I was really pleased that he tried to fix it and showed us why it was beyond repair. We purchased a new system and got a very fair price. As part of the installation he and his team fixed a major error that the builder created when they put it in. Doing that fix will save us a lot in cooling costs and make our new system much more efficient. Tim's team came out a couple of times in order to remove the old system and install the new one. His guys were VERY clean and tidy at all times. They even put down plastic in the closet over our clothes so they didn't get dusty from the changeover. They cleaned up everything and even their appearance was clean and neat. The job they do is hard and it's hot, (in peoples attics) so it made me have even more respect for them that they took the time to be respectful of our house and also look professional. Tim took the time to explain things to me very patiently and answer several dumb questions of mine. I really appreciated that and in the process he helped me understand the whole HVAC system. As a result we are more educated about how to make the new system last and how to actually make it work for us and our budget. I can't recommend this company more highly. My two-story home, built in 2004, came with two HVAC systems. Each system had separate electric AC and gas furnace units, all of which were located in the attic. One of my AC units quit working during triple digit weather last summer. It was beyond repair. The refrigerant had leaked out and was no longer available. The only solution was a new AC. Circumstances were not favorable to install a new AC at that time and I don't like making hasty decisions, especially when spending thousands of dollars. I needed time to explore my options. Fast forward ten months... I survived last summer's heat with portable fans. Meanwhile I relied heavily on Consumer Reports articles and ratings to explore various HVAC options and various energy incentives like rebates and tax credits. I also read lots of HVAC reviews for the Inland Empire region. I invited a few licensed HVAC service providers to my home to assess my situation, discuss available options, answer questions and finally to submit bids to replace one or both of my HVAC systems with heat pumps. Of the three bids I received, the bid Inland Valley Heating and Air submitted was the most comprehensive AND the most budget-friendly, by thousands of dollars. Due to the age of my existing HVAC systems, I opted to replace both systems. The install took three days. Each team member knew and did their part. Tim kept me informed every step of the way. My parents had been having issues with their Heating and Air conditioning for close to a year but were procrastinating as we all do. Main reason is that it is so difficult to find a trust worthy HVAC mechanic that is not looking to give you some outrageous rate using some complicated verbiage about this "condenser" and this "thermal-thing-a-ma-jig" needing replacing. Then usually followed by it should be replaced ASAP otherwise your entire house is going to burn down if you don't get it fixed with them. Well, this was not the case this time. From the minute I called I received incredible customer service. I was greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the line and was able to schedule an appointment within minutes for them to come out and take a look at what was going on. Luis came out later that same day and was able to explain everything to me in layman's terms. So easy for me to understand everything. He was very honest and gave me a very fair price. Frank came out the next day and the job was done within a couple of hours. My parents are now enjoying the crisp fresh AC while sipping Margaritas indoors without a care in the world as the world outside melts. This was the first heat wave of 2020. My AC wasn't functioning up to par. It had very minimal flow of cold air coming in. Therefore I thought it would be a simple issue like the filter needed to be changed or something. I first call an initial company (which shall remain nameless) and they give me a very hard diagnostic where I would need to be spending at least $3K and up to $7K+. Multiple issues were apparantly found and it sounded like a nightmare, especially during this unprecedented COVID-19 time. I did not want to get into credit card debt for the first time in my life... As a result, I seeked a second opinion. A friend referred Solis to me and I was connected with Frank. He was immediately responsive via text message and was able to come on-site to my home within 48-hours. When Frank Solis came on-site, he was efficient and thorough. Something really cool was he asked for me to go up onto my rooftop with me so I can see everything. He explained what the issue was and gave a genuine diagnostic. My issue ended up being that all my refrigerant was gone due to a small leak. Long story short, he gave me the next step-by-step instructions on what to do so we can get the job done right and where my wallet would not die from a high surge of fees. My favorite thing was the HVAC 101! I learned a lot thanks to Frank. At the end when I was walking Frank out, I literally said, "I love you!"
