We had a great experience here. The cashier was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. I ordered an iced vanilla chai and a cheese bagel with cream cheese and it was really good. The chai was delicious. The inside is very cozy and the art they had on the wall was nice to look at. Great place!

This might have been my favorite coffee shop the whole trip. Settled on the edge of downtown Golden up on a hill, you get beautiful views of the mountains above and the town below. The coffee selection is unique and my latte was delicious! Really flavorful without being overpoweringly sweet. The guy working inside gave great recommendations and was really fun to talk to. He directed us to some other really good eateries and drinkeries in town. The food selection is quite limited but the coffee and the views were right up our alley.

Crazy busy but handled it with grace. Came here after yoga and unknown to us there was a Christmas parade downtown so there was an enormous line. The barista had a cheery attitude and in the time it took him to check us out his coworkers 'the people behind the curtain' had already made our drinks. We both got some of their seasonal drinks, sweater weather latte - Lavender and Cardamon, and a pumpkin pie chai. Both were delicious and had balanced but noticeable flavors. I have come here many times before and it's never been so busy but there is often a warm buzz of activity. The ambiance is cozy and local.

A cozy downtown vibe with an incredible view of the mountains from the outside deck area. We enjoyed a morning stop here before walking around Golden. The vanilla latte was excellent but could have been 5-10 degrees hotter. Next time I will ask for extra hot. The iced coffee was skillfully prepared but became watery over time. The breakfast sandwiches were good. The service was fine and the local vibe made us feel at home.

I always love stopping in Higher Grounds while in Golden! Close to both downtown and the Mines Campus, and a convenient stop if you're staying at the Table Mountain Inn. There's seating outdoors on the deck, and plenty of tables inside for colder months. The employees are always so friendly, and I love the one barista who always jokes with customers - he's great! I love their coffee and the seasonal flavors they have on the menu. I always enjoy getting their latte with oat milk. I ordered the cheese danish which I really enjoyed, and in the past I've tried their bagels which I also liked a lot. This is a great little place if you want to study, read a book, get together with a friend or two, or just grab a coffee to go. The plants inside are cute, and I love how this place has such a cozy, warm feel. Great place to get coffee in Golden!

The coffee is quite good. Like the fact they had several copies of the Sunday Denver Post around to read.

Amazing breakfast sandwiches and top tier coffee! I definitely recommend this spot - the oldest coffee shop in Golden!

Cute cafe with some nice seating inside. Was pretty crowded on a Saturday morning. I had the spicy chai. I love how they use mismatched cute mugs. The chai was not spicy. The pastries were good not amazing. The croissant has a lot of chocolate and I liked it. The scone was yummy but tasted like box mix. Overall good service and recommend.

"Bacon" egg and cheese bagel had maybe half a slice of bacon, mostly fat. Matcha latte was lumpy, cold brew was minty. Cool vibes tho

Adorable coffee shop in the downtown of Golden Colorado. I could see the mountains from higher grounds patio seating. I tried the bagel breakfast sandwich, it was fantastic. I was able to choose my own bagel which was fun. I ended up getting my favorite, Asiago cheese! All breakfast sandwich bagels seem to be made upon order but it wasn't a long wait at all. I also loved to see this coffee cafe using reusable cups since we stayed in house to eat. Definitely go check this place out if you are in the area.

Can you sit-in and study here? If so are there outlets for laptops?

I am currently using the free WiFi and have my laptop plugged in so I can study O-Chem, so, yes! ☺️

I wanted to get out of my bubble and remembered Launch. Hadn't been there in a year and it was a nice homecoming. Plenty of outlets, cranking A/C, and a surprisingly great patio with protective umbrellas on those hot summer days. I asked the baristas if they'd make me a cold brew lemonade and though confused by my request at first, they obliged! Later in the day I ordered an Americano and it was hot and soul soothing. Unfortunately, I do have to give some criticisms on the food I had. Shantytown ($15.50) // Chicken breast, bacon, baby greens, tomatoes, ranch, brioche bun. This simply was not good. The chicken was dry, the greens were dry, hell the bun was dry. For $15 (and no side!) this was a slap in the face to all the great chicken sandwiches out there. There's a chance they forgot the ranch dressing. If they didn't they were just very stingy with it. The bun kept tearing apart as I ate. It was just a really disappointing eating experience. Next time I'll walk over next door instead to grab a bite. I say all the above in hopes of them reflecting on the current menu and hopefully making improvements. I understand pricing is insane right now, but you still have to execute and deliver. And for a coffee shop that I highly doubt is making everything fresh to order (even the bacon was precooked and reheated) there has to be a better way. Food aside, come here for the vibes. Crowded in the morning, emptier in the afternoons. A solid place to work remotely or bring the family. Love how they serve cocktails, beer, and wine too!

Even if you're not hungry, spend some time here. It'll be worth it. The selection was not as enormous as some other places throughout Denver, but the items they make are absolutely delicious. I had a smoked cheese baked into a split bread, and it was so good. We also got a citron tart, an apple tart, and gorgeous. All satisfying. The coffee... I didn't expect it, but it is top-tier coffee. I ordered the americano, and it was bursting with complex flavors. It wasn't just chocolate or burnt or, god forbid, dirt. It was more than just a diner coffee. A real coffee nerd would appreciate this coffee. I should have asked where the beans were from. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got it from one of Denver's top roasters. What a treat. We'll be back for sure.

So refreshing to hear that authentic greeting since I worked in Paris, France. The place is big and airy, similar to a warehouse. Everything is made on-site the day of. I opted for the pomme de Tarte (Apple tarte) and the olive baguette, which is Amazing! They told me that the baguette dough takes a few days to rise and sit. So it takes three days to make it. It tastes chewy and a little hint of sourdough taste, so good! It brought me back to Paris! I'll be back to try coffee and other things on their menu. I also noticed they sell the famous tea du marriage frères. I think if they offered a light lunch menu like Niçoise salad or croque monsieur it would be nice.
