They provide true one-on-one attention and take the time to make sure you fully understand maneuvers, pre-trip inspection, and road driving instead of rushing you through training. Byron's son was especially patient, thorough, and professional, and always made sure I felt confident and prepared. The pricing is very fair for the quality of training you receive. They also train you on manual (stick shift) trucks, which allowed me to graduate with no transmission restrictions on my CDL, opening up more job opportunities. I highly recommend this school to anyone serious about getting their CDL.

I was clearly told that all of those days and hours were available, and the school also sent me those available times by message. Based on that confirmation, I immediately made my payment. After they received my payment, I was suddenly told that the same days and hours they had just confirmed as available were no longer available. This was a major change from what I was told before payment, and I have screenshots proving the schedule and the confirmations I received before I paid.

Highly highly recommend!!!…read more I did the 15 hour course and it came out to 2100 I believe total. The first test you take at the DMV they let you use the truck for free and then every time after is 300 if you don't pass first try. The next best priced school I found was 3600 but unlimited truck usages on the test. I went with Los Angeles Trucking College because I didn't think it would take me 5 try's at the DMV to pass so it was cheaper. I guess that's a risk you have to decide for yourself. This is the bare minimum you need to obtain your CDL. I know this school has other packages that might be better for you depending on what reason you are getting your cdl. The minimum was the best choice for me. Some companies want a certain number of certified hours behind the wheel so the minimum won't be enough for you. I really recommend this school it was smooth sailing the whole way through. The class is 10 hours on the road and 5 hours practicing the 4 movements you have to do at the dmv. Although I paid for only 15 hours there were multiple days that they offered me extra classes because some student called out or they just had extra time for free. I didn't know how to drive manual and had zero experience driving trucks. The first time driving on the road we had to pull to the side and the instructor had to break things down really slowly for me because I kept stalling out so many times. After 2 weeks of class I passed my test on my first try. I was actually really anxious leading up to the test because I just didn't have money to spend if I failed. I had 2 different instructors and both were good and answered any questions I had. They both seemed to know when they needed to step in and correct me and when to let me figure out what I was doing wrong on my own so I didn't feel like I was being berated the entire time if that makes sense. Also one thing I found with this school that I didn't see on any other videos from other schools is when explaining the 4 movements you do at the DMV this school explains it with steps. Like "when "x" tire passes this line turn wheel all the way left". "Hard left until you see the trailer line up with the body of the truck" the reason this is so awesome is because if you follow the steps exactly how they teach you then you are almost guaranteed to pass the 4 movements. You aren't just guessing and trying to eyeball anything. Just follow the steps.

### 5-Star Review for Edison Truck and Bus Driving School…read more Wow, where do I even start? At 68 years young (retired business exec here), I decided to dive headfirst into getting my CDL Class B P with Hazmat endorsement--no prior truck or bus driving experience whatsoever. I'd just landed a sweet job offer from a local bus company, but I knew I needed some solid training to hit the ground running. A quick AI search led me to Edison, and after digging into reviews, their rep, and all the details I could find, I signed up for their 80-hour program. For two straight months, I threw myself into it--classes four days a week, plus cramming like it was my first rodeo (which it kinda was). And let me tell you, this was hands-down one of the best learning experiences of my life. The whole place feels like family, run by the Freire crew who've been at it for over 30 years with tons of real-deal commercial driving under their belts. They're patient as saints, super knowledgeable, and get the DMV tests inside out--they're with you every bumpy mile of the way. I had an absolute blast! If you're on the fence about a CDL school, skip the hesitation and go straight to Edison. Huge shoutout to my instructors Tonnie Freire, Jordan Freire, and Julio--you guys made it fun, challenging, and totally doable. Couldn't recommend this place more!
