Tarca's is gone. This is now Valvoline. You will be ripped off. Before you give them your car, clarify any and all charges heading your way.

Multiple mistakes in a row. Had the car in and the transmission line wasn't put back properly, had to get a master mechanic over in my driveway to put it back so the car was usable. Then had it towed to them and they did repair it for parts cost only, but for a family vehicle and tow it was strike one. Next it was the second time the brake pad sensor failed after coming out of their shop after they did rotors/pads. No memory of it happening before (i finally remembered after reviewing old invoices) Asked them to contact a local shop so i didn't have to have it towed over to them again and they got too busy to do it. Called again the next day and they did call the local shop but forgot if it was the front or rear sensor. I had already ordered both from napa so i told them to just credit my account for the next work we did together when we weren't on vacation and they said to just work with the new mechanic since i didn't want to work with them, i just laughed and hung up. Oh and the new text messaging system they put in isn't monitored and half the staff doesn't have access to it or it doesn't work properly so don't get excited thinking it will make it any easier to keep track of things...

They also happen to be positive, which would help the overall rating of this business. I've been too busy to write reviews for most of the places I've visited over the past year, but I definitely wanted to carve out a few minutes to rate this business, because I found it to be excellent. I scheduled my pickup to be undercoated with Fluid Film, which is one of the services that Reliable Auto Center offers. When I arrived, they were prompt in taking my truck in. It was lunchtime, so I wandered across the street to a food truck (trailer, actually) that Troy's wife recommended (my Cubano sandwich was delicious, so I agree with her recommendation). After Troy pulled my truck into the garage and put it on the lift, he actually walked across the street to let me know his thoughts on the truck and the process before they did the work. That impressed me. While I was waiting for my food, the owner of the food trailer told me that he owns a snowplowing service and has known Troy for years, even calling him once at 3 AM when one of his trucks broke down during a storm. Troy came and got him back on the road quickly. Anyway, my truck was ready within an hour. The bill was reasonable and when I inspected the work that was done, I was impressed again. They were careful and thorough. I will definitely go back. In fact, if I lived closer by, I'm pretty certain that I would have Reliable do all the maintenance on my vehicles.

College students/parents of college students/anyone who drives a freaking vehicle GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Issue- car broke down, had to be towed. Fix? New serpentine belt and AC compressor, Problem? The AC doesn't work. This was found this out the first time when the weather was warm enough to need AC on Mother's Day, graduation day, when I was in town to move my student home, and the AC was used for the first time. Today, she went to get the rest of her things, and I called them to get her in so they could tell me why the AC wasn't working. Took 3 hours to tell us their AC machine that charged the ACs was broken, and they were waiting for parts. Could they NOT have told me this when I called? Waste 3 hours for NO fix? Yes, I had some words to say, and the women did as well. Blame totally on us and not them. I asked when it would be fixed so they could properly fix the vehicle we spent twice as much to fix-- or rather not get fixed-- anywhere else but there. It is a 12-hour round-trip drive, which she so rudely reminded me it wasn't the shop's fault... NO SH!T. When I asked for money back to have it fixed properly, a step was missed, because clearly it wasn't charged to begin with... she said no. I asked when the machine would be fixed so they could do the work, and she had no idea; they're 'sourcing' the part. What they should have done. TOLD US & NOT CHARGED FOR WORK THEY DID NOT COMPLETE.
