A great neighborhood coffee shop in West Adam's. During the week day it's packed! A lot of people on their laptops working away. The coffee and pastries are delicious. They offer food but I haven't tried it yet. I've met friends here for a glass of wine in the evening. I believe they have happy hour discounts. They seem to specialize in organic wines & have a selection of bottles if you prefer the bottles over a glass. Service has always been positive. So we stumbled upon this place after leaving the Maidan Market across the street (it didn't look great as we walked though it so we left). What an awesome little gem this place is. I was curious to try highly likely based on seeing Kat compete on Top Chef. In the neighborhood, we stopped by. Plenty of free street parking which is a rarity was a plus. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We scanned the menu at the bar and ordered. I had the pibil and hubs had a burger. Both were delicious. My bowl was loaded with meat, just the right amount of heat, a perfectly fried egg with a runny yolk and a super crispy tortilla. The burger was cooked to the temperature requested, the fries were good and homemade pickles were a nice touch although a little more vinegar than I prefer. The Bodega Sando is full of fluffy scrambled eggs covered in great cheese sauce, and the eggs actually taste really good with the Ubiquitous Avo Toast, which is so photogenic and tastes as pretty as it looks. More lunch-like options include the Pibil Bowl, with very tender chicken. Add runny-yolk fried eggs, a crunchy tostada, veggies, and cheese, and you can't not like it. Oh my sweet little haven! I never understood why people would go and work from a coffee shop till I found this little gem. It just works, the vibe, the food, the clientele. I work here once a week and love it! The food is amazing best kale salad I've ever had if you go for happy hour the wine and fried artichoke are a good choice. The staff is always friendly. I see the same staff since I go in on a specific day a tall guy with round glasses and an another gentlemen with a great mustache. I was with my toddler and they were fast to help us with a highchair and made sure he was also taken care of throughout the meal which was incredibly nice of them. I was surprised by how much seating there was in the restaurant. For the most part, it's all tables of 2, ideal for the single person looking to work remotely. However, the noise levels inside were high. The music playing was loud and I can only imagine how inconvenient it would be to try to take a zoom meeting from there. The food was very good. I had the chicken strips and it came with fries. It didn't say that it came with fries on the menu so I ended up ordering fries separately. Luckily, I had people with me to help eat it all. I had been craving fries for days and it totally satisfied my taste. It was salty and savory in the best way possible. The chicken strips were perfectly crispy and I loved the spicy dipping sauce with it. The place was very clean. There is a gender neutral bathroom stall as well as a ladies restroom. We ordered a coffee and a matcha and I thought my matcha was pretty decent but it could have been stronger and the quantity of the serving size was not the best or even standard. When i had come before it was served in a tall glass and this time it came in a tiny round glass. Our orders were not to go, but our servings were quite small, and we almost regret not ordering to go so that we could have had a bit more of the serving for our drinks. My boyfriend tried the new burger and that was something we deeply regretted. The size was incredibly small and we expected a delicious good quality burger, but it honestly looked like an in n out burger but an in n out burger would have had more to offer. This burger was tiny and simple. If my boyfriend had not ordered fries, he would have been very hungry the rest of the day. But the fries were also not good quality, they were not fresh they seemed as if they'd come out of a bag. We spent around 65$ and the only great thing about the meal was the chicken sandwhich that did taste fresh and the quality and size was good.
