Not only do I feel like I'm exercising, but I feel like I am spiritually connected as well. My acupuncturist recommended Yoga to me as a form of therapy, and boy was she right! I have been hooked ever since joining. Kim is a phenomenal instructor that establishes an even deeper connection to Yoga for me. With her as an instructor, I don't see myself going anywhere, any time soon. I definitely recommend Power Yoga Works if you are interested in getting started with Yoga. First off, when I said it was my first time at the studio, Penny the instructor, was sooo friendly and helpful. She showed me around and told me everything I might need to know as a new student at the studio. I've been to my share of new studios and many are not that welcoming to new students. Peggy guided a small group of us through an invigorating and challenging flow. I also like that they have taped off placement for mats and the best part is that there are no mirrors (at least in the room that we were in that night). I found that practicing without a mirror added a new challenge to my practice, especially in the balancing poses, and adds a layer of humbleness that is often forgotten in some yoga studios. I have lost 30lbs on my weight loss journey and Purenergy has been a huge part of that! For less than the cost of that massive gym in King of Prussia and way more variety than the "Citrus Concept" down the street, you can enjoy similar class offerings, free babysitting 8:30a-12pm Monday to Friday, and twice the ambiance! I find myself in Yoga a few days a week - the studio is beautiful and the mild heat is welcome in these bitterly cold winter months! I recommend Kristy's Wall class for a great deep stretch and Sarah's Power Flow for the ultimate mind/body stress relief! As part of my New Years Resolution, I am trying more of the fitness classes here, and thus far have taken Lisa's Tabata and Michelle's Burn class - both high-intensity interval training guaranteed to ramp up your energy! You'll also find pilates, barre, aerial, spinning, and martial arts classes here - ensuring you'll never get stuck in a rut! I'd personally love to see more Pilates or core based classes in the evening, but realize that has everything to do with instructor availability and member interest! :) Beyond the class offerings at Purenergy you'll find a welcoming atmosphere, clean locker rooms, and fresh towels for the sweat you're guaranteed to break! Drop in for a class - you'll be a member before you know it!

I had never done Bikram before and am now addicted. My back and neck pain was fully gone by the second day of practicing and my body just feels so strong and healthy. One teacher told me the hot yoga practice is really good for inflammation and detoxification and I definitely feel that.
