2 - utilize electronic signs to inform us where to park OR that parking is now FULL. I take a side road thinking there might be parking available on the street over there - Sheldon Road. I don't know the area. NO parking on the street allowed. All residential. There were empty driveways and lots of available space on the quiet street. Solution Three - Let people park along the streets on game days. It would be temporary use and gone by Midnight. Now, stuck in gridlock for another 60-minutes, I'm watching the game on my iPhone - not in my $400 5th row seat. I finally make it to the north lots #4 and #7 and I'm told by the Event Staff the lots are full and that I'll have to find Private Parking! Maybe announcing with information on their website that due to new Stadium construction nearly 30% of parking is unavailable and that other arrangements aka Private Parking are highly recommended. We travelled up there from Akron to watch the Bills defeat the Ravens. Everything was great except for the parking. What a nightmare. We were in gridlock traffic, a woman behind us hit our car twice. Well, New Era Field didn't trigger my vertigo the way Key Bank Arena did so right away things were off to a good start (for the venue, the game was another story.) We didn't have the best seats, but the view was good enough to mostly tell what was happening instead of relying on the video screen. If you want the best seats in September when there's still a chance of hot, sunny weather like we had today, aim for the 200s on the home side. It's covered and shaded from the sun. The 200s on the visitors side are also covered but you'll be facing the sun. Our seats purchased through my husband's work were in the 300s on the visitors side, though it was still predominantly Bills fans. No shade whatsoever but it still beats sitting in the 300s at Key Bank Arena if you share my fear of heights. It's nowhere near as steep. Lots of restrooms, concessions, and merchandise shops. The biggest shops are inside on the east and west. Prices are in line with what you expect, which is to say too expensive ($4 for water, more than $10 for beer.) The stadium itsself is in decent shape, the chairs are all in tact, there are easy, visible signs to find your seats, bathrooms, etc. There are plenty of different food options, they have sections where you can buy craft beer now. My only complaint is the entry into the stadium because it takes forever with the new system of having your ticket on your phone, especially because the service kind of sucks around the stadium. My sporting related events always follows the motto, "when it rains, it pours." Never have I ever had a pleasant sporting experience weather wise and this event didn't disappoint. Forecast wise, I knew it was going to be cold and snowy. I still underestimated the amount of layers that I wore. Towards the end of the game, my toes were so cold that they started to feel warm. At one point, if you were at the 200 level or higher seating, it was complete white out on the field. The "snow-busters" had to come onto the field every 10 minutes to clear off the 10 yard lines. Overall, I had a really fun first experience. The Bills winning during overtime against the Colts made the cold worth it (though if you ask my friend, I'm not sure if he would agree). Other misc points: - Next time, wear way more than I think I need to wear, bring a poncho, hand warmers, and extra pairs of gloves and socks. - Ride sharing from Buffalo to Orchard Park is ~$27-30 read more

I love going here for concerts or games. Its close to home, and they direct traffic so well, its easy to get in and out of any parking lot you end up in. Last time I was here was for Billy Joel, and everyone, including the workers seemed in a great mood, and very helpful to show me to my seat. Plenty of spots to grab food/drinks, inside as well as outside of the stadium. Tons of parking in and around the stadium. People allow you to park on their properties for a certain price. Convenience stores/bars/restaurants all around the area for something to do after you leave whatever venue you were here for. Great place!!! read more

As we drove into the stadium, they charged us $30 to park for the U2 concert, and they only accepted cash--that's insane. On top of it, they directed us to park near the main road, so we might as well have parked at one of the neighbor's lots! It was a good walk to the stadium from our parked vehicle. The security check was quick and painless as we entered the stadium. The food concessions and beer prices were high of course, though $10 for a tall boy beer was cheaper than other event places I've been to. For a stadium that's been here quite a while, it looks really good. The seats are in good shape and it was clean. For the U2 concert the audio was amazing for an open stadium. Though, because it's so open it gets very windy and you feel a lot colder. So even when it's 70° out in September, you still might need a good thick sweater or jacket-- a scarf doesn't hurt either. Exiting the stadium was slow but at least they had staff directing traffic inside the place. And then once outside the stadium, there were lots of police officers doing the same. read more

Most of my experience at New Era Field is for Bills games. I still call it Ralph Wilson Stadium, which is what I typed into the search and although I didn't do it purposefully I was glad to see that it made the connection between the two. I've been going to Bills games for over 25 years, since before I can remember as my Dad has had season tickets. Although I have not been to another pro football stadiums, I have been to many other pro sports stadiums and I feel like the Ralph can stand with them all. They have made a lot of aesthetic updates to the exterior which I think have really helped the gameday experience. My suggestions to help your gameday experience include: Get there early. What's a game if you don't tailgate? Park at the Armor Heating and Cooling lot, the guys working there are great, they have a bathroom, and although it is a little bit of a walk it makes for an easy get out. Visit the Billevard or the Field House. Free samples, free photos, free mini golf, Dennis George the Quiz show master, and more. Free! What else could you need? The bathrooms there are pretty clean, and there area a good amount of them. I can't seem to find water fountains anymore which was a bit of a bummer? But guest services will fill up a cup or bottle for ya, luckily they are right outside our section, if it was more of a walk it would be a little bit more frustrating. New Ere Field, home of the NFLs Buffalo Bills. It really is a nice stadium. Turf field. But it can get pretty cold in the winter time, as it's an open air type of stadium. Parking is decent. I am a Lions fan and my husband is a Bills fan. They only play each other every few years, so we decided to go to the game. This was my first time to New Era. I was not happy when we found out the game was in December, lol. We lucked out with the weather, and it was 37 degrees and not rainy or windy. My husband wanted to tailgate all day, but I didn't want to be stuck outside from 9am until 5pm, so we got there at 11:00. The parking lot was much more tame than I expected. People were drinking and playing games and stuff, but nothing crazy like you see on youtube, It might be because we came later in the day so we were in a different lot. Our seats were in 222, row 3 (which is actually the front row). They were bench seats with lots of leg room in front of us. And since it was the first row, there was no one in front of us, so it was easy to see. And 4 Lions fans ended up sitting right next to us, so that was great. The only issue was that there was a huge puddle at my feet, so my legs were soaked the entire time. I really was not cold, but I'd have been comfortable if the puddle wasn't there. Even so, if we go back, I'd get these seats again. Since it was almost Christmas, I was going to buy my husband a Bills hat or something at the game. It was super weird though; we didn't walk buy a single souvenir stand the entire time. I know there's a store, but it's odd that you have to go find the store to spend your money. Usually there's stands every like 20 feet so you'll buy stuff. The marketing department is missing the mark on this. However, my husband got a sandwich and a beer for $27, so they're certainly making their money off that. We left a few minutes early to avoid the traffic, and I'm glad we did. We got out very easily, and I didn't feel like waiting an hour or more to get out of the parking lot. We listened to the end of the game on the radio in our car. When the Lions play the Bills in Buffalo again in 7 years, I may go back, but I'm really in no hurry. Hopefully they're downtown by then. It's much nicer to go to a game when you can stay at a hotel, walk to the game, and then walk back afterward and not worry about traffic. The stadium being indoors would also be a huge plus for me. If it had been raining or snowing that day, no question, I'd have been miserable. I guess I'm spoiled by the Lions playing inside in Detroit, but hanging out in a parking lot for hours outside, then watching a game outside for hours is just not my thing. It would be nice if there was a room or somewhere you could go to get warm, but you're basically stuck outside from the time you get out of your car. There are Club seats that I think were inside, and I'd look into getting those if I went again. We lucked out with the weather, but in December, I'd rather be inside. read more

We used to win some games you know. At that time, the stadium was known as Ralph Wins Some Stadium. Those days are long gone. No, I jest. The Bills have been good lately, the new coach is anything but a "Doug Moron" and I think that with a good QB investment, we could challenge for 3rd place in the AFC East next year ;) Really though, I have high hopes. High, though, is not what this stadium is. It is very low down, and that seems to create a strange swirling wind, a sort of tornado, that makes everyone else hate coming here. Is it that, or is it the subzero temperatures? Who knows. Similar to Cleveland and Green Bay, it's one of the most feared stadiums in the NFL. First-Hand Experience: Info on my personal visit to this stadium - I live about 30 mins drive from this stadium. I've probably seen 15 or 20 games here over the years. I've seen everyone from Bledsoe to Fitzpatrick to Manuel start as QB live in person and the same outcome has always prevailed. The Bills never get to the Playoffs. The last time they were there was before I moved to the area. Nevertheless this stadium, while old and in need of some revamping, is one of the most intense and intimidating cauldrons in the NFL. It's lower that ground level so all the noise and wind stay in and whip around and make it impossible for the opponent to focus. I don't like coming here in Dec and Jan though. Not that we ever play in Jan anymore :( Now that I've been to every NFL stadium (current and former) and seen all 32 teams play live in the flesh, time to review them on Yelp! I love stadia! I've been to every cool sports arena in the UK & North America, it's an obsession I have with travel & sport. I've roamed America as a musician for years. In that time, I've seen sports games at (or toured when empty, or both) almost every major stadium in US/Canada. Many pictures taken which I'll upload eventually. Watch this space! ***back to regular review*** It's in need of a facelift, and it's way way way out in the middle of nowhere which I don't like... but it's loud and fun and pretty and impressive and a real jewel in the WNY crown, and my hometown team plays there so I have to show some love. I haven't yet dated a Buffalo Jill (I have the Redskins covered), I'll let you know if there is any progress on that front. Speaking of fronts, a cold front is coming in. Oh wait. It's Buffalo, it ALWAYS is. I'm one of the weirdos that would love the Bills downtown. Went to my first NFL Game due to my husband being a Bills fan. We attended the lions vs bills game in December. Word to the wise: The December games can get super cold as the stadium is open. So dress for the weather! Including shoes! My poor toes were freezing from the cold from the concrete. The stadium is really nice. We were 3rd row on the 20 yard line, great seats! The food options are not bad and the staff were all friendly. The stadium is not the biggest but I really enjoyed it. However, the parking was just mayhem! It took us 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot just due to some not so smart driving choices made by others. (Seriously though, who gets out of the car to pose for photos on the hood of the car while in the moving line up to get out of the lot-makes no sense). Either way, I really enjoyed my time. The loss of star is for the speaker system, I found it hard to hear anything that was happening. All in all, it was a great experience and the best part is, they won the game! Go Bills! read more

Awesome experience! I'm not really a sports fan, but I truly enjoyed our experience at New Era. It was magical to see the Buffalo Bills play in living color. Had a wonderful time with my husband. Hardly noticed the temperature until closer to 4th quarter, but it is imperative to dress warm because there is literally no place to get warm once you exit your car. Concession stand nachos were really good and we ended up ordering a second batch. Be prepared to spend some cash at the concession. Signage and directions are located strategically throughout the stadium. Very easy to navigate. If you arrive after first quarter or close to kick off, be prepared to wait in line for a bit. read more

I don't know why I haven't written a review of "Rich Stadium" yet. I've been here tons of times over my life. Mostly for concerts I admit. Which dates me because for a long time they didn't have them there. But The Who, The clash, The Stones, U2 and more have been there over the years. And I saw them all. Then of course the football games I've been to. With the obligatory tailgating. Always fun. I've been to perhaps 15 large stadiums in my life. Some covered and climate controlled. Lines weren't long for concessions or bathrooms. The Bills store was crowded but that's to be expected before or after a game.

Lacking and disappointing venue from top to bottom. In an era where modern NFL stadiums are a sports lover's dream, Highmark Stadium feels antiquated and in much need of an improvement - and the new stadium could not come soon enough. The stadium is lacking in terms of accessibility, traffic control, and overall cleanliness. Rain puddles from weeks ago permeate the stands and walking areas. The parking lots are a gravely mess, leading to repeatedly getting trapped in hours of gridlock traffic before and after games. Seats are uncomfortable bleachers or slightly more comfortable plastic seating. Although you will be standing for most of the game. Some of the newer video and audio amenities are nice, but the rest of the place appears to be falling apart at the seams. And that's not to say Highmark Stadium does not have any history or a fun atmosphere on game day, but there is a certain level of lawlessness at Bills games that plague the experience. And even though this often rowdy crowd deservedly needs a strong security presence, I have oftentimes been hassled by security for seemingly no reason. Fights are a weekly occurrence. How are other events besides football games? I have been to a concert or two here, and the atmosphere is much more relaxed and enjoyable. The acoustics and sound quality is also surprisingly good as well. For sports fans, it's a great argument for the need of a new stadium. And even if this new stadium still will not have a dome, it will certainly be better than the current stadium we have now. read more

Let me just start with the stadium, it was ok. Regular run of the mill stadium. However, the fans ruined the entire experience. If you are not a Bills fan (which I am not) and you value your life, do not go there. Ever. It was scary. I thought for sure I would be mauled. The abuse was horrible. Not trash talking, because that's expected. This was straight up, cursing, and threats. Items were thrown at us, from pebbles to food. Someone tried to throw a drink on us! My husband went once with our son awhile back and walking through the parking lot, he had to cover my sons eyes because there was a couple having S*X in broad daylight on the hood of a car!!! Security does nothing about any of it. So if you're a Bills fan, have fun. If you're a fan of any other team, don't do it. I've been to other stadiums, and I have never seen such insanity. The opposing teams fans talk smack at other arenas, but Buffalo takes it to an entirely different level. read more
