An hour and a half in the bitter cold alley later and line hadn't moved. Paid $10 for a notary waiver for a minor child and never got that, or my time back. Not one person in line moved so we eventually left. One very positive thing that came out of this was I met an awesome dude at Monique's about 20 minutes away who was an expert piercer with small a wait time and he took less than five minutes with his professionalism and skill to complete this simple ask. For a hectic event everyone working there was super friendly and it was a really fun vibe going on outside in the back and inside the shop. I've had these piercings for almost a year now and for somebody who has a notoriously hard time getting piercings to heal these came out amazingly well and I've had no major issues at all. Cozy even indicated that the top piercing on both lobes actually ended up hitting cartilage (small ear problems) which I could hear and feel when the piercing was going on (ew!) and warned me that it might make it a bit harder and longer to heal, but it still went fine and really healed up nicely! As a note: if you do go on a Friday the 13th make sure you get there early enough because it does take a while and be aware that you sign up/form a line behind the shop, not out front on the sidewalk.

Afterwards I noticed that the piercings were both crooked and entered in at different strange angles that would later cause me unneeded swelling and hindered the healing process. The approx. time for cartilage to heal is 8-12 weeks and at over 3 months later my ears are still sore and swollen and when I try to change my earrings I have immense difficulty guiding my earrings in. In my right ear the piercing is actually coming out the side of my ear instead of the back. I expected the employees at Piercing Pagoda to be well trained in ear piercing since that is their business specialty.
