The manager and assistant manager and head of HR wasn't present (I am suspicious that it's all the same guy) but at least there were pictures of him...even in the restroom (iykyk). It was my first tattoo in over 20 years and my husband's very first tattoo. The shop was pristine and Josh was so professional, personable, and let me just say his portfolio speaks for himself. I taught him out for his style and I am so pleased. The owner was there as well and he was great as well. Super cool people for piercing, just don't get anything advanced…read more tldr: the male piercer that works wednesday and thursday has an ego and used incorrect jewelry several times, eventually nearly causing me to have to go to the ER for a nesting/near embedded cheek piercing. long, reading: My current set up at this moment is : clown eyes, bridge, nostrils (one each side), septum, vert labret, and dahlias (most recent, got in jan 2026). I started with the nostrils and got 2 ladies that took care of me in every sense of the way, even showing me the best way to clean them. I was also lucky enough to have them do my clown eyes. It was great having a shared goal to get everything even, the piercer with me even bringing in other people to check. However, my issue started when I got the labret and bridge. For context, I got the labret out of town but it dramatically shifted to the left when healing so I removed it to get redone. When going back in a few months later, I am told they don't do those and I'll have to come back wednesday or thursday for the more experienced male piercer. I don't see him do anything sus until he grabs 2 curved barbells. While I do have knowledge that bridge are done with straight bars, I know it is common for older professionals to use the curve so I don't say anything. When sitting down, he examined my previous scar on my lip and started shaming the previous person (while i understand it still put a strange vibe). When I feel him put the dot i mention "if you're planning to line it up with my teeth it'll turn out like that again." He dismisses me and assures me that it looks even to him. Yes it looks even but, with future knowledge, i can tell you it's not. it is still slightly to the left but i really can't be bothered to spend the money to get it done a third time just for me. Strike one. When moving onto the bridge, i ask about the bar. as i assumed he reassured me they "used to do it this way all the time". it is now lopsided and, while this can't be entirely his fault, it still has yet to heal completely. I am considering healing it over and going somewhere else as i dearly need to be symmetrical. strike 2. The nightmare i shouldn't have bothered with was with my dahlias. I again am asked to wait for him as it's a delicate spot and can be botched easily. fine. on the day, i see him again grab 2 curved barbells. i think "surely those aren't for me, this is a cheek piercing even I know that cheeks swell." sure enoug, in go the curved bars. i really should've walked out. they looked good for about 1 day. once the swelling started it wasnt long before the ball on the inside was starting to tunnel. since i had gotten it done on thursday and this is the only place in a 20 mile radius willing to tackle dahlias, i am forced to wait it out. when going in wednesday the following week, i have a hole in my cheek and the other is catching up quick (keep in mind this is all near my mouth so i'm barely able to even talk without some pain). while i admit this may have been rude, i did say to the receptionist when signing in, "i told you guys this isn't the right bar and you didn't listen". she of course didn't relay this to the piercer and seemed rather offended that i'd question his methods at all.? to their credit, they changed the bars no charge but that was certainly strike 3 4 5 and 6 double play. if y'all read this and remember me, sorry not sorry i still have the long bars in the dahlias and it's been 6 months now. no teeth chipped like you were oh so afraid of.

We were greeted by Bella who was so helpful and knowledgeable she asked what we wanted , made suggestions and even in my case I thought I was "re Peircing " two of my old Peircings I haven't worn in 20 years but she explained she was going to check to see if the holes were still open . The fact that Bella could have charged me for a Peircing and jewelry but said she was going to check to see if we could just get the jewelry in was one of the things that stood out the most , I love an establishment with honest people that aren't just trying to make a $ and genuinely love what they do . Bella was a whole vibe and so sweet and gentle for someone who's jabbing you with a needle ! They had a GREAT selection of body jewelry and the establishment was super clean ! We got several piercings and it was so nice that Bella took her time even though it was close to closing time ! Have been blessed with the artwork of Jeremy Scott. I presented him with my idea for a custom piece that maybe was out of his comfort zone and he ran with it. Every sitting he was enthusiastic for and made me feel completely comfortable.He even went out of his way to work around my schedule and showed up earlier than he normally would. There's a real family vibe when you are in the shop, which I appreciate. I was hesitant to go to a shop in the mall, but I'm grateful that I did. I find myself just dropping by to say hello now when I'm in the mall! Would recommend to anyone. Prices are more than fair and I would definitely pay more for the amazing work that is done there. Corey did my "first" tattoo a couple of years ago and it still looks as awesome today as it did back then! My experience was wonderful from start to finish. Corey explained the process very well, so I knew what to expect. More importantly, Corey's artistic ability is what drew me to him. When I told him what I wanted, he created something over-the-top awesome that I was/am THRILLED with! As well, the store is very clean and everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful.... I certainly don't recommend to go to Atomic Tattoos at Countryside Mall as I got a foot back in October 2020 the tattoo faded and I had to go back in November for a re touch, well had to go back in December to show them tattoo faded again, supervisor was going to call me back which never happened, I showed up at the store today 1-2-21 and they turned me around out saying that the tattoo faded due to "my skin tone and location of tattoo", accordingly to them I have to touch up my tattoo "for the rest of my life", really? Every month..... I am highly disappointed with this place. Poor customer service as well! Just don't go there! read more

Paid for a full tattoo and the artist ran out of time to finish it. I offered to pay a little extra to cover the next session, but he said it wouldn't be a problem since I had already paid for the entire tattoo. I tried to reschedule with him, with no replies. Then I contacted the page twice, and still have had no response on when I could have it completed. Due to this, I will not be returning, and I can not recommend them. It sucks that one artist ruined it for the entire shop. 2 stars because I liked talking to Tommy (who wasn't my artist) and because the atmosphere is awesome. read more

For many years I have bounced from artist to artist in various shops here in the Tampa Bay. I moved to the Tampa area a little over 3 years ago. Started looking for a good tattoo shop, Atomic was the first shop I walked into, three years later, still the only shop for me! My artiest have a been a few of the guys but my main artiest is Lance Bowen. He has tattooed basically both arms into sleeves, still a lot if work to do but the quality of the art if phenomenal! Corey, the tattoo artist did my lotus flower and it is amazing! Nothing but great comments on it. Took him about four hours and he made it a good experience. Since starting getting tattooed at 18,I've found nobody better to get tattooed by than Tommy Johnson,his professionalism is outstanding,expect nothing less than a perfect traditional tattoo from him,bold colors and clean lines. I've been tattooed at this location by three of the artists. Every tattoo has healed up fantastic! Never had to get a touch up and none of the line work or color has faded. Horrible experience piercer looks like a creep and they don't let your partner or friend come to the back with you to get a piercing and they say it a stupid Florida law when no other tattoo shop has that law never again going there hope they close down the place read more

I was prepared for pain, especially at the lateral malleolus/ankle bone, but he was so gentle that it barely hurt. I also got a piercing and he was just as friendly and professional for that. Prices were decent and quality is on point. 100% recommended and I will DEFINITELY be back to see him for my next work.

You can see that they have a lot of experience and passion for what they do. I definitely recommend it. Lou had the wrong date scheduled, but we managed to work out another date and time that worked out better for all of us. We found the place easily. Lou greeted us right away, and we started to fine-tune the details for each of our BFF butterfly tattoos. It was obvious he had already spent a lot of time working on several different design elements. I was impressed with his creativity and the effort made to make sure we would both be happy with the end results. Once we agreed on each design, he got right to it. His work area was very clean and organized. He opened the needles in front of us and wore gloves to work as he should. We were surprised how quickly & efficiently he worked.
