Don't use if you have any issues with gas. Had a gas leak from our water heater and they were sent out by the warranty company. They came twice and told us there wasn't really a leak. We have Atlanta Gas Light come TWICE - before and after High Priority's visit and there was still a leak. HP's plumber assured us it was fine - saying the gas leak WASN'T coming from the fuel line that Atlanta Gas Light said it was coming from. Finally we called a real plumber who fixed it immediately. This plumber also said it was the fuel line connection and did the job correctly. Basically, the idiots at High Priority should not be trusted with anything. They're a lawsuit waiting to happen. Look anywhere else for plumbing needs. Edited to reflect response below: Three other professionals came out and were quickly able to smell the leak. It would behoove you to get actual equipment to test for a leak rather than rely on the smell of your technicians since that can prove to be faulty. This is especially concerning when we had the plumber come out SPECIFICALLY FOR A GAS LEAK. Please have the equipment to be ready to address the service request. read more

High Priority Plumbing came to one of my homes and charged me $700 to repair a plumbing issue. Two days later I had to call them back as the problem was not remedied. One of their other technicians came out and addressed the issue that was not done correctly the first time. When I told him what I paid, he commented that that was way more than what it should have been. Which is what I thought, but I was in a jam and needed help, so I paid it. They were responsive, so when I had another plumbing matter at another home, I called them to get a quote. They quoted me around $9,100 for the job. I knew that was way out of line. So I called another plumber and they just completed the job and all is well. My invoice was $2,100. Call another plumber. These guys are ripping people off terribly. read more

I called High Priority Plumbing after my wife had seen them at a home and garden show marketing their services. They responded to my home the day after I called, and CJ, the plumber who responded, was very personable and professional. I needed to have two outside faucets replaced. Outside faucets normally sell for $15 or so. PVC pipe and adhesive cost $10 or so. The cost of parts for the job would be less than $50. CJ gave me a quote for the job.... $437!!!! Let that sink in. That would be over $350 for labor that would take about an hour or less. Unbelievable. I made what I thought was a very generous offer of $200 for the job. CJ called his boss, and he said no. If you don't care about the cost use them. If you do, look elsewhere. read more

Apparently he described our broken toilet as a 'pre-existing' condition to the home warranty people even though it clearly broke last week. I think he was just lazy. DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBING SERVICE. They were sent out by our home warranty company to check a leaky shower. The shower is now broken! The plumber told me the problem was fixed but when I checked the shower later, it would not even turn on. High Priority took no responsibility for it. Had to get another plumber out. Shower works but is still broken. Will eventually have to replace it. Terrible service. I rarely leave reviews but do not want to see another homeowner get ripped off. I would give them zero stars if I could. They replaced a Sewer Ejector pump in my house in September for a basement bathroom that gets used rarely. I flushed that toilet this morning for maybe the 10th time since they did the work and surprise my utility room is flooded with sewage water because they didn't fix it correctly. I was assigned to High Priority by my Home Warranty company (AHS). They scheduled me extremely quickly and sent out a very personable technician to work on three running toilets and a dripping bathroom faucet. I can't think of that technicians name to save my life, but he was friendly. He "fixed" the toilets, even replaced a bad handle as well. He changed out something in the sink to "stop" the leak, I signed my papers, paid my warranty fee and he left. Well bad news...... The drip in my sink was now a full fledge run and my toilets were running worse than they where before. So yes on one hand he was personable and friendly, but on the other hand he did awful work. So I ended up having to actually turn the water off under the sink and to the toilets to stop the run. I called High Priority and they told me to call AHS to send them out again. So I did. They sent Donny today. He discovered my toilet issues and fixed them, but unfortunately when I turned the sink water back on from underneath it refused to leak! REFUSED!!! DAGGUMIT!!!! So we waited and waited... NOTHING! Donny completed my paperwork and left. So.....just as you guessed it 15 minutes after he left, there goes the durn sink. I call High Priority and the rep immediately calls Donny for me. He returns after his current customer and fixes me up. So far so good!!!! If I don't come back for another review-I'm still in good shape, just know that Donnie and the customer service reps provided me with great service. They really saved what was originally a one star due to bad work. Wow, I had a lot to say. read more

Came out for a clogged pipe, snaked the drain unsuccessfully and took off with the $100 service claiming my warranty company would refund it. Little did I know is that the service fee went directly to the plumbing company and cannot be refunded becuase the payment isn't to the warranty company (like a copayment situation). Called a different plumber the next day and they remedied the issue in under an hour. They also took a while to get on the schedule when we had sewage coming up the drain. Highly suggest going through someone else. read more

Not a fan. Have used them multiple times and need to request experienced plumbers bc the ones without experience will offer to cut holes into your ceiling without actually understanding the issue. If you request a specific person, they will send someone else in their place without informing you. Second time, they ordered the wrong part. This time they changed their policy to waive their fee for prior customers. Did not send out a communication of this change and when I spoke to someone, she refused to allow me to speak to anyone else bc this how its been done (which was chalked up to this is all she knows, but how about acknowledging your lack of training instead of making me sound i didnt have this conversation with multiple people already?). I asked for a supervisor and supervisor said "she doesn't know anything else and i don't know who you spoke to, to get your fee waived - well, no one actually bc I have been told this is how things were done and was indicated as such. I recently used High Priority based on my insurance company's recommendation and the service was inadequate. When the technician saw the missing stopper, he asked if I had ever had one. I stated yes and that the stopper broke off from the plumbing and I threw it away. I was not able to use the insurance due to the technician indicating that I had a missing stopper top. When I tried to understand why my missing stopper would hinder the process of repairing the stopper, he instantly indicated that I could pay $167.00 with his company to resolve the issue. He also indicated that the stopper was in the state of disrepair, but refused to replace due to the missing stopper top. Even when I showed him a new stopper top I bought, he refused to honor my insurance warranty. When I spoke to Home Shield, they indicated that the technician stated that my plumbing issue was not due to normal wear and tear. He never mentioned the missing part. It is clear that the technician would have received both the trip fee from Home Shield and the $167.00 I would have had to pay the company to fix the issue and therefore, he attempted to receive both. When I contacted the business manager at the establishment, she indicated that the insurance companies put in information that they want. When I ask how the technician gave the information, she stated that he verbalized it to them and not through written documentation. She also stated that she stood by the technician although she didn't have actual proof of what he stated to the company. Clearly, don't do business with this company if you are working with an insurance company. They will attempt to get money from both the insurance company and the insurer. read more

recently moved from a condo in Downtown to a single-family home in East Atlanta. discovered that we had brown water coming from our hot water faucets, so we reached out to our home warranty providers, who suggested that we use High Priority Plumbing to inspect and possibly replace our hot water heater. HPP did an excellent job from start to finish and made us aware of any outstanding issues with our old water heater and provided great information about replacement options. communication with them was fantastic and we'd definitely use them in the future (even after our home warranty expires!). read more

Shortly after submitting a claim with the warranty company I received a very courteous phone call from High Priority and the person worked with me and my schedule. I received a service visit on time with a courtesy call from the technician. he was very professional and had all the necessary parts to complete the repair on my Hot Water Heater. The technician misdiagnosed the location of a leak that flooded my basement to my warranty company, causing them to deny coverage. When I discovered the true location of the leak, he refused to admit his mistake even after being shown a picture of it. He was rude and hung up me as I tried to explain this. I had to hire another plumber who came out and easily fixed the issue. I now have to fight for reimbursement from the warranty company. I would never recommend this kind of person to do any work of any kind in a person's home. Update: the comment below is a lie. The technician never came back out to our home to see the leak. 7 phone calls later, arguing with customer service representatives on times they committed to but had scheduled service for two days later. The process started off well with getting an appointment. It was the follow up and follow through that was non existent. This company was assigned through American Home Shield, my home warranty company. I was so aggravated with this entire experience that I am seriously considering canceling my AHS home warranty policy. Rest assured, my first and last time using this plumbing company. 12/21 UPDATE: I reviewed the comment posted by High Priority Plumbing. It is 100% incorrect. I had no pipes that were leaking outside of my home. High Priority's technician stated that the faucet fixture INSIDE MY HOUSE was defective from the manufacturer. It had nothing to do with anything outside of my house. A new faucet was ordered and installed by my warranty company with no issues on that front. We could not have had a worse experience with High Priority Plumbing. My brother scheduled a time between 3-6pm for a plumber to come look at a leaky shower on the second floor that was causing major damage to the ceiling. At 12:47 we got a call from the plumber saying he would be early and would he be able to come at 1:30. We were at lunch half an hour away but agreed to meet at 2pm. We got back to the house at 1:30 and spent the afternoon waiting. At 4pm we called the plumber asking when he might be arriving as we had been waiting for two hours at that point. He told us that he had been waiting in his car from 2pm onwards and left at 3:15pm. We received no phone call, heard no knocks on the door (and there were three of us in the house with no television, no music or loud noises). The plumbing service had GPS saying he was here, he left a magnet but at no point did he call or knock in anyway that we heard. We were subsequently unable to find anyway to reschedule with this plumber, have a new one dispatched and were forced to call the house warranty company to find another plumbing service entirely. Now I was out of town visiting from NYC, we canceled out our afternoon plans to wait, had to make new plans for another plumber to come the next day and suffered substantial unnecessary damage. Avoid them at all costs. What kind of plumber waits without trying to get in contact with his client? He had our number as he called to try to come earlier. Why just sit outside? Something fishy was clearly afoot. read more

Would have rated this company with zero stars, if it was possible. Needles to say, I strongly do not recommend this company. They think they can take advantage of their customers. After stalling for two days to give me a break down of the charges, this company quoted me for installing a water heater and told me installation required a dripping pan (Most expensive add-on item, besides the water heater) and stated it was required by code. As an informed consumer, I had two other bigger companies give me quotes and those companies stated the dripping pan is not required unless the water heater is located in a attic or a second floor. Mine is located on the first floor, in the laundry room which has tile floor. When this company's technician came and saw that the water heater was leaking, he even stated that he was not too worry because the area has tile and suggested me to just to keep an eye on it. I looked up GA Code which states: 504.7 Required Pan. Pans shall be installed under water storage tanks installed in attics or above ceilings. As you can clearly see, High Priority's first priority is to rip you off, literally,if you let them. My recommendation: Stay away from them! read more

I generally have had horrible experiences from plumbers in Atlanta. I notice that High Priority does not have great reviews on here, but mine will be a good one. My water heater went out, and I tried to have it repaired via American Home Shield. The company they connected me to, A-Total Plumbing, was horrible and wanted me to have all kinds of work done on my attic, where the heater is located, before they would touch it. I connected with High Priority for an issue with my disposal unit (yes, they went out around the same time) after I refused to work with the other plumber. Andre with High Priority came out, repaired the disposal and gave me a very reasonable quote on replacing my water heater without requiring me to do any work on the attic. He came out when he was supposed to, and he and his assistant were done in less than 2 hours. I have a lovely new water heater, and I am very pleased. I hope that I do not have to call a plumber again any time soon, but I would certainly call High Priority if the need arose. read more

Where do I begin. Water Heater went out and had several estimates along with poor customer service. Researched some more and came across High Priority. I cannot remember the young lady who answered the phone, I believe her name was Paulette. However speaking with her was the first indication that I choose the right place. Her customer service was phenomenal, something unfortunately that tends to lack at such establishments. My husband told her the problem and within an hour she had someone out to the house right away. That's when we met Charlie and he was a life saver as well, he discovered the problem, gave us a date and time he could come start the job and he was a man of his word, he actually showed up 2 hours early. Awesome personality and worked very clean. Needless to say we are very pleased and will refer this company to our family and friends. To bad I'm not in the plumbing business because I would steal Charlie in a heartbeat. read more

I will not be using the services from High Priority Plumbing again. I called my home warranty about 2 plumbing issues (leaking faucet and running toilet) and they sent a plumber out. The plumber did not fix anything, and then charged me the $75 service fee. He told me he found nothing wrong with the toilet and that it is normal for the faucet to leak up to 48 hours after you shower. Naturally, I was frustrated. I called the company back and told them to please send a different plumber out to fix the problems. They sent a different plumber out and he fixed the toilet and told me he would be back to fix the faucet the next week, after I could notify my HOA that the water had to be shut off for my building. I was very pleased with his service and kindness. Well, I assumed this second plumber would have come back to fix the leaky faucet....but they sent the first guy back. He was rude and unprofessional when he arrived and told me that he couldn't shut the water off unless a maintenance man was there. So we rescheduled AGAIN, and I called High priority twice to make sure the plumber that was coming out next time was the second one, not the rude guy. Well, of course, they sent the rude one back. I was very frustrated with this and will use different plumbing services next time. The second star is because, at least they arrived on time. read more

High Priority Plumbing was sent out to our house as part of our home warranty contract with AHS. The problem was not covered by the warranty so the company gave us a quote for them to make the repair (a leaking water main line between the street and the house). This was for an ACTIVE leak to the house that had caused our water bill to be almost $700. The tech said they could make the repair ASAP, he quoted us a reasonable price, and they even had a coupon for this exact type of work on their website. My husband and I then spent the next TWO WEEKS calling the company every single day trying to schedule them to come out to make the repair. Every day they gave us the runaround and promised to call us back to schedule. We never once received a return call (it has now been over 3 weeks). The last time I called them the lady said they weren't sure if they could even do this type of work. If that is the case, WHY did they give us a quote for it, WHY is there a coupon for this type of work on their website, and WHY didn't they tell us this immediately rather than over TWO WEEKS after they gave us the quote, during which time we have an ongoing active leak costing us money and causing secondary damage? The people I spoke with on the phone (daily) were very nice, but this type of customer service is absolutely absurd. We never once got a phone call from them. We called them every single day trying to schedule this work, and I'm not talking about a small repair, this was going to cost us almost $2000, you would think they would want our business. Apparently not. I will never ever do business with High Priority again. I have made American Home Shield aware of the problem and asked them to drop them from their list of vendors. I had this company come out with my home warranty, AHS. I had an inspector report a leak under the kitchen sink and also I needed a vent trap installed. The guy came out, I told him I had run the water in the sink and couldn't reproduce the leak, he said "there is no leak here". Did not run the water. I took him at his word because I am not a plumber. He then inspected for the trap (even went into the crawlspace) and told me he would contact me with an estimate, that since there was no trap AHS would not pay, the estimate was somewhere between 225 and 425.00. I paid my 100.00 service charge to AHS. No call back, 4 days later I call a plumbing company I have relied on for years for my personal home and 4 rental properties, Michaels Plumbing, guy comes out to give me an estimate to install a trap under the kitchen sink. Lo and Behold, we already have a trap installed in the crawlspace - he took pictures of it and showed it to me. How did Priority Plumbing miss that ? I asked him to double check the leak under the sink - he runs the water in both sides and there is the leak, needed a washer, fixed in 3 min. I paid him 125.00 for his time. I would have had to pay him a trip charge anyway. Why would I pay him the 70.00 trip charge and then call AHS to send another company out to fix the leak ? I do not have even 1.00 to spare, much less 100.00 Called priority plumbing and told them their plumber misdiagnosed the problem under the sink - they will not refund the AHS service charge. I call AHS to see if I can get the 100.00 service charge, they will not. They told me I should have switched vendors. WHAT ? do not use this company. I told AHS to take high priority plumbing off the list for any of my service calls. As a former business owner this is no way to do business. ****since posting this review on Yelp I received a call from the marketing manager of High Priority Plumbing. The women that answer the phone are extremely bitchy and have plenty of excuses but no idea of what customer service is or how to help get things done. They are experts of why they can not do things. Like a lot of other people, I was referred to High Priority as part of American Home Shield. I had read my entire contract in advance and had a pretty good idea of what was covered and what wasn't, however it was my first time using any such Warranty. Scheduling was a breeze, and much to my surprise Cory called and arrived in the first half hour of my appointment window... that just doesn't happen in Atlanta. He was very helpful in helping me navigate the ins and outs of the Warranty, and was able to get the repair approved by AHS and completed within two hours. Overall it was a great experience, and made me feel a ton better about the investment I had made in a home warranty, however I would use High Priority again with our without it. read more

Gee, of all the negative reviews here, and there are a lot, why are you responding to me? It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact I disputed the $75 credit card charge, right? Your constant badgering of me to "get resolution" and "do the right thing" seem to correlate with the CC dispute. Yes, you have a picture, we did talk and Darin was here for an hour. Your picture is blurry and shows nothing. You were essentially belittling me in our conversation while telling me I was wrong. And Darin spent a good bit of his time sitting in the van. There is no need to spin this as a positive outcome. Until you start responding to all the bad reviews here, it is obvious that you are just sore over the loss of your service charge. read more
