This is the only shop I have used for my car that I purchased brand new, one front end repair and one rear end repair. it's been about a year since my last front end accident and when I went to change my engine air filter I found that my air filter housing that brings air in from my grill to the engine was completely missing. I ended up having to spend $120 to fix it. This morning when I opened my trunk I saw a small plastic tab fall, when I inspected further I noticed all of the plastic tabs on the trunk were not there. It appears at first glance the repairs are good but then you start finding things they missed and now I'm scared of what else they missed and half-assed. read more

I received a written estimate for 2 hours of labor and $104 to repair some minor damage from backing my car into a snowbank. When I got to the shop, they pulled my car in, then back out out after no more than 20 minutes. The repairs were mostly complete. One trim piece still wasn't quite right. But they still demanded $104 for 20 minutes of work. That's $312 per hour. I wrote a polite e-mail to the owner inquiring about this experience, and received no response after waiting for approximately two weeks. If he'd cared enough to reply, I probably wouldn't have posted this. No business ethics here. read more

Brought my car in following an accident. Initially, service was good and they did a great job on fixing my car. However, there was a delay in getting the Toyota emblem for the trunk. They claimed that the factory sent the wrong part. Two months later we called the shop and they told us that the emblem was in, and they had no idea why no one had called to have it put on. We made an appointment for what we were told would take 10 minutes to put on. However, I sat in the waiting room for over an hour with no one telling me what was going on. Finally, I got up and asked what was happening. They let me know that they had scratched my car when installing the emblem, and they would have to fix it and polish the scratch, and had no idea how long that would take. Still sitting here an hour and 15 minutes later for a 10 minute appointment. read more

Our car was dinged on a hiking trip to Moab. The dent was so deep and jagged we thought it wasn't repairable without major work. We asked our car dealership service department if they could recommend a body center and they referred us to Highlands Ranch Collision. The staff were responsive, got us booked. Had us buy touchup paint kit from dealership vs charging us hundreds for a custom mix. They were upfront in explaining that there would be residual damage because of how deep and jagged the dent was. Booked the appointment, took the car in and wow - you cannot tell by eye sight or touch that there was ever damage. They also cleaned our car inside and out. What can I say about HRCC - My husband and I wouldn't take our repairs to any other shop in town! Over the past 10 year we have collision and hail damage to a variety of vehicles that they have repaired for us, EACH and EVERY time the vehicles look AMAZING and they are a State Farm Insurance preferred collision center. My husband cracked a painted fiberglass piece on his motorcycle, we took it to Jay and when he was done it looked like a brand new piece. Most recently we had a trunk from a motorcycle that we needed to have the color changed on, not only did the match the custom paint exactly but also added hand painted pin striping. Deciding not to go with GEICO's body shop was a decision I regretted. My car stayed with them about a month due to a front-end fender bender that did not affect the ability to drive it daily. The car was ready several days after their estimate. They refused to perform extra services while they had it, like removing the recall, filling up the fuel tank, giving it an oil change, etc. The original GEICO estimate was $4K, but GEICO essentially gave them a blank check, so they charged GEICO $7K. When I finally got an oil change and had the recall removed, my regular maintenance shop discovered a leak in the FRONT. The ONLY redeeming quality it had was snacks and candy for customers. read more

Had my car in here when I got rear ended a few months back. I was nervous about the entire situation mainly because of the paint being a special type of white. They simply did an amazing job. They even painted a few things that would have looked out of place with the natural fading. AVOID them like plague. These guys are asses. I took my toyota celica worth $3000 with crashed hood. They charged me $200 for checking, gave me an estimate of $3000; and did not even put back the car together. They said $150 for estimate and $50 to put together car. I had to take the car twice in. Towed my car here to be repaired after being rear ended on the freeway. They made a difficult and annoying experience best as could be. Customer service was fantastic. This place was terrible in my opinion. They deliberately low-balled a bid to get the job and then once the car was in and they allegedly started working on it, all of the sudden the price doubled. This was just minor, cosmetic damage involving the bumper. They claimed they didn't know that the manufacturer for some strange reason required a bumper cover to be replaced instead of repaired. As a body shop, aren't they supposed to know those things? Most body shops provide estimates through the same software which shows the requirements of the manufacturer for parts as well as labor requirement for the job. It's funny because the other body shop that proved an estimate did bid it with replacing the bumper cover. So how did this other body shop know the requirements and not Highlands Ranch Collision? The car was taken to Highlands Ranch Collision Center, because they said they could repair the bumper cover and their bid was substantially less than the other body shop. I know now that they did it to just get the job and then, as stated, they jacked up their price because they suddenly came into the know that the bumper cover had to be replaced and not repaired. I get the fact that in body work that shops sometimes do submit supplemental claims to insurance companies because once they dismantle a car they find additional damage that they couldn't see upon initial inspection. But this was a bumper cover and plainly visible. Additionally, this place required payment upfront before they would actually do any work. So if they do crappy work, I'm out of pocket and have to fight with them to get them to fix it and I have no financial leverage except to dispute it through the credit card company. Stay away and do not use Highlands Ranch Collision!! read more

An excellent business that understands quality and standing behind their work. I had an accident in my brand new raptor in 2015. Highland Ranch Collision did the repair. Last year my door started acting up, but I had moved since the repair 90 miles north, and going down there for the warranty became hard to schedule. Yesterday, I had to be in Denver so we called and set up an appointment. Not only did they cover the work under the warranty that was almost 4 years old, they repaired the door the same day, washed and cleaned out my truck, and gave me peanut brittle for Christmas. Seriously, all of this is true! Very rare these days to see a business that stands behind their work and shows such a high level of respect for their customers, no matter how long it's been since they did the work. I brought my 2016 Denali and My 2006 Duramax to be repaired after a large hail storm in my area What a mistake!! Do Not go here! they kept my vehicles' for 3 months and when I demanded them back they had oil on my seats, dash, carpet. did not replace headliner but charged my insurance for it. poor hail repair on both vehicles nothing was replaced they charged for. and they damaged the paint on my truck so bad! it needs a hole new paint job. they tried to cover up what they did by buffing and plastering my truck and lying to my insurance company! Staff didn't listen to my concerns about a clunking sound. Took my vehicle after they repaired it to the dealership which found my exhaust was not bolted correctly and missing bolts. Ironically this was on my estimate to check and repair exhaust which they didn't. They told me the clunk sound was the fact I needed new breaks which I didn't. Thankfully Volkswagen repaired my vehicle. I would not recommend going here. read more

Service staff is excellent and the quality of work on repairing some body dents and scratches was outstanding. I was leaving town at the end of the week and took it in Monday. They managed to get the work done in time and were responsive to my tight schedule. There was an issue with a dash light being on after the work and they took care of that as well. Upon arriving at this auto body shop to drop my car off for some rear end damage repairs, I was told that it was estimated at an 8 day build. Of course, I knew that was solely based on the external look of the damage and would more than likely extend once they saw whatever else was wrong inside of the vehicle. I understood that but before I left I asked when I would hear from them next, to which I was told I wouldn't. They were too busy to call customers to give them updates so it was on me to give them a call to find out how much longer they were looking at. I will admit, I was a little put off by this from the start. I took my car to Abra auto body last year for repairs and despite being a rather large chain who is very busy; they called me 3 times a week for updates on my vehicle. I found it a bit odd a place off the beaten track couldn't provide the same kind of service. However, I agreed to contact them and left. A week later I called and they had no updates what so ever, they didn't even have an estimated time frame. Another week and a half went by and I contacted them once again, this time being told they were still waiting on parts and still had no time frame. Fast forward another week and I am getting worried as my rental car is going to be up soon and we are quickly approaching Christmas and New Year's weekends. This time I am told they are still waiting on EIGHTEEN parts. I honestly feel like that is something they SHOULD have contacted me about, but alas, they did not see fit. I called again right before the Christmas weekend and that's when I was told that it was in the body shop and had a tentative finish date of the 30th. At least I finally had a time frame. Once again, we are approaching the holiday weekend so I call them on the 29th. This gentleman I have never spoken to before and he informs me they are still waiting on parts for me car. You have GOT to be kidding me! As it turns out, they just didn't have any updated notes in the file so the man was giving me the wrong information. Then he tells me that the car is to be done by the 4th. I call on the 3rd to be sure that the 4th is still when they are planning on having my car done. The girl looks at the notes (which I honestly don't even trust at this point) and tells me yes it will be done by 5 PM. They close at 5 PM so let's hope they get it done before then. Now it is the 4th and there is a rather large storm blowing in and I live over 35 miles from this location, I called them to see if they had any kind of time frame they could give me in which my car may be done by. The only thing I am told is that they are putting the pieced onto my car NOW and cannot give me a time because "anything could happen". I honestly cannot believe how poor the customer service is at this place. While all the people are friendly enough when you speak with them, the lack of knowledge or assistance when you are dealing with something as important as transportation leaves me in awe. I cannot remember the last time I have taken anything somewhere to be fixed and they have given me literally no updates or information on what to even expect. While I may be willing to change my grade slightly once I see the quality of work performed, the entire experience has left me cold and will ensure I NEVER return to this location. All I require is a little bit of communication and that is the one thing this place sorely lacks. read more

I wasn't happy for the reason they kept making appointments and then call to reschedule. This happened over and over and it been 8 months. They blamed me for missing scheduled appointments after they told me they would have to call back and reschedule. I never heard back so I just took the insurance money paid it on the truck. The truck had hail damage in that storm of May of 2017. Seems that nobody shop wants the hail damaged cars and trucks. I am bummed because now I have a NEW 2017 Ford truck that I couldn't get fixed.
