The job came out great but within a couple of weeks I noticed the wall the door was attached to was cracking. Igor and Italo were just great. They arrived on time and spent all of the time necessary over two days to do the job the way it needed to be done, perfectly. That is because they measured and measured just to make sure that everything fit and was level. The very heavy glass barn doors are in place and work with phenomenal precision. They needed to remove sections of drywall to put in a header for the long stainless steel track and after all of the work was done, using paint I supplied, you would never know that the wall was removed. They took the time to do multiple layers of skim coat and paint and I could not be more pleased. On the second day, they worked through lunch just to make sure things were done and done right. Josh and crew are the best. After recommendation from Sliding Door, he was on site in no time to review the work. They have a relaxed yet competent repertoire, and we felt immediately comfortable entrusting our home to them. They had a very reasonable quote to us within a couple of days, which was less than a competing quote. They supplied all paperwork needed by our condo board, and the crew (each individually introduced) did the work quickly, efficiently, and with amazingly little intrusion (esp considering my partner & I both work from home). We added some work, and again from paperwork to completion it was all done beautifully. They can handle anything: door install with track gaps thinner than a business card, electrical and Ethernet (drilled through a foot of concrete), and wall patch/continuity that's delightfully invisible. This company owes me a Waiver and Release for paying in full months ago. I still have not received this important legal document from them. They are a NYC licensed contractor and know that this is customary practice. I certainly hope I will receive the notarized document ASAP. The office manager sent me a Waiver that was not correctly executed. They also added their own set of comments to it that were inappropriate. Too many things were handled poorly concerning this company and they are very expensive. I would not use them again. read more

They were again very responsive to our request for the COI for our building. Ellen reached out as soon as she knew from Sliding Door that our materials would be arriving to schedule the installation. Jacob and Highline have done a great job with my sliding door project. I have a weekend house in CT where they sent their installers. The guys went up prior to the install to get a better sense of the project which I was surprised and very glad about. The installation was not cheap but was done very cleanly. When I later expressed concern that in fact the install could be improved upon, Jacob, did not haggle with me. I sent him photos of what I thought could be improved, he agreed and he sent his installers a second time with no additional charges. The result is great and the tweaks the did to my installation makes me very glad I went back and asked. I had expected hassles and additional charges, but got neither. Jacob was a total pro. We are very satisfied with our new sliding doors, which were installed under a mezannine to create a room divider. Though it was a complicated job involving wrapping columns with wood, color matching paint to the rest of the room, and cutting away some floor to make the track flush with the floor, the end result looks seamless and high quality. We were a little confused about what to do before the installers arrived, but they were professional and efficient and nice to boot! The only thing is I wish we could schedule an installation date before the doors are 'ready' (it takes 8-12 weeks for custom doors, then took another month before installation), but I understand that it's in case the doors have issues. read more

The workers that installed my doors were okay but this company is ridiculous when it comes to their fees and they are the only company that the door company will recommend to install their doors or else they can't honor any type of warranty. In my case, they didn't have to do as much work as they thought and when i asked for a reduction in fees based on their original quote they could only go down 30$! i paid over 3k for doors and installation (frankly the doors are extremely easy to install and if your somewhat handy you can do it yourself - i have an infant so didn't have the time). I love my doors but hesitate to recommend the company (door store or highline). Total rip off read more

They showed up on time and ready to work. I did get hit with the extra charge because the panels did not fit in the elevator and had to go up the stairs. This possible charge of $50 per panel was communicated beforehand so it wasn't an unfair surprise. The panels were heavy and the installers took great care bringing them and the rest of the materials into our apartment without damaging our freshly painted walls. The care was noticeable as the size of the materials left little margin for error between hallways and doorways. Once in, they were quite efficient and were able to address any concerns I had with the installation. Our job required that a part of our baseboards be cut away, which resulted in a very small but visible spot in our wall above the actual baseboard getting cut in unnecessarily. Aside from that one thing, we are very satisfied with the installation itself and the professionalism of the installers. Would recommend. read more
