BUT, and this is a big BUT, the parking lot here is AWFUL. I used to come here to this place when it was a mall and the second they started building strip malls in the parking lot they RUINED this whole area. Market Basket alone needs a massive lot...I went on a weekday while most people should have been work-it was still an ugly mess. Come the holidays AVOID THIS WHOLE AREA. Sorry to the businesses but why would you sign a lease in a place with inadequate parking and NON-STOP TRAFFIC!?!?!?!?

It is also incredibly organized, has a lot of new items (because we have all been in the stores that pretty much just have lots of other store's cast offs in a massive "clearance" section) and lots of registers are open. As mentioned before, the parking lot can be a zoo since people seem to park, go into Market Basket, and stock up on food like they have never seen it before, but park way over on the side and just run right in.

I wouldn't call it a destination like some of the top pancakeries in New Hampshire and Maine. But for a muffin, breakfast sandwich, or toast, a solid rendition if you're passing through the area. Arguably better than similar places nearby. -- Blueberry Muffin: Still warm at 7am opening. Sure it was early, but plenty of places (NY Bagel Factory for one) serve chilled ones baked the day before. The dome is similar to the Jordan Marsh version with lots of sugar crystal on top. And they also offer one with no sugar at all on top. Neither is life changing but both are good. They also do the same with raspberry, which looks good. -- Avocado Toast: Thin of slice but thick of creamy spread, with cherry tomato halves and a good drizzle of balsamic vinegar to give it a bit of a bruschetta touch. -- Egg sandwich: Fried egg with choice of vessel (I went English muffin), choice of protein (I went sausage patty), and choice of cheese (I went cheddar). Solid job, with fried egg crispy at the edges and runny inside. The space is comfy even though you're basically immersed inside a gift shop. Self service on coffee, utensils, and napkins. The ladies behind the counter are mostly helpful, but there's one who's consistently cantankerous. More of a 3.5 rounded up to a 4 out of necessity than a 5-threatening 4, but I stand by my 4.

Imagine this place was built just a few years after our country first began in 1776. It was formerly a General Store, School & Post Office. It was purchased & moved to this location by Henry Ford. Yes that Henry Ford of the Ford Motor Company. The foundation of the building was made from huge boulders dug up from the grounds, & the basement is supported by pillars made out of huge tree trunks. There is a secret located in the cellar. The stairs are hand carved from logs & the steps are joined together with wooden pegs. Mr. Ford had a way to detect burglars that predated burger alarms. What Henry did was to loosen the pegs in every third stair so they creaked. When someone stepped on them that would signal that a burglar was climbing the stairs. The old version of the mall was good as it grew with time growing up with it. The store just got better and replaced with no better stores and more high-end stores. I think the most prevalent thing I've noticed is how there are a lot of entertainment options now. Dave and Busters was the first to open, followed by Level 99. Now there's also a Puttshack and a Bosee Pickleball club. I think this adds a layer because it turns into "just a mall" to a social gathering spot where you could shop, eat, or have fun. There's something for all ages with this. Now when it comes to the shopping, there's still your average clothing stores, there's beauty and jewelry stores like Sephora and Pandora, and also a Macys if you want a department store. There's also a wing with more high-level luxury stores, like a Zara, Louis Vitton, Tiffany, and David Yurman. I think this area is nice if you want luxury but not to travel into Boston. There's a lot of empty stores in this wing too so hopefully they get filled soon. Food options are good too, they have a food court, Cheesecake Factory, P.f. chang's., California Kitchen pizza, and the food inside of the entertainment places too. Overall this mall has been renovated a lot, and I think for the better. It encompasses a lot and you don't have to come here just to shop, but you can if you'd like. I will say though they have plenty of parking which includes free garages, people are still unkind around the holidays and you might be circling around for a while before you find a spot. Parking is always hard here no matter what and I know people who avoid this mall because of it, which is sad but I get it. I heard if you come on a weekday morning it's better.

MANY at a time, and at 10 cents off if you recycle the bags. Not bad. But today... AHHHH today. I am of the school of the Duck. I hadn't had a chance to sign up for any of their cooking classes. And I've had a couple of friends complain about the price. Not cheap. But not expensive. If you consider that it is a mom and pop shop (or more so a feisty grandmom on entrepreneurial steroids and a very supportive family and community network...) It's Sudbury. AND the ingredients are quality. You get what you pay for. Small group for afternoon tea. And a sampling of bubbles. On the docket - how to prepare a "proper" English cup of tea. Yea. Traditional cucumber tea-time sandwiches. Nothing complicated there. BUT making millionaires shortbread... and traditional fluffy, airy and delicate SCONES with a hefty dose of clotted cream and jam... Weather was dreadful. Dirty and icy. 2 of the chefs for the day couldn't make it, but with 6 brave souls, one delightful instructor, super clean kitchen, gadgets, American and Irish butters (LOTS OF BUTTER, LIKE BUTTER and more BUTTER), caster sugar, get in and get dirty hands - we had to breathe in sunshine through the grey sky. Simply magic. If you haven't come by, its worth the visit! Booze is comparable with Total Wine AND you can find special oddities. And commodities. And Cheese. AND killer baguettes (insider secret - they don't bake on Sundays, but if you MUST carb it - they sell them frozen...). CANT WAIT FOR MY NEXT CLASS! Oh, and in case you need something to do and you want to dispose of some dead presidents, they offer PRIVATE cooking classes so you can celebrate and eat and be merry with your friends. And a mooching stranger. PM me - I'll come and help out! I will shamelessly join for the people. AND the food!
