Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. This man is a crook. Everything other people…read moresaid about this place is EXACTLY true. Bought a car from him with an incredible amount of issues after he reassured me that there were no issues at all. Did the paperwork and inspection himself. Definitely fooled me.

Beware this dealer!!!…read more Be cautious when buying a vehicle from this dealer. Purchased a car that could potentially have killed me from this dealer even after he told me that the car was in great shape. Bought a used car from Whit that was in absolute dangerous condition. Don't make the same mistake of letting Whit handle the paperwork for you, or get license plates. Have the car inspected yourself or run the risk of getting a car that "passes" inspection with highly dangerous, unfixed issues if you do make a purchase. When we bought the car from Whit he reassured us that he would have it properly inspected and in working condition. He appears to be a friendly personable person, but after getting the car I noticed the oil had not been filled even after he mentioned he would have it checked and changed. Took the car to get an oil change, and quickly began smelling a burnt smell after 2 months. I don't drive much, so it took a minute to notice, but it turned out there was a leaking oil gasket. Upon inspecting the car at a "certified" and legitimate inspection facility, I found out that the car was missing a bolt that holds the Left Rear Control Arm in place and that there was a bent and disconnected Sway Bar, both which should not have passed inspection and could have sent our rear tire flying off the car while we were driving. Thank god this did not happen. Additional issues included the Break Lines being installed improperly and had been touching parts they're not supposed to. Don't trust his inspection, if you are going to do business, I will recommend taking the car to be thoroughly inspected or you could potentially purchase a car that is life threatening.

Kaya was great! It was such a breath of fresh air since talking to car salespeople can be so…read morestressful because it can feel very pushy and they're always trying to make you buy more - but Kaya was so nice and direct, it felt more like having a conversation with a friend. We had already test driven the car and knew which model and trim that we wanted and she was very honest and understanding of our position. We were very appreciative that she was willing to work with us and we were able to reach a deal in about 30 mins, definitely the easiest/best experience I've ever had buying a car. 10/10 would recommend, ask for Kaya!

The process was not at all an award winning customer service experience…read more My first visit there to look at cars, I was greeted by Ray, who seemed nice, and said if we got a car they would even throw in a Josh Allen cardboard display after my mother commented on getting a picture with one. I took a Forester for a test drive while they were looking to give me an estimate for my current Outback. The Forester was nice. When I got back to the dealership after the test drive, they offered me $1,000 less than any other dealer that I had been to. They also refused to honor their advertised$2,500. The female manager (do not remember the name) said that was most likely going to be junked because of an exhaust leak (true), needing new tires, and being older. The tires have a total of about 15,000 miles on them and were in good shape. The entire "inspection" lasted a few minutes, was started for less than a minute, and never moved from the parking spot. I left a message with one of the executive team to try and get the terms and conditions on the advertised extra trade in value since I did not believe them, and got a call back from Justin who said that it was made clear to all the employees that the promotion was not supposed to be handled like they did at all, and it would be honored. Afterwards, I worked with the GM Zach a little, and the sales person Mercy who were both polite. At no point during the conversations with any of the employees did anyone get in the car and show, or talk about any of the features. Nor was any of the paperwork explained, other than to say what the name of the paperwork was. The only person that I would recommend dealing with is the finance person who very nicely explained all of the options for possible extended warranty and protection plans. Zach did offer to certify the car through the Subaru certification program, which I had asked about. They would not work on the price or anything else, I am assuming because of being forced to honor the trade in deal. The only reason I continued there is because of the trade in deal made financial sense to me. I wouldn't say I got a good deal, but it was a fine one for what seems to be a tough market. As we were finishing up, I asked about the Josh Allen cutout that had been mentioned on our first visit. Somehow they conveniently ran out of them in the 4 days since first visiting. Of course, pay no attention to the few that are sitting around the show room. If you are thinking of buying a vehicle from West Herr, I would go to one of the other stores in hopes that they may have better people since they will drive any of their vehicles to their other stores to be looked at. My experience here was rather impersonal and not very informative. I will also add that Ian at Van Bortel Subaru in Henrietta was an excellent representative to talk to, and I was a little disappointed that I was not able to come to a deal with him. If the deal at all makes sense, I would absolutely take my business there.
